Chapter 125 - The diablo empire only has exhibitionists (part 1)

It's not as if Oji Adowa was excited about the whole situation either, but his "fiancé", Major Lutalo, asked him to come and console the poor and lonely Prince Mu. Despite all the opposition the duke made and the waste of time that was all, in the end, the simple insinuation was enough:

"Dear Duke, do you feel something special for General Gyasi?" Major Lutalo asked with an amused look and a very happy smile as if he had discovered a delicious secret to gossip, simply hateful.

"What nonsense are you talking about! I am loyal to Emperor Ade!" Oji countered with indignation. This was practically betrayal.

"Then be good and go console poor lonely Prince Mu" Major Lutalo insisted excitedly.

"How can I help, I'm not his friend..." Oji Adowa had a point here, he was more like a person not grateful to Mu Liang, after all, the prince got hurt because of him.

"I invited him and Prince Gyasi to our engagement party, it would be weird if you two couldn't even exchange happy greetings" Major Lutalo insists too much on this point.

"Now that I think about it. Marshal Iyasu hasn't acted strangely since the first terrorist attack in the inner garden, even when there were incidents as scandalous as that, he didn't seem involved... We can't finish the mission now and just arrest Marshal Iyasu for the crime of terrorism in the case of the inner garden of the palace?"

Oji spoke nervously and barely stopped for breathing, of course, the end of the mission was hinting at the end of the engagement as well, which made the Major's face change to a serious expression and a military aura that for the first time made Oji feel pressured, but now it just made him nervous in a way that also made him strangely excited.

"I see I have left my fiance very lonely," Major Lutalo said after pulling Oji into his embrace, the duke offered so little resistance that it was strange until he hadn't even verbally protested.

"It's a fake engagement..." Oji finally protested only to be kissed so fiercely that he was paralyzed for a second in surprise, before succ.u.mbing to the p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and hugging the major back.

Major Lutalo's sharp tongue was very adept at making the duke submit and go with p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, but just as things were going the way Oji and Lutalo would play in the office, the Major's communicator rang an important call of the Army.

Major Lutalo quickly left the duke and returned to his duties, with things as hectic as they were, he himself had no time to check on his fake fiancé, which was quite irritating, enough for him to wish the engagement was real.

"Remember to visit Prince Mu today, give him this gift to cheer him up a little," Major Lutalo said tossing a box wrapped in beautiful glossy white paper and a delicate red ribbon. Major Lutalo's insistence on the gift made Duke Adowa suspicious of his intentions, but not enough to refuse to deliver these gifts.

Oji Adowa threw himself on the couch in frustration, he really should end this engagement, the longer he was away from Major Lutalo the more he wanted the man to be physically beside him and touch him until he made a wet mess of him.

So Duke Adowa arrived frustrated and went to visit Prince Mu, of course, this was all said as an apology for what happened last month, he politely sent the request to visit and received a quick and positive response, which left the Duke surprised.

Chen Qian clearly did not approve of such a meeting, but Chong Ji thought it imperative that Prince Mu make friends with the nobles of the Diablo Empire, and she had already sent invitations to Bukola Hova, Urenna Tendai, and Bomari Estrondo for them to come to dinner or snack time.

Of course, these meetings would take place after Mu Liang met Gyasi's parents, which would happen soon, provided the military general had time to breathe.

There were cameras on and server robots, so Chong Ji and Chen Qian left the dining room so they could dine alone and talk, this was to not embarrass Duke Adowa, after all, it was a different thing to apologize to Prince Mu directly and having an audience watching everything especially if they were Prince Mu's allies, it would all seem even more humiliating.

"I have a question, Duke Adowa, if I may…" Mu Liang began to speak, breaking the awkward silence.

"You can ask, Prince Mu," Oji said relieved that the other party had said something, it would be strange to keep the dinner silent all the time.

"Did the duke like Prince Gyasi?" Mu Liang asked curiously, he knew that Duke Adowa was engaged to Major Lutalo, but he still felt that there was something wrong in their animosity at the first meeting.

