Chapter 278 - Meditating The Situation-III

They had left the hallway and Seoyeon followed Grandfather Jung to where she saw the garden was. They left the house from the stained glass door, walking out she was greeted with a large garden that spread out with tall trees as the walls to surround the garden. Inside the circle was bushes of flowers that Seoyeon have seen and never seen before.

"The garden was made right as soon as my daughter was born," started Grandfather Jung as he walked away and she followed the man just two step behind him. "I wasn't fond of flowers like Hwa was, to me they are the easiest being that die fasts. But my late wife told me that flowers may die after they had given another life. Sadly like her words, she ended the same as those flowers."

Seoyeon didn't know why the elder vampire had asked her to come with him but perhaps he only wanted someone to hear him, "She must be a very lovely person."

"Very," the man said with a smile and from it, Seoyeon could feel the extent of happiness that sprung to the vampire when thinking of his late wife. "My daughter was born stronger than normal. My wife died after giving birth, you must think it's unusual."

Seoyeon honestly replied with a nod, "I didn't know that vampires could die from giving birth."

"It's a rare case especially when my wife was also a pureblood vampire, at that time most vampires even thought it was a curse due to how they took her cause of death as something utterly impossible," the man explained turning his face and he slowed his steps for her to catch up, "However, my wife's condition was different and I think you have seen how different Hwa was, didn't you?"

Seoyeon brought her head up and down, recalling how Jung Hwa was completely made up on his own way, setting a very clear strike different of him and the others. The only person who Seoyeon could feel similar to Hwa was Lee Young.

"Was there a difference between Hwa and the others other than being the second generation vampires?" she asked for the man to look at her with a thoughtful look.

"It seemed he had told you about himself," and Seoyeon nodded, hearing the man continue, "Our ancestors since long ago had been pureblood vampires, we have one of the most strongest blood line of vampires family compared to others, resulting some of us to even became a first generation vampire which is Lee Young, my cousin. It is because of how thick our bloodline was that the descendants grew up to be weaker."

"I thought they would be stronger, the first generation vampires are said to be the strongest from all," Seoyeon asked the fact that she learned through the books.

"Of course, but think of it this way, a cup that is already half filled is continue to be filled," Grandfather Jung gave her an example.

"It would overflow," Seoyeon responded and the man nodded at her quick reply. "So the bloodline of Jung Family was too heavy for the descendants that it instead resulted in weakening their body and health."

"At times also mental," Grandfather Jung added, "My daughter was fortunately born healthily. She was also powerful but less sickly than her mother. I was still a dumb father at that time and when Hyeon finally reached the age of twenty one, I offered her for a marriage meeting. I asked her if she would rather marry a vampire who wasn't a pureblood but my daughter was ambitious. Have you heard Hwa spoke about her?"

Seoyeon wasn't sure if she should say yes as at times it was more like Hwa being sarcastic over her parent's relationship and she decided to keep her words as brief as possible so she won't get too deep or offend Grandfather Jung who clearly doted on his daughter. "I have heard about her a little."

"That's great," smiled Grandfather Jung. He asked in his mind if this witch girl know how rare it was for Jung Hwa to spill beans about his family as he had always been reserved when it comes to speaking about his late parents. It was also a hard topic to bring out when they were together and due to it, he often felt Jung Hwa putting an invisible wall between them as of he didn't want to be too near. Even though Senior Mr. Jung was very aware of his grandson's love to him as they were each other's last family member out in the world.

"Hwa rarely speak about his parents I often wondered if he still remember them. After my daughter married a pureblood, things went for the worse. She was someone who was hard-headed and if I don't sugarcoat my words, she was a very impatient and a dominating person who want things to go on her way. Very willful, girl I have tried to teach her the way her mother and I would like to, but a child didn't grow up based only off their parent's words, there are innate characteristic that sprouted in them despite how we try to bring them to grow up to become a better being," and Seoyeon agreed to that as she had seen parents who were kind and groom their child for the better path for the children to instead chose the wrong path, adopting the bad principles as the correct one.

"What happened after that?" Seoyeon asked as she grew more curious.

"Her first husband had an affair behind her," the man showed an embarrassed smile and said, "In anger she killed him, at that time the Associates weren't as powerful as now and they didn't have the authority to punish her which why she was allowed to be spared without anybody's objection. Would you understand if I say I was instead grateful of it?"And Seoyeon nodded her head.. "It was a month after her husband's death did she realized she had a baby growing inside her stomach and that was the first birth of my grandson, Hwa's older brother."
