Chapter 163 - 163: Still Your Best Friend

Three hours later and many things happened inside of the luxury room, still, Robbe couldn't believe that one of his dreams had finally come true.

As one of the most expensive supercars in the whole country, Sebastian bought one of the cars. He told Greg about all the necessary documents and payment in cash. And the good news, he only had to pay one-fourth of the whole price because of his family's connection.

And until the moment, Robbe stayed outside, roamed around like an idiot, embraced the car as tightly as he imagined having it and he even kissed the windscreen.

It disturbed Andy but he ended up laughing hardly with them. They almost passed out, but Cloud, who just came from the washroom noticed that Sebastian and Daniel suddenly vanished from their sight.

But instead of looking for them, he took another can of soda from the fridge, bowl of popcorn and laid down on the couch as it was his home.

On the rooftop, Sebastian saw Daniel stood straight in the middle of the ground. His hands were on his pocket, staring above up above the sky that was filled with thousands of twinkling stars.

At first, he was hesitant to say even a simple hello to him but in the end, he found himself walking right nigher to Daniel.

"It's too cold outside, then why did you come here all by yourself?" he spoke, took a deep breath when the wind blew up and touched on his skin.

His strong presence didn't surprise him anymore. They were good friends since their first day in high school and Daniel learned his weaknesses and strengths.

"They were too rowdy," he paused, slowly turned his back, and faced Sebastian with coldness in his eyes. "And I want to be alone, away from the people– away from you."

Daniel felt sorry but angry at him. He didn't know where it came from but one thing he was certain about; he was jealous of Halora.

"And I would just be a liar if I'll tell you that I'm not jealous nor mad of you, Sebastian," he added, as his voice filled with bitterness.

But, he tried to control his emotion and shouldn't have felt that way. Daniel felt jealous of something irrational, he thought Sebastian set aside their friendship since he met Halora.

He misunderstood their relationship with each other that caused a big gap between the two of them.

Suddenly, he felt Sebastian's hand on his shoulder. With a big smile on his lips, he tapped it gently as he used to do it every time he felt lonely and broken.

Sebastian gasped and he said, "I know you were thinking that I turned my back on you since I met Halora. But the truth is, she needed me beside her and I know when the right time comes, you will understand how it feels to be eager to save your loved ones who are on the brink of danger and death."

"And I think, this is the perfect moment to talk with you, to clear out things between us b– because I can't see myself detaching from my friends that I treated like my own brothers!"

Those words that came from Sebastian's mouth perfectly entered Daniel's heart. He felt a sudden pang in his chest that helped him realized the truth.

He bowed, tapped Sebastian's shoulder as he did thousands of times. "I know I am a narrow–minded person and I thought she was only an ordinary girl but you ended up liking her."

"You're right...," said Sebastian. He let go of his shoulder, looked right into his eyes, "I don't like her anymore–"

It surprised Daniel but little did he knew, he cut off Sebastian, and he didn't hear the whole thing.

His eyes widened, grabbed his arm angrily, "F*ck you! I thought you'll be a serious boyfriend this time around but how come that you f*cking don't like her any–"

Before he punch him and knock on the floor, Sebastian said, "Because I love her to death, Daniel! I... I d– don't know how! And I've tried so many times not to fall in love with her but the moment Grandpa spoke about her, I knew she is the one."

He knew it was only a secret thing but he trusted Daniel. "And I want you to help me this time of crisis."

Daniel looked at him confusingly. He wanted to ask about one thing, but he looked away, nodded his head in agreement. "And what would it be?"

Finally, after what happened to Halora earlier that bothered him most, Sebastian found the perfect, trustworthy person who has the potential. He knew he would protect himself from anyone.

There was no enough time, if no one else knew the witches' plan tomorrow morning, innocent students will be put in danger and he couldn't bear to see them suffering.

Before he opened his mouth, he stared at Daniel for a couple of minutes. He had to be certain or it would be everyone's worst nightmare.

"I need everyone's help, Daniel. I know it is hard to imagine but... but a horrifying event will occur tomorrow in the morning in the campus!"

"W– what? Is it all about the last gang we encountered in the street?"

It intrigued Daniel and at the same time brought fear to his chest. He knew Sebastian and if it was not an important, urgent thing, he won't ask for anyone's help.

He gulped, turned around to the skyscrapers in front of him and waited for Sebastian's final, frightening answer.

"The witches will beset the entire campus as soon as all classes began! I... don't know how to explain it to you but if you don't want to, I'll be leaving soon and look for someone–"

Daniel saw one of the witches at the school clinic once. There's no need of an explanation because he decided after a second.

As he breathed for fresh air, he looked at his best buddy right into his soul. He saw sincerity in it and he couldn't afford to put anyone in danger.

"You can always count on me because I'm still your bestfriend, Sebastian!" he shortly said that took away the burden he kept from a long time.
