Chapter 320 - We Get To Know-I

Seoyeon and Yu Sheen shared a glance that were quick and wordlessly, the half vampire pointed the large shelf. Seoyeon nodded and she marched quick to the shelf, hiding herself there. When Yu Sheen had made sure she was well hidden did he open the door.

The shadow of the man was first to appear before Yu Sheen's eyes that were black looked back at another pair of black eyes. Seoyeon gulped down the saliva on her mouth inside the shelf, biting to the insides of her cheeks in the darkness. She wondered why was the Hunters here? It still hadn't been long since Yu Sheen convinced her that this room was secure.

A part of her was burning with curiosity and she pressed her ears to the side of the shelf's door, just to hear the voice of the Hunter to no avail.

"What can I help you with?" asked Yu Sheen, holding back his breath tightly. He looked back at the Hunter who came against the door. The Hunter was fairly young but one could never doubt the ability of a person by their age. Being a half vampire, Yu Sheen knew this better than anyone.

His hair was polishedly pushed to the back of his head, showing his sharp features and his strong brows. A look of watchful was over his eyes and he didn't reply. Instead, he pushed Yu Sheen by his palm after looking left and right as if he was checking something.

Yu Sheen might have healed himself but his feet was caught by surprise that he fell behind before even realizing the door behind him had been shut.

"Where is she?" came the hunter's quick question.

"Where is who?" Yu Sheen questioned tightly. He didn't know who the man in front of him was and neither the relationship he shared with Seoyeon. As she was hiding, neither Seoyeon knew that the Hunter who had appeared was her younger brother.

"Where is Seoyeon. She is here, isn't she?" demanded Seojun, haste ridged the skin of his forehead.

How does this man know Miss Seoyeon's name? But then Yu Sheen was lightly briefed by Lee Young of how now Jung Hwa and Seoyeon's name had been put on wanted list by both the Associates and Hunters. "I am not sure who you are talking of."

It was a good lie but Seojun could see through it. Ignoring the man, he left to look around the room. When he saw a large shelf which stood out the most as it could be the most possible place to hide a person inside, Seojun reached out his hand for Yu Sheen to stop him by gripping to his wrist.

"I advise you to leave, Mr. Hunter. This place is occupied and you have breached the right of Mr. Lee's privacy by barging to this room."

Seojun sharply rolled his eyes, his breaths tight, "This is not a problem of yours to care." He moved his hand only to feel how tight the squeeze on his wrist turn out. Not having time to waste, Seojun twisted his arm to force Yu Sheen and yield to release his hand yet the half vampire was persistent. "I didn't want to this," sighed Seojun and the word alarmed Yu Sheen who thought the Hunter would come with an attack when instead, he intoned, "Seoyeon. Sister Seoyeon!"

The door of the shelf the clicked open. Seojun's eyes shifted to the other shelf which wasn't the same one he stood in front of. His eyes settled on the leaf of the door that opened but didn't immediately show the person who he wanted to see.

Her shoes left the door, following it was her body and her face. Seoyeon's eyes were larger than before, she was confused— so confused that her facial muscles were stunned. She doubted her ears, but being Seojun's sister for her whole life, she could never mistaken whose voice it was.

It was Seojun's voice, her younger brother, and upon perusing the young man's face, she confirmed it was indeed the one and only... "Seojun..."

But why was he here? Seoyeon asked in her mind. She could feel the answer crawling from the back of her mind but her rational self or her heart pushed the thoughts away, not wanting to believe what she knew was closest to the truth.

"Why are you here?"

"We need to talk, sister," Seojun said again. Yu Sheen stole more back and forth glances between Seoyeon and Seojun.

"No. Answer me first," Seoyeon demanded. At the least she had her right to ask. "What are you doing here? This is not the place for you to be here." But that wasn't the point, thought Seoyeon as she shook her head.

Seojun felt itching anxiousness on his heart. He dreamt this day where he had to reveal his true purpose on being Seoyeon's adoptive brother. Each expression that rode Seoyeon's face on his imagination was close to what he could see was about to illustrate on her face— an expression of confusion, surprise, and betrayal.

