\"Laziness is death!\"

Bang!

A fist was shot out at extreme speed, and the air continued onwards and slammed into the padded wall producing a low rumble.

I've been too inactive recently, with all the studying I've done... Although it is important for the sect to grow. I can't use that as an excuse to fall behind.

The growing danger that exists out in the world won't wait for me to become strong to go against them, I'd be eaten alive before I could scream!

I also can't just learn whatever skill is the strongest, I need to start taking into account what would help me grow even faster...

I need to make myself a training program to follow, in order to get the best results at the best time... How can I be more efficient...

The first problem would be; my attacks.

In order to have a strong, fast, accurate and mana efficient attack I need to choose one that is related to my cultivation series.

If I were to repeatedly use the same skill over and over, however, it would be easily predicted and dodged.

\"A killing move.\"

I mumbled this and shot up and had realization struck me like thunder coursing through my head.

If I were to have a single Martial Skill at the peak of my tier to use as a final move, with smaller mana-requirement skills in lower tiers to use as combination or just regular attacks... This could work!

I currently only had a single move that resonated with my cultivation series.

Tier 1; Shining light. It was a simple, but effective skill that blinded your opponent and disoriented them.

The manual described it as enough light to blind an opponent of Tier 1 for at least 3 seconds if they were unprepared for it.

However, when I had used the light I found the strength of it had at least doubled!

I need to find light related skills, but even though it's called 'Radiant City' there certainly haven't been many Martial Skills related to it.

Staring at the manual of Shining Light, it described the mana-transformation process in great detail. In order to utilize golden elemental mana, you must first transform the regular mana in your body using the process.

The process seemed a bit tricky, but nothing overly complicated... Why couldn't someone just cross-reference two similar skills and create a new one?

Pulling out another manual that had a similar effect of shining light, I carefully skimmed through the process and found many similarities.

After studying through the two of them, I lost track of time and sat looking at how the two martial skills were similar.

Seven‌ hours later...

\"Aha!\"

With a pen in my hand, I had written down a formula that dictated the conversion of regular mana into elemental mana and the properties that would govern it; such as its' weight, force, and even color.

However color was a bit hard to change due to the base color of the element, but we'll forget that.

If I applied this formula with the other characteristics of other martial skills then I should be able to create an entirely new Martial Skill!

I doubt it will work as expected, but if I could really create this skill... I need my killer move to be something powerful.

It's alright if it sucks up all the mana I have in reserve, as long as it destroys whatever I'm fighting.

Alright system, as a tribute to you... I'll name this skill; Golden‌ Dragon Suppression!

I quickly started moving my pen as I wrote out the transformation process on paper. It was actually quite similar to coding in my previous world!

While I was filling out the process on the paper, I felt a slight pressure on my chest, as if someone were trying to push my over.

It wasn't too noticeable as I was writing, but nonetheless something I should be careful about.

40 Minutes later...

'This should do it!\" I bellowed.

As my pen flashed across the paper, I felt something in my chest being sucked out towards the paper!

I scrambled to my feet, but by the time I got up, I didn't feel it anymore...

[Congratulations Host! You have realized your talent in the fabrication of Martial Skills!]

[Each time you create a Martial Skill without proper procedure; the soul will suffer a serious repercussion!]

D*mn you call that a serious repercussion? It didn't even feel like stepping on a lego!

[This is due to the host's unique soul, in the selection process done by the system only hosts with a strong soul could be selected by the Supreme Being.]

[The repercussion for using the procedure the host has done, would normally be death.]

[Without the knowledge of the Great Dao, your soul will be siphoned in exchange for the creation of the skill. Please be careful while creating stronger skills host, as the penalty for higher-tiered Martial Skills rises!]

Hahaha! I knew there was something special about this handsome wizard, my soul is actually so powerful!

This would solve the problems for Martial Skill selection at the sect, but I shouldn't overdo it.

If the system is right, I should be taxed even more if the skill is powerful. The Golden Dragon Suppression is only Tier 5!

For now, I should focus on cultivation to make sure I don't fall behind...

I have thought about it for a while now, but, the most efficient way to cultivate is when your life is on the line.

Sitting inside of your home and circulating mana through your circuits and practicing your skills won't get you anywhere quick!

In order to truly become strong, I need to take the first steps towards raising my combat experience as well as my overall cultivation tier.

This Handsome wizard is going to go camping!

I quickly rushed out from the padded room I was in, towards where Yves was staying.

I nearly forgot to knock on the door from my excitement...

Knock, knock...

I heard a light yelp, and a rustling of clothes as I heard her rush to the door.

Yves: \"Master! What could this one do for you?\"

\"Yves I am preparing to leave the Sect for a time on very important business. In the time I am gone you will be expected to uphold the morales and face of the Sect as a whole. Are you capable of this?\"

I unconsciously talked in a slightly more familiar tone with her.

Her eyes flashed and she replied:

\"This one understands and will uphold the Sect and guard it against the strongest of foes!\"

She sounded a bit silly as she said it, but her face spared no amusement.

It was a bit of an absentminded spur of the moment decision, but it should be fine with the alarm system in place.

If an intruder were to barge into the sect I would be alerted and immediately return. Although Yves is already Tier 7 she is still quite naive and has next to zero combat experience...

I looked at her again, and her cheeks were puffed out like a squirrel with a paladin's stalwart pose.

I nearly let out a laugh but held it in.

\"If anything were to go wrong, I will return immediately. I will be traveling into the Northern Wilderness. I am placing a lot of trust in you in order to keep everything safe while I am gone. If you have any problems you can count on Phorbes to help you with it.\"

I continued to ramble on, I was actually becoming quite fond of Yves at this point. She was becoming more and more like a younger sister or a daughter that I would dote on and want to protect.

After my ramblings, she was still attempting to look impressive, and imposing and said:

\"Ha! Leave it to me, Master! This one will surely keep in line with your goals!\"

After a few more words I left and quickly flew out of the sect above the walls which led me to a bit of daydreaming about how the system should offer some sort of sky net to catch intruders...

While I was in the air I looked down and saw the ground below me slowly fading away as I rose above the clouds...

Hehe, I'm getting a bit carried away... I haven't actually done anything like this for fun at all. I've been constantly worried and on edge ever since I came here...

As I rose above the clouds, I saw the sun materialize into view.

My breath was lost as I witnessed a scene I would never forget:

Rolling white seas of clouds with the light blue above it... Almost as if it were a picture of the sea turned upside down on a cloudy day.

Except... The sun was staring at me blindingly from the blue sky as I soared towards the Northern Wilderness.
