184 Mr. Benson

Will needed to take around a minute to finally come back to his senses before getting out of the car.

His breathing was still heavy, and his heart felt as if it were pounding out of his chest.

Never had he expected that Liz would be this bold.

During that minute, he had only been able to watch as Liz's hips swayed as she walked into the restaurant.

Literally drooling at his mouth, Will had actually felt embarrassed, unable to believe that he had engaged in such an…uncouth activity.

He couldn't help it! His girlfriend was just…too damn hot!

At the end of that minute, he had decided one thing:

No matter how much it cost, he was going to make the MOST special plan in order to consummate their relationship.

Yes, he really had disappointed his girlfriend, and he was going to make it up to her in a way that would definitely leave her…breathless.

Looking down and noticing his pants which were swollen due to a little something that seemed to be berating him too for disappointing it, Will had to use his jacket to cover that part.

Dammit! When had Liz become such a vixen! Wasn't she hesitant and awkward before?

Well, in this matter, he had certainly misjudged, and he even cursed himself for that.

And he had to admit that he quite liked it.

No, he loved it.

Running forward to catch up to Liz on the red carpet that was at the entrance of the restaurant, Will unabashedly pinched her bottom that had looked so tantalizingly enticing when she had been walking away.

Liz raised her eyebrows with surprise, but when he leaned close to her ear and gave his reply, she couldn't help but blush.

"I'm so sorry I disappointed you, Miss. Girlfriend. Mark my words, it is definitely going to be special-so special that it'll blow your mind. You left me speechless now. We will see who leaves who speechless then."

As Liz looked down while biting her lip, Will spoke to the waiting person who was in charge of admitting people to the restaurant.

"Reservation for two, under the name of William-"

"Bradshaw! I wasn't expecting to see you here!"

Hearing himself interrupted like so, Will turned around to see who it was, and when he did, Liz noticed the mini-frown that flashed across his face for a brief second.

It was gone in a split second, but she had managed to catch it.

Focusing her eyes on who had called out to Will, she saw that it was a tall, handsome man with grey hair.

His face was rugged, with a salt and pepper beard that served to accentuate his ruggedness.

At his arms was a stunning woman, who seemed to have walked right out of a fashion magazine.

Her long, blonde hair reached the small of her back, and her delicate yet exquisite features would make anyone stare.

She was wearing a very low pink dress that exposed over half of her ample bosom, and the dress fit her perfectly, highlighting all of her curves.

As Liz was taking in their figures, she saw something she didn't like at all.

When the woman looked at Will, she batted her eyelashes and bit her lip, as if she were looking at a tasty morsel that she wanted to eat up.

"Mr. Benson. I didn't expect to see you here. How have you been?"

Will spoke in a neutral voice, and while Liz watched, the woman leaned towards the man's ear and whispered something.

They were quite close, so Liz could guess what she was saying.

She had mouthed the words "Does he-", before the man spoke to reply to both her and Will.

"No, darling. William here isn't in that circle yet. Give him some time. I'm pretty sure he will eventually get there. Yes, William, this was an impromptu plan. Why don't you join us?"

"I don't-"

Will was going to reject the offer, but the man interrupted him again.

"Oh, you shouldn't say no to an old friend of your father's. I practically watched you grow up! This will be an excellent chance to catch up, and find out all about your newest relationship. She certainly is stunning, I have to give you that."

For some reason, when Liz heard the compliment, she felt dirty, almost as if someone had thrown mud on her.

It was so inexplicable that she couldn't explain it, but she still smiled demurely, which made the man say, "Nothing sweeter than an innocent maiden's smile. Now then, shall we go?"

Sighing, Will turned to Liz, and she understood that he was asking if it was Ok.

Liz actually found this quite sweet, as taking decisions together, according to her, was one of the most important parts of a relationship.

As she gave a slight nod, Will was about to speak, but for a third time, the man interrupted him again.

By now, Will was quite irritated, which Liz could tell from the way he was holding her hand more tightly than normal, even though he must be doing it unconsciously.

"The maiden has agreed! No more qualms, right? Waiter, direct us to your private room."

As Mr. Benson said this, the waiter who was standing in front of the podium and taking care of seating people smiled embarrassedly.

"I'm sorry sir, but it is occupied. Neither of you had made a reservation for that room."

"Yes, but that was because we thought we would be dining alone. Plans change. Have them leave."

Sputtering, the waiter said, "B-but sir-"

"Just tell them Benson wants them to move their dinner outside. Go."

As he spoke in a tone which brooked no arguments, the waiter nodded after a moment and went inside.

Will was slightly shaking his head, as if he detested the fact that the man was making a scene. Honestly, Liz agreed.

A few moments later, a portly man came out of the door.

"Mr. Benson! So sorry you had to wait! If I had known, I would have moved out instantly! You can go in now, sir."

"Mr. Mayor. Glad to hear that. That city project you wanted-you can come talk to me about it tomorrow. Good night."

"Thank you so much, sir! I certainly will!"

As the portly man delightedly clasped his own hands, Liz was watching everything with a bemused expression on her face.

Was this real?

Just when they were going to go inside, the woman on Mr. Benson's arm who had been called Melissa pointed inside at a tall, well built dark-skinned man before saying something very strange.

"Darling, can I have him instead?"

"Of course, dear. Let's go inside first."

Hearing this conversation, Liz had to admit that she was very, very puzzled.

What the heck had the woman meant?
