Chapter 307 - Catalyst’s Outbreak-II

Upon seeing Seoyeon, Taehyung was going to approach the woman who was coming toward Seulgi's side to discuss her about the situation and what happened to Seulgi. What he didn't expected was how before he could reach Seoyeon, a sudden light emit from the woman's eyes. The bright light continue to leave her body, creating a semicircle of light and Taehyung, who could tell there was more than only light from the inverted paraboloid, immediately made an escape from the window.

Outside from the building a loud bang rang, almost waking the whole city from sleep. The sound of the bang was far noisier than thunder of a large storm and in the hospital, the upper side of the hospital went missing as if someone had taken a bite off the building.

Taehyung escaped by a hair's breadth. By the time he came back, he saw Seoyeon kneeling in front of Seulgi's body that didn't caught in the explosion.

"Shit," Taein who was also in the room, left alive, seemed to have manage to escape, but the damage cause his a large tear to form on his legs. "What is she?!" Demanded Taein to Taehyung who came to stand not too far away from him.

Taehyung didn't know either what had Seoyeon did. He could faintly sensed since the first time they exchange words that Seoyeon had a witches' bloodline in her, but he had never seen any witches who have enormous power like she did and an ability that was this lethal.

Sounds of footsteps came from the side of the room where the wall had been broken. The men under Remong was rattled by what they saw, and their eyes fell to Taein who yelled, !Get away from there!"

But it was too late. Before the men could escape an invisible force pulled them away from their position and hoist them in mid air, following the direction Seoyeon raised her hand. From the ground, Seoyeon slowly stood up and her eyes that were bleak looked at the men who was now raised on the air, struggling as their complexion turn blue as if they couldn't breath.

Her ink eyes had turned empty blue and even though Seoyeon appeared to be able to stand, she was in a trance as if her consciousness wasn't there in her body. Taehyung who study Seoyeon from afar didn't understand why she was looking like this. What happened to her?! He knew he needed to stop the girl but he didn't know where to begin.

"What the hell did you bring?!" Taein shouted beside him. "She is not a human!"

"I don't know!" Taehyung answered. He truly doesn't know. He had never seen anyone holding ability like Seoyeon did now. Worse now, Seoyeon's consciousness seemed to have gone from her, preventing her to make choices of good and bad. "If this keep up, everyone will be killed," and by everyone, Taehyung didn't mean the dark witches, but the innocent lives of humans who might be near the hospital.

In time, the rest of the men who came by after hearing the explosion then looked at their fellow ally flying on the sky while gasping for breath. Seeing Seoyeon whose hands were raised, they were quick to notice that this was her doing and without further hesitation, they brought out the weapon and wield to attack her.

"Stop it!" Taehyung yelled but the four men didn't heed to his words and continue to pursue Seoyeon.

Slowly, Seoyeon's face turn to look at the four men. She raised her hand, a drop of blood dribbled from the corner of her eyes similar to tears, "It's time for you to learn your mistake," whispered Seoyeon but her words didn't come from herself rather from the catalyst who was inside her.

When she directed her palm to the four men and spoke, a sudden breeze of wind brushes the four men. Nothing happened at the first second before the men suddenly combust to scatter of snowflakes upon being in contact with Seoyeon's power. She then released her other hand which she raised, letting the earlier three men who she had raised on the air fall lifelessly on the ground.

Seoyeon raised her hand, but this time she didn't attack anyone. Her fingertips slowly made its way toward Seulgi's side of face, "Again, I am losing everyone... It shouldn't have happened," she whispered at the same time the red blood fell to touch Seulgi's cheek. "I thought I have protected everyone but I was wrong."

Taein who had been watching what happened from the sideline kept his eyes brood over the scatter of snow that laid on the ground which belong to the four men earlier who now had turned to nothingness. His widened eyes continue to stare at the snow before he picked his gaze to look up at the woman who was weeping over the dead body. A laughter then slipped from the younger twin who instead of feeling defeated, saw this as a chance. "This power! This is what we need. The dark witches need this power."

"What are you doing?! Don't do it!" Taehyung stopped his brother from moving but Taein who didn't fear death, continue to drag his wounded feet while advancing to make his way toward Seoyeon. "Feeding her more blood will only do the opposite!! You are only offering yourself!" warned Taehyung but his words didn't reach Taein's ears whose eyes had turned ambitious over seeing the power that he never saw before.

Seoyeon closed her face with both her palms, whispers came from her lips that were incoherent. Taein carefully made his way around Seoyeon, using a few of his stealth magic, he was able to appear behind her. Raising his hand, he chopped down his hand to knock her consciousness only for Seoyeon to suddenly turn her face and looked at him, surprising his movement.

"I smell her blood from you," Seoyeon said, her bright blue eyes then showed a sign of anger that boiled further into rage as she peered down into the witch, "You were the one who killed her."

Taein had seen how powerful Seoyeon was from earlier blast, but he didn't know that the human girl who seemed to be incapable of killing a person was not the same person as she is. Sensing the attack, Lee Taein put forward his palm, manifesting a fire magic toward Seoyeon but with a light snap, the fire disappear.

Taein's eyes widened in a shock, "You are not a simple witch! What are you?!"

Seoyeon only took one step forward for her to take a grip on Taein's neck, her eyes stared back at the witch's light colored eyes, "Don't put me on the same sentence of witches like you. You are an ugly creature whose heart only occupy greed and with changes of centuries and millennium you still never change. Still repulsive, nauseating, and you have the blood of that woman," the catalyst inside her emphasis on her last word.

Taein frowned, he could smell witch's scent from the girl which why he thought she was just a simple witch with who at chance held a despotic ability. But he was wrong. This girl was no mere human or witch! She was something different— a creature whom they have never seen before. A sudden pain then came to Taein's chest and he begin to curl and grunt in pain, "Cray bitch! W-What are you?"

Seoyeon looked back at Taein who had spewed blood from his mouth. Upon the cruelty she had subjected on more than ten people now, Seoyeon appeared unbothered or guilty. She only stared at the witch with a raw anger, something that had never appeared on her eyes in the past. "Someone who is here to clean this world from your creatures."

Taein struggled to speak, but he was unable to say a single word as more blood suddenly spill from his mouth along with the twisting pain on his chest. Seoyeon didn't kill him immediately as it would be all too easy if she killed him fast. Instead, she continue to inflict pain just enough for Taein to suffer but not die.

"Stop it!" Taein pleaded as the pain continue to spread all over his body but Seoyeon didn't stop, instead the pain doubled and stream of blood stream out from the man's mouth. "S-Stop it! Please!"

Seoyeon wasn't going to stop. Unlike her who was kind, the catalyst that had taken over her body was ruthless. Taehyung couldn't get close the proximity. He knew if he walked near the place, Seoyeon won't show mercy to him and kill him at once.

All of a sudden, Seoyeon's hands that were hoisting Taein's body on air loosened her grip and Taein's body fell to the floor. He looked up, wondering if the woman had showed mercy which was stupid because he would use the mercy she showed to his advantage but then he realized that wasn't the reason. An arrow had pierced through Seoyeon's shoulder.

Seoyeon, who was standing, frowned in pain that came on her shoulder and she turned her head to look behind at the woman who was flying on a broom, with an arrow on her hand. The woman had sent an arrow on the side of the building that was broken. "Look what we found," Ava, the witchess who had released the arrow slowly smiled when her eyes met Seoyeon's bleak ones chimed.. "This is not a witch. What are you girl?"
