Chapter 24 - RECRUITMENT

"Bruce?!!", he exclaimed.

"You know me?",Bruce asked.

"Of course, Bruce Wayne, successful Businessman, multi-billionaire", he replied, careful not to reveal his secret identity.

"Great..... I think. Anyway, I need to speak with you, something.... uhm.... urgent", he said.

"No problem", Barry replied.

"Ahem... In Private??", he said as his eyes travelled towards Caitlin.

"I'm gonna leave now",Caitlin said awkwardly, "I'll see you later honey".

"Come", Bruce said and led him towards an empty parking lot.

He pressed a button on a key and then couple of lights lit up as a black Chevrolet came into view. It was sparkling, it had the design of a sports car and was giving the feel of a new car.

"Get in", Bruce said.

They both got into the car and Bruce drives away. The Car keeps zooming past a number of cars.

During the drive, Barty took the initiative and asked, "How did you know me. And where are you taking me and why?"

"I'll explain all that's needed when we get to our destination,"he replied and said no more.

"You're quite the weird one. You came with me willingly and showed no sign of fear when I kept driving", Bruce said as he got out of the car.

"I'm quite used to this kind of situations...you...you know me quite well, don't you?", Barry asked.

"You could say so.... I did my homework. Come with me", he said, then he led Barry deeper into the cave. There were a lot of high tech materials, from mechas to guns to armors lying around.

(He's living quite the life. But I wonder why he needs me. A justice league emergency?, that's most likely? )

As he kept walking, he saw a woman with long flowing raven hair and black eyes. She looks quite busty and curvy. She was wearing a shirt and tight jeans which further brought out her figure.

"He's the one?", she asked, walking towards them.

"Yeah",Bruce replied.

"Have you told him?",she answered.

"Figured I'll come see you, then we start.", Bruce said as he powered up a computer which brought up and video.

"This person you saw in the video, we address him as "Darkseid".He is a weapon of mass destruction, causing terror and wreaking havoc wherever he goes. I tried to take him down on my own, but that seems futile", Bruce said.

"Our strength is not on par with his.... for now. We need capable people who can help bring him down. We did our research and found out that the Flash could help us.", Diana said.

"So, you want me on your side against Darkseid?", Barry asked.

"Pretty much what I just said. Don't worry your identity won't be exposed.",she replied.

"Gimme a day. I gotta ensure the well-being of central city", he said.

"That's fine... Oh...sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I'm Diana...pleased to meet you", she said and extended her hand for an handshake.

"Barry Allen",he replied and shakes her.

"I'll be going now", he said.

"You don't need a ride back home?",Bruce asked.

"Thanks but I can handle myself", he replied

"Diana, contact the rest of the team, we regroup here tomorrow"

"Alright"

STAR CITY....

"Good to see you again Barry... how long's it been?",Oliver said reaching out to hug him.

"Didn't count by the years... hehehe... great to see you again", he relied hugging him.

"I've added a few more upgrades to the... Oh! Barry?!",a lady with snow white hair and nerdy glasses dressed in casuals suddenly had her look brightened as she saw Barry.

"You didn't even inform me you were coming. We could have planned some fun things to do while you're here", she continued.

"I'm not gonna be staying Felicity. I just had something I wanted to discuss with Oliver",Barry said walking up to her.

"I knew it. You never spend time here and now that you're here, you're leaving early",she said pouting her lips.

"I've been busy a lot these days. But I promise I'll make more time to visit you in the future.",he said and hugged her.

She blushed a little then asked, "How's Cisco and Cait?"

"They're doing just fine. They'd be glad to see you too"

Oliver suddenly stood up and said, "Enough reminiscing, It's time for business",then he beckoned Barry to come over.

"Right"

"I have something urgent I have to do, I'll be leaving Central City for. sometime. I believe there's a group of people working behind the shadows. They attacked Caitlin once, I don't know what their real intentions are but I'm sure it can't be good... "

"Ok, I'll see what I can do. I'll try best to protect Caitlin too, you don't have to worry. Just do what you have to do", he said.

"Thanks pal. You've always been a good friend",Barry said

"Aye, stop sweet talking me. Get out"

"Hehe, see you soon, Oliver"