"Why is everyone asking the same question?!" Oji grunted indignantly when he showed affection for Prince Gyasi? Would he be crazy to want to lose the duchy because of an impossible "love"?

It should be remembered that princes cannot marry the heirs of noble titles to have no control over the nobles, in addition to generating even more potential heirs to compete to be the crown prince.

Saying this just in jest a while ago would have cost Oji the duchy, so he was mortified and irritated by this foolish questioning.

"What?" Mu Liang didn't understand the duke's growl and blinked his eyes in confusion at the indignation that appeared on his face.

"No, Prince Mu, I don't like Prince Gyasi" Oji Adowa said taking a deep breath and calming his irritation. He understood that Prince Mu was not questioning him out of malice or to provoke him, as he was not supposed to have knowledge of the law of the empire.

So Duke Adowa succinctly explained the impossibility that Prince Gyasi and he could even remotely fall in love and be together, it made Prince Mu feel better and he even found the Duke more agreeable.

Of course, the reason for the sudden attack on Mu Liang, besides probing the power of the other, was to provoke the other party to feel humiliated and because of Prince Mu's previous fame, he would make a scandal in front of the emperor, which would make a lot to see the marriage of Gyasi and Mu Liang with bad eyes.

What did Duke Adowa gain from this?

Nothing, but as Marshal Iyasu made it look like he would be helping Emperor Ade, the duke agreed, moreover, that kind of action wouldn't hurt anyone. Until Duke Adowa saw that Prince Mu had passed out for two days, the plan seemed to have gotten out of hand.

The two after getting this out of the way seemed very excited and even had a pleasant conversation, the dinner atmosphere was not bad and the two arranged another meeting for the future.

The only reason Duke Adowa was able to dine with Prince Mu before meeting Gyasi's parents, breaking polite protocol, was because of last month's accident.

Now Prince Mu had to talk to Gyasi and arrange a meeting with his future in-laws.

"What will be the gift the duke left me?" Mu Liang wondered already alone in the room with the wrapped box, of course, Chen Qian had already checked the box and looked strangely at Prince Mu, then she felt sorry for him and patted the prince on the shoulder as if she were consoling him.

Of course, Mu Liang didn't understand what made him even more curious about the gift, but Chen Qian didn't show what was inside the box. She said he should open the gift in the bedroom where he would have more privacy.

Unfortunately, when he planned to go to his room his wrist communicator rang, he thought excitedly that it might be Gyasi, it had been two days since they had video calls and only communicated by voice messages.

However, to Mu Liang's surprise, it was Emery who had called for him, since the arrest incident, that Mu Liang learned a few days later from Lieutenant Colonel Dinari Igwe when he came to check that all was well and once again check the imperial guards guarding Gyasi's palace.

When Bae Dong questioned the reason for such precaution and if there had been an invasion of a palace or something like that, he received the news of what had happened to Emery, so Prince Gyasi was worried that the same was happening in his own palace.

Anyway, Mu Liang went on to make daily video calls to Emery to find out if he was okay and if no one had bullied him. Unlike him, Emery didn't have people to trust in the emperor's palace, so Mu Liang felt he had to be that trusted person for Emery.

"Hello Emery, did something happen? You don't usually call me after dinner" Mu Liang asked curiously seeing Emery's pretty face with a strange shade of pink.

"Mu Liang, did you know that these bastard zergs have statues of themselves n.a.k.e.d?!" Emery looked agitated and was a little slow to speak, his midnight blue eyes sparkled beautifully.

"Emery, are you drunk?" Mu Liang asked with some concern, after all, a being mighty like a dragon was out of control now.

"I'm pretty sober, I just drank a little... I feel so weird Mu Liang, there are other omegas around Ade, he even has a childhood friend he should have married... I hate everything this... I should leave this exhibitionist bastard! I found a statue of him n.a.k.e.d in the garden... In the garden! Even his p.e.n.i.s was just the right size!"
