117 I'll Make The Distance Feel Shor

At dawn, Xue Mei wakes up from her sleep. She feels thirsty. Seeing how intimate they were, Xue Mei blushed a bit. She removes Xui Li's hand from her waist and she shifts down slowly from his king-size bed.

Find her satin robe, she wears it and tied it before she leaves the bedroom to go to the kitchen.

She opens the fridge and took a glass of juice from it. Drinking it, she looks at the clock hanging on the wall. It is 5 AM right now. After drinking, she went to sink and that's when she heard a click sound from the kitchen door.

She looks at the person as the person also a bit shocked to see Xue Mei at the kitchen.

"What are you doing here?" Xue Mei ask. She put the glass back at the cupboard before turning around to Amanda.

"My daily routine." She replies. She pulls her sleeve up and opens the fridge. She takes out a few ingredients to the counter table.

"Routine?" Xue Mei watch her every movement.

"Yeah, I made Xui Li's breakfast every day. So that he can get healthy nutrition. His schedule is pack and he sometimes had no time to eat. This week I can guess that he can't even rest when you are around."

Xue Mei raises her brow a little. Surprise by what she heard. 'So, she's telling me that I am unneeded here?'

"Well, for this week, how about if you don't have to trouble yourself for making him a breakfast? I can prepare it for him. You can have your rest at this time." She tries to have a good exchanging vibe with her.

"Hmph, can you cook? Normally a girl from a rich family doesn't know how to hold a spatula." She smirking mocking her.

Xue Mei laughs to hear it. 'Rich girl? She's damn wrong.'

"Of course. I know how to make a very delicious breakfast. My darling also likes it. Do you want to try my homemade breakfast?"

"I doubt about it." She continues to make breakfast and ignoring Xue Mei.

Feeling a bit triggered by her action, she went to the stool to sit and watch her making the breakfast.

"Say, Amanda. Did you have any feeling toward my darling back?" She approaches her with straightforwardly.

"If I say yes, what you're gonna do about it?" She still with her cold attitude.

Thinking a moment, she smiles after that. "Nothing particularly. But I must advise you, that it is a waste of time for you to hope he will return back to you."

"What makes you so sure? He's here with me all the time. While you..he just meet you when he had free time. You never know what he's doing while you were away, right? You don't even know if he may be sleeping with another woman besides you. He's famous, so many girls want to climb to his bed. Do you think you're special? Huh..think it again."

Her word is like piercing her heart. She loses her composure for the first time, slams the kitchen counter with her hand she then stood up and leave her at the kitchen.

'Dammit!' She curses while going back to Xui Li's room.

Laying back on the bed with a bit angry, Xui Li scrunch his eyebrow a bit. He still sleepy when he feels like his bed has been hit by the hurricane.

"Dear..what's wrong?" He searches Xue Mei body beside him and he could feel that she lied down at the edge of the bed.

"Dear?" He pulls her closer and she pushes him aside.

"Hey..what's wrong?" He finally opens up his eyes and moves closer to her. He touches her shoulder gently.

"Mmm..nothing." She tries to suppress her anger.

"Don't lie. You never push me like this. Tell me, what is it?" He still calms in coaxing her.

"Nothing! I want to sleep!" She pulls the comforter up to her neck and grips it.

"Okay. I won't push you to tell me." He kisses her side of the head and lay back beside her.

At 7 AM, Xui Li already went downstairs to have breakfast.

Xue Mei also went downstairs. She ignores Xui Li's group as they talk about work on the dining table. Went to the kitchen, she makes her own breakfast.

Not willing to eat what Amanda has cooked. She suddenly hates her. She's not the same as Ying Yue and Ha Eun. Even though both of them hold an important place in Ren Zhi's heart, she never feels so irritated like this.

This feeling is new to her. It also makes her feels like she is a bad girlfriend to ignore Xui Li and fire out her anger to him. While she was making her breakfast, she didn't notice that Xui Li already standing beside her.

"What are you making?" He asks her and that makes Xue Mei flinch a bit.

"Xui Li! You startling me." She growls at him.

Xui Li chuckles. He then bends down to see what she's making. Putting his hand around her waist and his chin rested on her shoulder.

"Smell delicious. Can I have some?" He asks.

"Didn't you just having breakfast that Amanda makes for you?" She rolled her eyes in annoyed when she had to say her name.

Ivan, Ethan, and Amanda turn to look at the pair of lovebird in the kitchen. For Ivan and Ethan, they never know that Xui Li is shameless enough to show their lovey-dovey moment in front of other people.

For Amanda, she feels nausea to see them so close together. She must admit, that she never get that experience when she was together with him. He just simply hold her hand, kiss her and that's it. No more than that. Seeing that he does a lot of things with Xue Mei make her more annoyed.

"Urgh...Hurry up Xui Li. We'll be late to go to the set." Amanda voicing out.

Ivan scrunches his eyebrow and turns to look at his watch. "It just 7:30 AM, his segment is at 10 AM. We can make it there."

"Ivan, we never know if there's a traffic jam or not. So better be early than late, right? We have our reputation to keep." Amanda said firmly.

Xui Li groans a bit. He took one waffle from the plate that Xue Mei put her breakfast and eat it while still hot.

"Hey, it's still hot."

Wink at her, he said. "I still want my dear's breakfast to boost up my energy for today."

He drinks her glass of juice and kisses her cheek. "I'll see you later. Text me and if you wanna go shopping, call Ethan. He'll send you."

"Hmm..okay." She smiles at him. He makes her feel at ease when he says something like that.

At her corner of eyes, she can see Amanda glare at her.

'Hmm, I need to learn from Risa the savage way to make her back away.'

All the past one week, she keeps backfiring Amanda with so much intimate action between her and Xui Li. She feels enjoy burning her with the jealousy and Xui Li also happily to spoil her and pampered her in front of everyone.

Yes, Xui Li is different. He always prioritizes her first and always makes it balance with his busy schedule. Even if he is busy, he did not make her feel like she was abandoned.

Her semester break clash with his busiest moment. Well, if it is for his sake, Xue Mei did not have anything to argue to. She understands he is now no longer a student who always had free time. He already steps into his working world. Of course, time and space will be different this time. His way of thinking also improves to be a mature man. His composure and his figure become more and more mature.

"Darling.." She starts. Both of them is in the open space at the rooftop. Seeing star using an astronomical telescope in his mansion rooftop.

"Hm?"

"Do you have any intention to cheat on me?" She turning her body around and looked up at him.

Looking down to her face, he smiling and kiss her lips lightly. "No. Not in a million years."

"Why'd you ask?"

"Hmm...I feel insecure. You were far from me. Who would knew if you cheat on me..or maybe someone trapping you, climb on your bed without you realize it." She let out her insecurity to him.

"Then, move in here. Stay with me."

She diverts her eyes and turns around. "No..I can't do that." She said.

"Then, trust me. For only two more years. I promise you." He turning her body to face him again.

"Two years..seems so long."

"It won't be long. In the meantime, I will always report my routine to you. If you feel something is not right, come and rescue me. And I'll do the same. Every time I had my break, I will come and visit you. I'll make the distance feel short. I'll make that you always can feel me there with you."
