Chapter 369 - Harmlessness-III

Seoyeon could feel the sun burning before her the same way Collin looked at her where his gaze were blazing with rage. She didn't do anything to the man and yet she received the glare but then Seoyeon wasn't very surprised as she knew how deep rooted the hatred hunters held against dark witches and now she had been classified together with them.

"I am not here to attack anyone of you. I came here to talk," Seoyeon stared back at the man's gaze without showing fear. She then raised her hand when at the same time someone had pulled the trigger of their gun.

A bullet launched unexpectedly. Both Seoyeon and Colin was surprised as they didn't planned the move before.

"Stop!" Collin raised his hand but Seoyeon had take it upon herself to stop the bullet using the ripples of her power and pulled the bullet closer toward her before clenching her fist, causing the bullet to turn to dust.

Her small action surprised everyone around here, including Jung Hwa as in a mere one day sleep, Seoyeon had flew many tiers and grew her ability.

But Seoyeon looked far more surprised than the others around her.

'That was too late,' cam Haneul's voice beside her ear as that startled Seoyeon. 'Don't remove your gaze rom your enemy. I learned you got stab easier if you get surprised by the littlest attack or occurrence around you.'

"I thought you were gone," whispered Seoyeon. "And that I can only see you through the dream."

'You have seen my past and learned too much about me that our link had gotten stronger. That was only a percent of our power. Focus. I only regulate your power but you are the one who control them.'

Getting back to the people before her, Seoyeon sighed, "I only have nineteen chances left. All I want is to talk."

"Letting you take the chance to kill us in the middle of it?" One of the hunters spoke and quickly, Collin glared at him.

"I have warned all of you not to provoke her!" Collin glared at Bestie who then turned to warn his subordinates. "We suggest you to let us take your life peacefully, Miss Seoyeon."

"Because you can't." Seoyeon saw the way Collin's face turn grim as she had hit the mark. "But killing myself is out of the option."

"You might be strong, Miss Seoyeon I can tell it," Collin's eyes slowly brushed down, looking at the bullet that had turned into fine dusts. "No one had ever been able to control the catalyst's power."

"I am here—" Seoyeon frowned as the man continued,

"That makes you even more dangerous especially when you don't seem to be able to negotiate. While we are less stronger than you, we have pride of killing a catalyst before."

"Not the one that was able to control the catalyst I assume," Seoyeon saw how Collin frowned deeper as her words crawled under his skin. "Listen, I am not like any other catalyst. I have the power and the ability to control my own power. To activate them and to use them for better use. All I need is for you to take down the order to kill me."

"I understand you, Miss Seoyeon. I have seen a catalyst before," Seoyeon frowned in question. "I may not look like it, but I am decades older than you and no, I am not a witch or a vampire. My first mission as a hunter was to kill a catalyst who went berserk. Do you know what happened to her then??"

Seoyeon shrugged her shoulders as the answer were clear, "You killed her."

"She begged us to kill her. I can tell you can control your power. I am amazed but can you tell me confidently one day your power wouldn't break? I had seen the hospital situation and saw it through the camera, you might now had the control of your power but what if you are angry? No one is ever stronger than the emotions inside them."

"But I can," Seoyeon answered firmly as her black eyes turned silverish. "I know how to control my power and even if I burst into anger I have the confident to shut all those power to bend before me."

Collin narrowed his eyes. He was surprised to ever see a catalyst was able to control her power. What does this mean? That the catalyst were evolving?

"I cannot trust you," Collin let out his words, "In my hands are not only the life of ten to twenty people. There are thousands including the hunters who work here and their family. My judgement can affect thousand of lives and you words aren't enough to make me trust you."

Seoyeon sighed, "What do you suggest then?"

"What proof can you give me?" Collin asked, "Something that might actually weigh more than simply your words."

"I am not a breaker in promises, Ku-WanHi," the man was a little taken aback by how Seoyeon knew his real name. "My words weigh heavier than anything this world can offer. I am sure there must be a room inside your building which had been made by the last descendant of the Han Family inside, the one that was built by the light witches where anyone except light withes can activate their power there. I will voluntarily enter the place which I'm sure as  person who wish to keep me under watch would want. But for this to happen, I request you to not attack me."

Silence ensued between Seoyeon and the hoards of hunters. All of them looking at her as if she had lost it. None of them trusted her but the couldn't let go the tempting opportunity as well.

Collin was confused as all that Seoyeon offered will affect badly on herself. It was all but disadvantages for her. They were just lucky. Lucky that this woman who could control and tame the catalyst had instead chose to not attack them.

"You can die," Collin warned.

He doesn't seem like a bad person without moral, thought Seoyeon and she offered the man a kind smile. "I know and I am prepared but as a warning I will tell you that even without my power, as long as you are all humans, I am able to take you down."

Collin heaved a deep breath. Both side were tense as the decision  could stem into many form of future.

"Al-" before Collin was able to continue, another series of bullet rain down toward Seoyeon.

She was startled by the attack as everything seemed to went normal earlier where things were going the way she wished to happen but she didn't let herself taken by the momentum and started her power, creating a barrier which caught all the bullets around her.

As if it wasn't enough, an arrow shut down toward her shoulders, Seoyeon managed to hold it down. After crushing he bullets, she defended herself against the arrow until the person responsible of the attack was taken down by Collin.

Seoyeon looked at the bullets and then the arrow.

"That was close," she whispered, "It's nineteen attacks for now."

She then lifted her chin up, seeing the hunters flinched at the light gesture. "Can I make my way inside now?" She then looked at the man who had attacked her struggling on the ground. Noticing something she raised her hand, casting a magic that prevented the man from biting his own tongue.

Collin noticed what she did and he spread his hand to the people behind him, "Let her enter."

Seoyeon made her way inside, but before she landed her feet across the gate, she turned toward Collin. "Can I bring my friend with me?"

Collin took time to think, he didn't immediately agree but neither did he disagree. He then nodded his head, "Sure."

From the left side, Jung Hwa manifested, surprising both the hunters and Seoyeon. The fortuneteller came beside her not long after.

"Friend?" Jung Hwa raised his brows while questioning her words.

Seoyeon smiled while looking at her, one side of her lips were pulled higher than the other, "It's easier to explain them those. I only got nineteen attacks."

"Hm," Jung Hwa knew Seoyeon was happy she had succeeded the plan, but seeing the attack around her, it still didn't sit well to him. As they left, Jung Hwa let go of his fist that he had clenched, letting the one bullet to fall soundlessly on the ground.

The structure was more modern that the Associates' building. Outside, she first saw the training ground that was currently empty. Some dents and scratched could be seen everywhere whether on the floor or the dummy they use to attack. The place was much more livelier than the Associates.

While she entered, everyone stared at her like a unique piece in the chessboard. The gaze was stinging but Seoyeon didn't pay any attention in it. During the entire walk, they hadn't talk.

They stopped only after they reached to one room. Seoyeon, Jung Hwa, and the fortuneteller entered before Collin and Bestie. Taking a seat down, the air in the room turn stifling as the hunters stared at them

"Can I make an assumption that there is a reason for you to come here with all these risks?" Collin questioned, his eyes didn't tear itself away from staring at Seoyeon for many reasons.
