78 There's A Love Story

"Oh..I didn't know." Xue Mei still calm.

"Ah, don't worry. This villa had ten room. Even though I rarely come here, I also had my favorite room. So you two can choose either one room here." She stops her pace at the hallway.

"Okay. Thanks, Ying Yue." Xue Mei said and she just randomly twist one of the room doorknobs.

"Sure. After the shower, help me at the kitchen okay?" She smiles and leaves them both to return back to her room.

Close the door, she looks at the inside of the room. Very classy and still comfortable enough. Like a hotel.

She put her bag on the bed and take out her clothes before she went to the bathroom. Rinsing her whole body which is sticky with the sweat and the sea water.

Half an hour later, Ren Zhi and Xui Li return to the villa. They parked their car at the side of the courtyard and bring out all the preparation item for barbecue from the trunk.

Xue Mei, Risa, and Ying Yue were busy taking out the plates and cup. While Ha Eun still in her bedroom.

She actually needs to take her medicine. She needs to be rest for at least an hour after taking the medicine.

"Hi, girls. We're back." Xui Li take the plastic bag and put on the kitchen counter.

"So, what did you buy, senpai?" Risa rummages the plastic bag.

"Just a wine, candy, fruits, and extra food to grilled." He took out a strawberry in the plastic container. Open it, he took one and bite it.

Xue Mei's eyes lit a bit seeing strawberry. "Strawberry." She took one and look at Xui Li, like asking for permission.

Looking at her, he tilts his head a little. Not knowing her stare meaning. "What?"

"Can I have one?"

"Oh, here. It's sour. I thought it's gonna taste sweet." He shoves the strawberry that he took a bite earlier to her mouth.

Munching the strawberry, she squinting her eyes a bit. "Erm..yup. Sour."

She put the strawberry on her hand back to the container before she closes the lid and put into the fridge.

Turning around, she looks at Ren who just went inside the house by back door.

"I already set up the grill at the backyard. You girls can start first while I and Xui Li take shower." He said.

"Okay." Risa takes the plate while Ying Yue take the marinated meat container to the backyard.

Xue Mei still at the sink, washing some utensil, while Xui Li already went upstairs.

"Um, did you see Ha Eun?" Ren asks when he didn't see her.

"Erm...She hasn't out from her room since we're back." Xue Mei closes the tap and wipes her hand with a clean cloth.

"What?" He immediately went to her room in flash.

Again, Xue Mei was a bit shocked. She follows him from behind.

Knocking on the door, he calls out Ha Eun's name.

Ha Eun weakly went to the door. Open it.

"What's wrong, Ren?"

"Oh, god. Are you okay?" He holds her shoulder with both of his hand.

"Huh? I'm okay. I just take my medicine, so I need to at least rest for an hour before I can do any activity again. You know it takes a lot of my energy." She smiles at him. Ensuring him that she was okay.

"Oh, thank god, you're okay." He pulls her closer and hugs her.

Xue Mei right at the corner when she wants to go and look at Ha Eun. Seeing Ren Zhi pull her to his embrace, she stops her pace. She is either shock or sad. Both of it mixed in one. She turns around and breathes in.

She peeks again, seeing that Ren Zhi already release her from the hug and she close her door again.

Once Ren Zhi turns back, he was startled to see Xue Mei at the corner of the corridor.

"Babe?" He stretches his arm to her, but she retreats a step back and says.

"Uh, I need to help other girls. So.." She gulps a bit and returns her body again. Want to go downstairs.

"Xue Mei, wait..listen to me." He grabs her hand and pulls her body close to him.

"I know you saw it. I'm sorry. Really." He tries to reason with her.

"Mm. I got it. Can you release me? You're not bath yet." She tries to push him a little.

"Listen, I just worried about her. There's nothing other than that. Okay?" He releases her slowly.

Nod her head, she says. "Okay. I got it."

"Seriously, the only one I love is you." He staring her eyes, hoping that she would believe him.

She did not reply to anything and just nod her head.

"Alright, I take a shower first before I help you and the other girls."

"Hmm."

At the backyard, they had a lively dinner.

Ren Zhi and Ha Eun do the grilling after Xue Mei and Risa. Xue Mei, Ying Yue, and Risa enjoying the dinner at the courtyard long table.

Xui Li is at the corner of the lawn, he was on the phone with someone. After he has done, he went to them and sit at the wooden bench facing the girls.

"Xui Li, I heard you bought that villa across Ren's Villa. Is it true?" Ying Yue asks when he returns back to the table.

"Hm? Yeah. It's been empty for a long time. So I think it will be a convenience if I had property here. I can make it as one of my rent villas for tourist." He opens up a bottle of wine that he bought earlier and pour it into a glass.

He swirls his wine first before he took a sip. "You know, there's a love story between that villa and this villa." He continues again.

"Yeah, I heard about it too." Ying Yue also take the wine bottle and pour into her glass.

"Really? Is it like Romeo and Juliet? Or maybe like the fairy tale story?" Xue Mei supports her chin using both of her hand on the table. Her eyes tell that she is excited to hear the story.

Chuckles, Xui Li ruffles her hair a bit.

"It's happened a long time ago. Maybe in our grandparent's time, I'm not so sure. But there's a man who lives at the villa that I bought." He took the skewer on the plate and eat it half before he continues again.

"That man is a single mogul. He is quite handsome, had money and he works freely. Which is not bound with working hours. He likes to live peacefully in here."

"And in this villa." Ying Yue continue. She looks at the villa behind them for a moment before she diverts her eyes back to Risa and Xue Mei.

"There's a woman. She is married to a mob master. This villa is like her hiding place. She only comes here for two or three times a year. And from the local people, they say that the woman is also such a beauty, in their era that time."

"Because they basically are a neighbor, that man who live across this villa fall in love with her. But, it's a forbidden love. The woman is someone's wife and she also loves her husband, even though the husband always treats her awfully and sometimes, she would be back with some wound on her body."

"Erm, I heard about that part too." Xui Li sips his wine again.

"The one who always treats her wound and keeps her safe is that man who lives across this villa. He promises her that he will only marry her and will wait for her even they grew old."

"Did the woman get a divorce after that?" Risa ask.

Both of Xui Li and Ying Yue shake their head. "No. But something bad happens."

"The news about the girl goes missing makes him decide to go to town and look for her. There's nothing about her that he can find. It's like she never existed. One day, he was killed in a traffic collision. He didn't get to see her for the last time."

"Poor that man." Xue Mei said honestly.

"Mm...I heard that the woman return back to this villa a few years later. She visits that man's grave and after she returns from the cemetery, she died in her sleep."
