9 Mei Xiu

On someone's computer.

'Do you like the codes I sent you?' was written on the screen.

A mature-looking woman with a slightly surprised and amused expression sat in front of the computer. There was mirth and amusement vibe radiating from her body. She was staring blankly there. A reflection of the screen was found in her eyes as if the only thing she could see was that.

'I, Fang Mei Xiu, who was known as one of the best hackers, can't lose to an anonymous newbie!' She screamed inside as her fingers were pressing the keyboards with a speed invisible to the naked eyes.

Fang Mei Xiu was one of the top 10 hackers world-wide. Her hacker name was 'Lucifer.' She used to do illegal deeds with her hacking skills which was the reason she was being chased by the government and other forces. She did those missions in an exchange of a huge amount of money.

In the day, she was 21 years old and was also a beautiful top idol going by the name, Li Mei. She started off a singer and now expanding her network as being an actress. The media have titled her as the 'beautiful flower' as she was known to have a kind and lovely personality. Her popularity was remarkably high and her fandom was so big that it's all over the world.

In the night, she was a professional hacker and her personality changed to 180 degrees. She became a foul-mouthed person who couldn't stop spitting out bad words. If her fans knew about it, maybe they would thought that they were seeing things.

After a whole two days, she still couldn't crack the code. She was pissed off and unconsciously some bad words.

"SHIT!"

"FUCK!"

"DAMN IT!"

"I've never lost to anyone before this. I've never heard of this username. Just who the hell is this person?!"

When Mei Xiu wasn't done with her complain, she saw another sentence appearing on her screen.

'I know you, Mei Xiu. Or should I say Li Mei?'

After she read it, her pupils dilated and cold sweat was running down her back.

'How do you know it? What do you want? Money?'

'No, I'm not interested in your money.'

'Then what's your motive?'

'I want to strike a deal with you. Meet me at the Sunbucks café near your location in three days. Your choice.'

Then the screen went black. She tried to fix it but it never worked.

"REALLY?! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE COMPUTER! DAMN! AFTER YOU'RE DONE HACKING, DO YOU NEED TO BREAK MY BELOVED COMPUTER?!" Her scream echoed through the room.

On the other side.

Jiang Yue stretched her body and yawned.

"I missed you, Mei Xiu. This time, I'll protect you and the others." She softly said with a tender tone and closed her eyes.

As a matter of fact, Mei Xiu was one of her comrades and her best friend in her previous life. They have been through some life and death situations together before too.

The next day.

Jiang Yue woke up at 8 am in the morning.

'I feel so refreshed today.' She thought inside.

After she took a bath and prepared herself, she set off without eating breakfast since she couldn't cook. She had tried to cook before and it was so bad that she puked the whole day. Since then, she didn't dare to touch the kitchen again.

She decided to go to the Jiang estate to check up her parents as well as discussing her registration for university. She had been thinking about it for a while and decided to take the major in doctor.

As she arrived there, the servant immediately recognized her car and let her in.

She went in the house and asked a servant which passed by. "Where's mom?"

The servant replied, "Replying to eldest young miss, Madam Jiang is in the library."

She nodded and thanked the servant.

She walked towards the library and knocked on the door. After a second, she heard Madam Jiang's voice, "Come in."

She took a step inside the room and walked towards her mother. As Madam Jiang saw her daughter, her expression turned happy and gentle smile was seen on her face. She asked, "I'm glad you came, honey."

"How can I not? I promised that I would visit my dearest mother often. By the way, is brother home?" Jiang Yue replied.

"He's been pulling all-nighters these couple of days. As his sister, you should persuade him to take care of his health." Madam Jiang sighed.

"Okay, I'll talk to him soon when I visit him." Jiang Yue agreed.

"Do you like your new place, dear?" Madam Jiang asked.

"It seems good. I like it but I need to find a maid to help me clean up and cook. You know what happened the last time I cooked, right?" Jiang Yue grinned.

"How could I forget? It was such a mess before. I'll help you find a good maid later." Madam Jiang laughed for a bit.

"Thank you, mommy. I'm in need of help regarding that anyways. There is also another reason why I came here today." Jiang Yue said.

"What is it?" Madam Jiang asked curiously.

"I want to apply for a university and take the major in doctor. I'm interested in being a doctor as well." Jiang Yue declared.

"Oh, I never knew you were interested in it. Okay, mommy will talk to daddy about it and ask him to apply for you." Madam Jiang suggested.

"Thanks. I love you, mommy." Jiang Yue hugged her.

The next day, a maid hired by Madam Jiang started to work under Jiang Yue. She was satisfied by the maid her mother picked. In the next two days, Jiang Yue visited her mother in the morning and stayed in her place the rest of the day. She did that same routine until the day she was supposed to meet Mei Xiu came.
