Chapter 29 - Queen

In a small room, a girl was squatting in a corner of the room while looking at the strange circle that appeared in the room.

She didn't know how it happened but a strange circle appeared in the middle of her room, but the strangest thing was the intense glow that emanated from it.

She was used to the beings that appeared through the mirrors around her, so she had no mirror in her room, but something like that strange circle had never appeared.

Looking at the circle, fear became evident in her eyes. Clenching her fists tightly, the girl gathered courage and moved slowly to the center of the room to examine the strange circle.

The circle was not too big but due to the size of the room, it occupied almost all the space of the room, leaving only the free corners.

But that was not what caught the girl's attention. What caught her attention most were the strange patterns that formed the circle, the girl felt that she had already seen it but was not able to remember where.

While examining the circle, the brightness of the circle became even more intense.

Moving quickly to the corner of the room, she picked up a lamp from a table near her and held it with her trembling hands.

"Whatever you are, I'm not afraid of you!" Tsubaki shouted, pointing the lamp toward the magic circle, taking a threatening stance while trying to stay as calm as possible, but her trembling legs betrayed her words.

The brightness of the circle intensified and a flash filled the entire room and if it were not because the room had no windows, the brightness would have reached the outside.

"Are you the person who invoked me?" Sona asked as she examined Tsubaki from head to toe.

"Q ... Who are you ..?" Tsubaki asked with a shaky voice.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Sona Sitri and I am a devil from the Sitri clan" Sona introduced herself with a smile.

Looking at the strange girl who had appeared in her room, Tsubaki increased the force with which she grabbed the lamp and looked at Sona more cautiously.

"What do you want and what do you do in my room?" Raising the lamp, Tsubaki asked cautiously. She had already heard from some elders of the clan about the devils, but this was the first time she had seen one personally.

"Don't panic, keep calm" Tsubaki muttered trying to maintain composure. Although she was quite scared, she didn't know if it was because of Sona's appearance, she didn't feel so intimidated but still, she didn't let her guard down.

"You should know. You are the one who invoked me" Sona replied with a friendly smile.

"I ... I haven't invoked you ... You were the one who appeared in my room "

"Hmm ..." Sona looked at Tsubaki carefully to know if she lied.

'Strange' Sona thought as she continued to examine the room.

When she tried to find candidates for her peerage, coincidentally Linet discovered Tsubaki's existence and informed Sona.

A member of the Shinra clan who, due to her strange abilities, was isolated by the members of her clan.

Upon hearing this, Sona thought about trying to reach Tsubaki but because she was a member of the Shinra Clan, she didn't know how to do it so she wanted to come up with a way to get to Tsubaki.

"I don't want anything, but what do you want?" Sona asked as she looked at Tsubaki.

"So-tan is taking too long," Serafall said as she continued to touch the table with the fingertips.

"Calm down, I don't think it takes too long." Trying to reassure Serafall, Leo shook his head, getting rid of the ice chunks in his hair.

Looking at Leo, Serafall tried to calm down.

'Trust Sona, I'm sure she'll be fine' Serafall tried to convince herself. Although she wanted to run to where Sona was, she had to contain herself, this was something Sona had to do alone.

Breathing deeply, Serafall looked at the small magic circle in her hand and sighed in relief.

"If you keep looking at it so intensely, it will end up activating," Leo said when he saw Serafall's actions.

* Crack

The ice spread across the table creating small cracks on the surface of the table.

Noticing Serafall's attitude, Leo could only sigh.

'Well, she has already contained more than I expected' Leo thought to himself.

"You don't have to worry, I'm sure Sona will be able to take care of herself. She is your sister so you should trust her more. She has worked hard as the heiress of the Sitri clan so trust her." Leo said at the same time that he was breaking the ice sheet around his body.

"Mn" Serafall nodded.

"After Sona arrives, I think it's time for me to go home." Feeling the heavy atmosphere Leo decided to change the subject of the conversation before Serafall froze the entire patio.

"Ah" She exclaimed surprised.

"What surprises you so much?" Leo asked curiously.

"You had insisted so much on coming to the underworld so I thought you would want to stay longer," Serafall replied.

"Well, I don't plan on leaving so fast. I will surely go next week." As he still had to meet with Akeno and Rias next week, he couldn't leave before.

"How bad you are Leo-chan. You use me and then you leave." Serafall looked at Leo with a grievance.

"You're not the right person to say that." Leo rolled his eyes.

"Hehehe" Serafall smiled awkwardly.

The duo continued their conversation while they waited for Sona's arrival. Serafall was quite interested in discovering the reason why Leo was going to leave so she tries to find out the reason for his decision, at the same time, Leo kept dodging the issue.

After a while, a magic circle appeared in the center of the courtyard.

Accompanied by a flash, Sona appeared in the patio.

"Sorry for the delay," Sona said with a smile.

The duo looked at Sona's position, exactly at the girl who accompanied Sona.

A girl with straight black hair that reached her waist and a dark blue dress that reached her knee. But what most caught the attention of the duo were her heterochromatic eyes, her left eye was violet eye and her light brown right eye.

Noticing the duo's gaze, Sona stepped forward.

"She is Tsubaki, my queen" Sona introduced Tsubaki to the duo with a radiant smile.

"Ohya?" Rising, Serafall trotted towards Tsubaki. Stopping in front of her, Serafall inspected her from head to toe.

"Mn" Nodding satisfied, Serafall looked at Sona.

"You got a good queen. Well done," she said as she stroked Sona's head.

"Nee-san!" Sona replied to Serafall's action but still, she did nothing to stop her.

"Sona ..." Tsubaki said with an almost inaudible voice.

Taken out of her stupor by Tsubaki, Sona quickly regained her composure.

"Sorry for the delay Tsubaki, she is Serafall my sister, and the person who is sitting there is Leo, a friend" Sona pointed to the duo successively.

"Nice to meet you," Tsubaki said as she bowed slightly.
