Chapter 367 - Harmlessness-II

"I don't agree," said Jung Hwa once he had heard about her plan. "It is to reckless and dangerous."

"We don't have a choice and I believe it is one of the fastest and easiest way. For measure to protect me, Haneul would be with me," convinced Seoyeon but Jung Hwa still didn't seem to agree.

"I also think it is reckless," Seojun said that had Seoyeon to purse her lips with the three amount disagreement she got from Jung Hwa, Seojun and JaeGil.

Yeseul had the last to vote but then the majority had disagreed, leaving Seoyeon to sigh.

"But we cannot disagree that this is the quickest method," the fortuneteller spoke, "Though as we would still worry, I would be there to activate a protective barrier to Seoyeon and meanwhile we also have JaeGil if push come to shove and we need to heal Seoyeon. I don't know about you men, protecting Seoyeon in great but seeing we don't have choice, why don't we agree? She is capable of protecting herself."

Seoyeon smiled at the encouragement though she tamed her smile when seeing the deep frown between Jung Hwa's forehead and JaeGil's to not irk and annoy them.

"Once we secure the Hunter's building, we can use that place as a base. Hunters knows better how to kill both vampires and witches, I think they are the most trusted in this case." Seoyeon didn't know how much she can do with this plan of hers but once she consulted with Haneul through her conscious mind, Haneul agreed which mean it was a great idea.

"Alright," Jung Hwa was the one to give the green flag, "But if they attack you for more than ten time, you have to go back, do you understand?"

"Twenty," Seoyeon negotiate.

"Ten."

"Fifteen?" Seoyeon looked at Jung Hwa who was firm before he nod his head and she rejoiced a little in her heart.

"Tomorrow will be a long and tiring day. We have been up for hours and I think it's time for us to sleep," Yeseul announced as she pushed herself from the floor, "Men sleep over there and don't cross this side. Not even you are a couple. I don't want bunnies in heat in the place I sleep on."

Seoyeon shook her head at the unfiltered words of the fortuneteller.

As night falls, Seoyeon didn't sleep and stayed outside, staring at the stars which seemed to be more brilliant tonight. She liked to see the moon even though she hated darkness.

"You are not going to sleep?" asked JaeGil from behind. He came out of the house, closing the door and making his way to sit beside Seoyeon who was sitting in the edge of the house's terrace.

"What about you?" Seoyeon questioned the man back and saw him made his place beside her. "I took enough sleep yesterday, enough that I don't feel sleepy right now."

"I need to question you something, Seoyeon." JaeGil turned and looked at her eyes, "Are you really not Haneul?"

"I'm not," Seoyeon answered the man with a small smile, "In the dream that I saw through Haneul's glasses, I learned a few things about your past. I hope I am not intrusive."

"You mean how I loved Haneul from long ago even until now?"

Seoyeon knew the reason why JaeGil kept asking if she was Haneul. It wasn't that he didn't accept that Haneul was gone or that she wasn't her, but the man want to make peace with his past, forgetting about his long attachment.

"I meant to address the time you had to kill your friends and families," Seoyeon knew it was the deepest wound of JaeGil and she was right when JaeGil's expression turned morose. "I don't want to bring old wounds but when I talked to Haneul there was one thing she wishes to tell you."

JaeGil's eyes stayed at her with hope and Seoyeon said with her softest voice, "Thank you for being there for me and for standing on the right side. You are my most trustful friend."

JaeGil's mouth opened but close and he turned away to hide his face from Seoyeon. In respect, Seoyeon looked up again to the sky. "Someone told me that there was always someone whose pain carved deeply, and raw, that their pain would never fade even if it has turn into a scar. I don't know whether it will be a consolation for you, Mr. Kwon Huan. Turning your eyes from the past doesn't mean you forget them, it can also mean that in their wishes, you are striving for a better life for them as well. When the Queen is killed, I hope you can learn how to forgive yourself."

Kwon Huan didn't reply, "Can I really do that? Forgetting them when I had killed them. They were like my family, sometimes closer than one. When I close my eyes, no matter how many bodies my soul have been transferred to, I would have that one nightmare of them screaming in the dark. I thought Haneul would be able to answer me and help me find the answer but she isn't here."

"Accept your mistake then," Jung Hwa said once he opened the door. His eyes stared at the short difference between Seoyeon and Kwon Huan. Quickly he made himself entering the small gap. "Do you know, that one will feel guilty only when they think their guilt cannot be forgiven? They won't feel guilty if they knew they will be forgiven. But it's useless if the person you want to be forgiven has died. That left only one answer. Acceptance. If forgiving yourself is difficult then accept it. You are their killer, you are the bad guy, you are the one who had killed them than accept that fact, rather than waiting to be forgiven."

"You sounds as if his have gone through this before," Kwon Huan turned and looked at Jung Hwa who grinned.

"I have went through this twice. Killing my mother and then my brother. One might have reason but the other one was completely my guilt," Jung Hwa said with a smile.

Seoyeon knew that Jung Hwa wasn't proud of his killing. As he had said, he accepted his mistake and looked at it as a way to move toward the future which was what Kwon Huan needed.

"Before I would have nightmares ceasingly. Every night, morning, and afternoon, I can't nap, not even for a second as I would be haunted by nightmares."

Kwon Huan said, "I have went through that for my three lifetime until now. But you seem can do it faster than me."

"I have told you my first trick and the second one is," Jung Hwa turned to Seoyeon, smiling boyishly while taking her hand, "to find someone who would be there to help you heal your wounds and love you for your sins, the good and the bad."

Kwon Huan nodded and he covered half of his mouth using his arm he propped to his knees. He turned toward the opposite side again, whispering softly, "I see."

Seoyeon didn't know whether they might help but in the next morning, she saw Kwon Huan waking up fresher than before. His eyes were bright and clear as he had finally made peace with his past.

Seoyeon went through her plan for the last time, and pulled her coat over her. They had discussed and agreed that only her, the fortuneteller, and Jung Hwa would be going; leaving Kwon Huan and Seojun back in the house for safety measure.

"Sister," Seojun called her before she left, "I-," there was a lot of statement he has to make, asking for her forgiveness but now that the time come, Seojun can't say a word.

"Am I you sister, Seojun?" Seoyeon questioned while staring at the younger man.

Seojun's lips tremble. No matter how older he had gotten, Seoyeon can only see her younger brother as an adorable child who was still young and green.

"If you allow me, I would still like to think that you are my sister-" Seojun felt himself pulled and hugged by Seoyeon. His words now turn into a fire that burned the rim of his eyes.

"Then I am your sister," Seoyeon rested her head to Seojun's neck, noting how taller her baby brother had become. "I know you have been protecting me, Seojun on your own way. I don't lie how disappointed I was and how I felt betrayed but I trust what I have seen, I trust both you, mother, and father that you had taken me as a family."

"Father and mother never want to kill you," Seojun didn't want Seoyeon to mistake his parent's pure intention. "They really loved you like their own daughter."

"I know," Seoyeon answered, "At first I wonder if they had taken me in for that very one reason that they wished to keep an eye on me. But fact was, they had come here to consult with the fortuneteller on how to seal my power. No one would care to seal my power and they could have killed me with that excuse but they don't. I trust them."

"It's time," Yeseul announced after waiting for the siblings to share their words.

"Be careful," Seojun wished while holding her hand.

"You too." Seoyeon turned her back and walked beside Jung Hwa, feeling her hand which trembled faintly to be held by Jung Hwa.. She smiled while staring at him and they both walked hand in hand to transport to the entrance of the Hunters' building.