But this was still a small betrayal compared to the truth where Seojun had to expose his truest mission of his entire family which was to kill her when the time took them.

"Seojun?" urged Seoyeon, soliciting answer from him as with more questions she delivered, Seojun's lips thinned further. "Seojun!" Seoyeon raised her voice, once after years as he rarely raised her voice to her beloved brother. Now, there were only the need for her to know answer while Seojun hesitated to comply.

Seoyeon took a quick step, eyes were angry but more than that, she just wished for transparency. Her movement was forestalled when the series of knocking greeted the door again.

"Yu Sheen, are you there?" This time it was Lee Young's voice. His question seemed harmless until he stressed importance in his words, "We have a guest with us who want to see around. Make sure there is no mess lying around."

Yu Sheen switched his gaze to the brother and sister, "Miss Seoyeon, you need to hide. That was Mr. Lee's sign." However, Seoyeon felt like she had been rooted on the ground, asking questions that was futile as no reply would be serve if she continue to ask herself. "Miss," Yu Sheen pressed and only then did Seoyeon turned her back.

Seojun who had also came in hidden then saw the door flung open. He saw his Senior and he was uneasy but not because the fact he had slipped from the two and went off to his own accord and schedule; it was because of the need for him to explain and betray the reality in which he and his parents elucidated for Seoyeon to put her faith into.

"Oh, Black you are here," said Kwon Huan with a light surprise. He didn't question but he sounded like he did.

"I was looking around when I met this person and he was kind enough to show me around the place," Seojun lied so easily and smoothly while looking toward Yu Sheen, the half vampire.

Reading the mood and situation Yu Sheen nodded, "Mr. Seojun is a very friendly person. I had fun talking to him."

"Isn't it great to see two creatures now being congenial upon each other. In the past we could barely see a Hunter and vampire in the same room. Either we see blood, limbs detached, or maybe the two would have died together from their opponent's attacks," Lee Young intoned, "I am happy to see that we didn't regress and instead progress."

"It takes time to change people's point of view," agreed Kwon Huan, "But it still remains in me a hope to see one day where vampires, hunters, and humans could be together in a room without segregation created by our one sided opinion or assumption."

"Sure. It sounds like a pleasant experience to look forward to," Lee Young put on a polite smile. How much of truth spiced on his words remain unknown. "Anyway, there is nothing too striking or amusing in this room. This place is created under the Associates' agreement."

Kwon Huan didn't demand answer of why the man had his own operating table and strange tubs filled with something similar to organs. He used the softer approach, "Are you a doctor, Mr. Lee?"

"I will call myself a scientist. A vampire scientist who wish to know humans and vampires. With my knowledge I help other vampires with their problem. Sometimes strange illness appear between vampires, you see. They call us immortal but we know how much it isn't true," Lee Young then entered and showed his hand around, "Hm, not much to look at. Do you still want to see around?"

Kwon Huan surveyed the room by his eyes answering with a shake of his head soon after. Lee Young stepped outside, showing no strangeness that anyone could pick out except for those who was already aware of Seoyeon's presence in the shelf. "Right. Where were we earlier again?"

"It was my question about Mr. Jung," said Kwon Huan and he also left the room only to grind his heels to a stop, "Black?"

Seojun didn't stare at the shelf to gather attention but a look of not wanting to leave cross his face, "I will follow." and as he words it, the younger hunters left. The doors closed behind him in a quick shut.

Seoyeon pushed open the shelf after another good one minute. Stepping outside, her hand splayed on the closest cupboard. "Mr. Yu." And Yu Sheen, who was sensitive to read the situation and between line, came nearer. "Was the man from earlier who came in is a Hunter?"

Being a half vampire, Yu Sheen should know it better than her.

Yu Sheen gestured with his head heaving up and down as replying would take another part of courage he didn't think he had.

"God," the frustrated curse slipped underneath Seoyeon's breaths. What was happening? Seojun was a Hunter?
