Chapter 28 - Questions

The next day after his visit to the Gremory mansion, Leo continued his daily routine.

Walking through the mansion, Leo decided to look for Sona who was behaving strangely since yesterday.

When he reached the courtyard of Sona, he stopped for a moment.

Looking at Sona who was staring into the void, Leo couldn't help but frown.

"Sona" Leo softly called Sona.

"Huh?" Sona looked at Leo without spiritless.

"You're good? Since we left the Gremory clan. You've been more discouraged. Did something happen?" Leo asked uncertainly.

"No, I was just thinking," Sona said.

"In what?" Leo asked curiously.

"Secret" Sona said with a small smile.

Looking at Sona, Leo could only shake his head.

'I think I'm thinking too much' Leo thought to himself.

"Emm Leo-san, have you finished the book?"

"Yes, it wasn't very difficult, it must be because it was the basics. Although I will have to practice the teleportation and for the moment I am far from being able to do it without a magic circle" Leo said with a frown. After finishing the book, he tried several times to teleport through a magic circle but still did not fully master the method.

"Well, it also cost me a little bit, but after a day I discover how it worked, so I think it won't take you long to completely master it," Sona said with a smile.

"Hmm," Leo nodded.

"Sona, comparing yourself to Akeno, how strong are you?" Leo asked curiously. From his duel with Akeno, he couldn't get that matter out of his head. Her reaction speed, control of her magic and the time in which she activated the spells were too fast.

"I think I'm a little stronger than her. Because she is not used to her powers as a devil, she did not give 100% of her power" Sona said after thinking for a moment

"Wow ... You're quite strong" Leo smiled.

Watching Leo's reaction, Sona raised her ċhėst proudly

"There is no reason to be surprised. When it comes to the handling of magic, she is under the tutelage of Grayfia-sama so it is normal for her performance to be so amazing. But aren't you weirder? Although we are the same age, I'm sure you're more powerful than me." Sona explained and looked at Leo.

"What happened?" Leo asked, due to the sudden silence.

"Leo-san. What are you?" Sona said since this matter intrigued her a lot.

Since Leo's arrival at the mansion, Sona had several doubts about his identity. At first, she thought he was a normal human because of what her sister told her, but after what happened at the ceremony and at the battle yesterday, she was sure that he was not human.

Listening to Sona, Leo thought for a moment. After a few seconds, Leo could only sigh.

"Even if I told you, you wouldn't believe me." Leo looked at Sona seriously, although he had no problems with his identity, he knew that even if he said so, she wouldn't believe him.

'Well, like you, I am a devil, although you could consider me as a variant that was born magically in a human family to avoid problems and to form a harem but still, I ended up meeting Serafall and then in hell. Funny isn't it? "Shaking his head, Leo decided to forget his line thoughts.

Listening to Leo, Sona felt satisfied knowing that her theory was true.

"Don't worry, no matter what you are, I won't judge you," Sona said seriously.

"Hmm ... I'll tell you" Leo said after contemplating it.

"Really?" Sona looked at Leo with doubt.

"Sure, you just have to beat me in a fight and I'll tell you." Leo smiled.

Looking at Leo who was smiling, Sona could only give up.

"As if I could beat you" Sona muttered to herself. She expected him to refuse but not to use such dirty tactics.

"Well, then I think you'll have to endure your doubts."

Ignoring his mockery, Sona continued her questions.

"Since you don't want to tell me who you are, at least you could tell me what that skill was, I'm sure my sister didn't teach you that."

Although Sona continued her interrogation, Leo did not feel upset and continued to answer her questions.

"It's something that I created myself, although the skill is quite simple, it requires a lot of control" Leo replied while creating a small bird of fire.

Since fighting with Akeno, Leo instead of using Hellblaze, he decided to use normal fire magic since it would be too much to use Hellblaze.

"Interesting" Sona muttered to herself as she thought about the different uses of the skill.

"Have you finished your questions?" Leo smiled.

Feeling ashamed of her behavior, she responded: "Go ahead ... Ask what you want," Sona said as she sighed.

"It's not necessary, I have nothing to ask." Leo shrugged.

"Eh?" Sona exclaimed.

"It's not that strange, besides, it's more fun to find out for me," Leo explained.

"Haha, Leo-san, you're so strange." Sona couldn't help laughing.

Leo could only console himself.

'I'm not strange, I'm just looking for a funny second life' Leo thought to himself.

While Leo comforted himself, Sona opened her eyes in surprise.

"Huh, then he finally did it" Sona muttered to herself with a smile.

"Who did what?" Leo asked doubtfully Hearing Sona's murmur.

*Flash

With a flash, a magic circle appeared below Sona.

At the same time, Serafall appeared in the yard.

"SONA!" Serafall exclaimed when she saw the magic circle beneath Sona that was getting brighter.

"You don't have to worry Nee-san, I'll be fine," Sona said trying to reassure her sister.

Turning to look at Leo, Sona said with a smile

"Leo-san, don't let my sister do something stupid." After finishing her words, a beam of light enveloped Sona and disappeared.
