Chapter 444 - Small Victory

Several limbs of the Space Beast dropped to the ground that it shake the ground…

It created a huge impact as the ground vibrated. 

Ace saw that the Lotus's Radiant Mech Knights managed to cut the Space Beast's limbs as expected!

Though it took three Mech Knights to cut a single limb… This is still a huge success.

"Graahh!" The space beast cried in pain or perhaps, anger but the Mech Knights were able to dodge its attacks.

Their float drive system has been improved about five times already and it has probably reached its peak at this point. 

"Good… Just continue pressuring it! We have to wait until we gather enough Lamat Stones…"

"Yes, Sir!" 

His fellow magicians answered as they fought bravely in front of the space beast.

"Avalon, ready my Mech Knight."

[ Affirmative. ]

Ace then left the bridge to Avalon. The A.I. should be able to at least keep their Chronos safe.

They have limited spaceships at the moment and they can't allow the beast to destroy even one of them. 

Clank! Clank! Clank!

The airtight bulkheads opened for Ace as he arrived at the hanger where his Mech Knight is. He's not a very strong magician but he can say that he's one of the best pilots on this planet. 

After all, he received years of experience piloting them and was even taught in his class before. 

Aside from that, he's well aware of how to fully maximize Avalon's potential when he's in battle. 

It didn't take long before he arrived in front of a black and red Mech Frame or perhaps, Mech Knight…

This humanoid machine with over 9 meters in height and about 30 metric tons in weight exude a very dangerous aura.

Instead of using his MN Reactor or Molten Core for this Mech, he is actually using a modified version of Zamphail's Reactor that is being used by the Iron Knights. 

The reason for this is simple, it is because the Reactor itself was designed by Aeolia… It perfectly utilizes the Mana around the world as its energy. 

Apparently, the Iron Knights were only considered weak because of the machine or their equipment being used. Maybe because Aeolia doesn't have a lot of resources that was why the design of the Iron Knights has to be at the limit of the planet's current technology.

Thud! Thud!

The Mech Knight kneeled as the ċȯċkpit opened to let him pilot it.

This machine is equipped with an Integrated Float Drive System, a Super Mesospheric Altitude Gun, Radiant Wave Tech, a couple of Six Gen Mana Artifact in a form of Armor, and an active Seventh Gen Mana Artifact or Sentient Mana on its arm…

Though it is still impossible to fight a Terub in a one versus one fight, it could still be capable of lasting for an hour or perhaps even escaping if needed.

[ All system ready. ] 

[ Catapult Clear. ]

"Ace, Black Radiance, Launching out!"

As soon as he said this, his path to the Space Beast created a black smoke catching everyone's attention… 

However, this is not meant for decoration but it is due to the byproduct from the two types of energy working together.

Avalon then showed on his screen the circle where the Space Beast should stay at. 

"I understand… Let's do our best."

Ace said as he used his Altitude Gun in a closer range to target one of the twelve eyes of the beast… 

This beast is truly impressive as it is capable of adapting to any environment it was placed. Instead of being killed by the sudden introduction of mana, it managed to evolve its body and even learned how to use it for its convenience. 

It is a terrifying ability and it suited its name as a Space Beast.

Boom!

Ace successfully hit one of its eyes but the beast didn't falter and it even get angrier! It can be healed in a matter of seconds anyway.

"Graaahh!!"

Ace didn't dodge and trusted the other Radiant Knights to cut the limbs off for him. He's planning to attack again…

The battle continued for four minutes as they did their best to suppress the huge beast… The ground soldiers together with the Lucent Force ȧssigned to the capital used everything they got just to ensure that the beast will not move from its place.

"We're ready!"

Finally, Ace heard Grand Sage Maze's words. They can finally cut off the beast's supply of mana… 

"Great! Please activate it in my signal!" Ace said to the Grand Sage… He was obviously relieved that they can finally do this.

He didn't have much interaction with Maze but he remembers that she's the master of the Sages that have died together with the space shuttle they've sent prior to his Spaceship Launch. 

Nevertheless, he knows that she's a capable Array specialist since she's the only Grand Sage who has an Original Mage Tower…

"Activate it now!"

As soon as he said this, the array made of Lamat Stones activated as the giant Space Beast started weakening…

This is the greatest problem of a beast who had fully resigned its fate to Mana!

Thirty seconds… It then turned a minute… Two minutes… Four minutes… 

As soon as it reached eight minutes, everyone confirmed using their sensors that the beast has lost its life!

"We won!" 

Grand Sage Maze shouted as everyone cheered the death of the gigantic Space Beast.
