Chapter 42 - The Past Repeated?

Barry pulled apart the rubble that rested on Nora and took her into his arms.

"That man, he called you Allen. What's your name" Nora asked and coughed violently again.

"Just take a little rest. I'll get you to a hospital now!" Barry said and lifted her up with care.

"Cough... Cough... Eve if you managed to get me there in a sec. I've lost too much blood and can't hang on for much longer. So just fill a dying woman's request and watch over my son for me"

Barry removed his mask before he shakily said,

" Mom, it's Barry, your son! "

" Barry? But how's that possible?" she said having a mix of surprise and doubt on her face.

" I'm your son, from the future. I didn't manage to save you, again. If only I was a little faster. I might have been able to stop Wells and save you"

Nora's face grew a little pale as she said," You did all you could, Barry. You didn't disappoint me... cough... you turned out better than I expected, you became the hero you dreamed to be." she coughed violently, spewing blood from her mouth before she immediately continued, " Remember as I used to tell you, It's better to have a good heart than fast legs. Thank you... Barry", she said as her body grew limp, the little bit of color left fading from her eyes.

Tears streamed down Barry's face as he held the limp body tight. After a while, he stood up and cleaned the tears on his face before lightening started moving around his body like crazy. He went over to wells and grabbed him by the neck. Tapping into the speed force, he dashed off, increasing his speed every nanosecond. A space-time portal appeared in front of him after a few seconds, he sped through.

Opening his eyes, he saw Poison Ivy throwing her vines at Oliver who was dodging while returning fire occasionally. He ferociously threw Wells to the side.

*SWIISH* *BOOM* A fist crackling in lightning hit Ivy's face, detaching her from her plants. Barry roared, letting off sparks of electricity continuously. Off in mid air, he gripped Ivy by the neck and slammed her down, creating a trench as her body slid off along the ground.

Then he menacingly looked at Lobo who was dunking it out with Superman. He dashed towards them immediately.

"If you guys hadn't shown up in the first place, I might have been able to stop Wells before he recharged", Barry thundered out as he struck Lobo on his chin, without giving him time to recovered, he rushed him a barrage of lightning infused fists. He bent down and sent a kick towards Lobo's head, sending him flying upwards.

Still using the speed force to his advantage, thunder clouds formed out of nowhere. From the thunder clouds, a thin screech sounded out, quickly following it, a fast sharp bolt of lightning struck Lobo sending him into the ground, leaving a huge crater in that area.

"Woah!" Jordan exclaimed while Clark looked at Barry for a while.

"Breathe, Breathe Barry" he mumbled to himself as he tried to dispel the anger that seemed to have taken control of him.
