Chapter 408 - Another Day

At last, the Celestial Being finally decided to come out. 

"Show me his location now..." Ace ordered. He's hoping that the Celestial would follow Wallace's traces. 

At this time, he was still unsure how Wallace and that Celestial are communicating with each other. He wasn't even aware of their deal, nevertheless, he knows that this being would be helping Wallace if he learned his situation.

[ Affirmative. ]

The A.I. immediately controlled one of the monitors at the command center and showed the Celestial's position using their satellite.

Escanor and the others who had never seen the Celestial before gasped in surprise.

The being is probably even more mysterious than the aliens that have arrived here to conquer their planet. They are seeing it floating above the sea and it does have a figure of a human but it doesn't have an appearance close to a living being!

It is just a form of blue energy and for sure, it wouldn't have any gender.

Based on the reports, it talks through the mind of people which is not surprising. The Celestial doesn't seem to have any vocal cords after all.

"So, that's a Celestial, huh…"

"I read that they killed tons of our greatest Magicians before."

"Do you think we can contact him or her or whatever that being is?"

"Haha… Good luck with that… Wait, look at the sea!"

One of the staff noticed something unusual below the Celestial. With their satellite vision, they could easily see the anomaly.

Apparently, there are several huge shadows below him! If they looked at it closely, they could easily tell that they are moving!

"This…"

"What kind of creatures are those?!"

"Deep Sea Creatures?!"

"No, those sea creatures that I've found written in a book weren't this big! They were only a little big bigger than humans… But those shadows are the size of a mountain! There's no way they are similar!"

Escanor immediately added.`

"Avalon, what are those?" Ace asked. 

[ No matches found. ]

[ Our knowledge about this planet's sea is limited. Even Veda barely has any records about the creatures living underwater. ] 

Ace can only give up since Veda's information network around the world is the best among others. Since even the A.I. wasn't aware of this, there was no way for him to find it out so easily.

Anyway, Ace was about to instruct Avalon to track the movement of the Celestial from now on.

However, they noticed that the Celestial was actually looking above! 

He's looking at the Satellite Camera to be exact!

"Cancel the tracking!" He shouted. He had a bad feeling about the situation. Unfortunately, before Avalon could turn it off, a problem occurred on the Stellite Camera.

Bzzzt!

The monitors turned blurry before becoming completely black… Nevertheless, Avalon quickly acted and rebooted the Camera.

They lost the Celestial!

"What happened?"

[ An unknown Energy disrupted our satellite. We can no longer detect the Celestial Being. ] Avalon answered after scanning the surrounding area again.

"Haa~ That's fine. Let's not look for the Celestial again. Consider it as his warning."

[ Affirmative. ] 

He doesn't want to anger the Celestial so he decided to just let him be. As for Wallace, he can't do much either and could only hope that the Being would rescue him.

A day had passed after the start of the war against the aliens.

There have been so many deaths in the countries where the Meredith Empire's forces landed, especially in Montego. 

If not for the reinforcements from the allied nations, they would've probably collapsed by now. As a matter of fact, there's already a mass migration happening as they decided to hide on some secluded islands. 

However, most of them have decided to go to the mainland to seek refuge from the remaining powerful nations.

Now that their strongest Magician, Julian Esmeria, has perished, they were unsure about the future of the country. 

"Is there any news about Wallace?" Charles asked the council of war. Both the aliens and their nations are recuperating from the previous clash so they finally have the time to conduct another meeting.

Well, this is probably good news for the imperial soldiers as well since they could peacefully mine the memory crystal that they've occupied.

"We didn't hear anything from Avalon. I also tried contacting Ace but he couldn't give a definite answer at the moment. Anyway, they have a mysterious connection with each other and he feels that Wallace isn't dead yet. I think we shouldn't worry about him for now." Yumi reported her investigation.

"I see… I just hope that he can still return safely."

"He should. Let's just believe in him. For now, we will discuss the recent activity of Seiji Alliance and the Secret Art that the late Julian Esmeria used to fight against the Khrusams." Charles Mavis said as he looked at the members of the council.

They all nodded after hearing it since this topic is very important for them.

Aside from Charles, all the members of the council are communicating using a hologram as they are in different facilities. 

Some of them are even injured so the old man couldn't force them to visit the headquarters to discuss this in person.

[ We have confirmed that Seiji Alliance gathered their forces and were now planning to attack the Republic of Maja. ] 

Avalon reported.

In the meantime, Ace watches the Chronos approach the five Conqueror Starsh.i.p.s.

At the moment, they can see that the unmoving starsh.i.p.s have several thousands of android builders fixing the external part of the Starsh.i.p.s.

He couldn't blame them for that. 

They have no idea or information about the existence of Sealed Mana Artifacts or Celestial Beings and the things that they can do.

"Hmm… With these five starsh.i.p.s, how many Khrusams do you think they have there?" Ace asked Avalon.

[ There should be more than 2,500 Khrusams if we compare it to the Conqueror Starship which landed at Kazan. ] 

"That many, huh… They have to be decisive in their first attack then." Ace muttered. 

He is referring to the surprise attack that the Chronos would do in a few more hours.
