Chapter 139 - Folded Picture-I

The car went in stable speed which was not too slow and not too fast. Seoyeon watched Jung Hwa's expression. At first she looked down on her own hand that had been fiddling against each other. Seoyeon didn't know what to say. She had never been good when a family member's death are surfacing and she wasn't sure to say what about his mother's death.

Her eyes shifted again from her fingers to him, "My condolences." she replied to receive a smile from Jung Hwa.

"You don't have to make that face," said Jung Hwa, his eyes on her were now with a gentle smile, "It was something that happen years ago. I can't say I forgot it but with the years even memories turn dull but not the anger."

The anger to the witches. It made Seoyeon question how could Jung Hwa accept her even after knowing that she was a witch, the same being who had killed his mother. When he met Min Beomgyu, Jung Hwa didn't hide his detest to the white witch even if he knew that the witches who killed his mother could possibly be a dark witch. Was she different to him? And when Seoyeon asked the question, she felt her heart elated.

Seoyeon then asked apprehensively, "Was the poison came from the witches?" Because she knew how his mother was killed by the witches.

"Yes." He affirmed, leaving no doubt to the question. "What about your family, Seoyeon?" He then asked, like a scissor cutting to the thread, he shifted the conversation smoothly. "Your foster parents, I mean." He added.

Seoyeon saw Jung Hwa had turned his face, a smile he used which wasn't the one out of mischief or sarcasm but somewhat a boyish smile that she never knew she could see from him. His eyes still watch her in a studying look as if she was some kind of experimental mouse which she found that he had always looked at others the way he did to her. The smile was Jung Hwa's own way to encourage her, "A car accident, it was raining at the time and a drunk driver crash to their car." She kept her words short as explaining too much of the day would only dig her old wound open.

Seoyeon heard him humming subtly to show that he had taken her story. She was still seizing his features and his eyes that now was on the road when he spoke, "Oh, we're here."

Seoyeon saw that she had arrived to her house and when she had stepped out, her hand was still on the door, not closing it and she bend her head to meet his curious eyes that were watching her with fascination. "Thank you." said Seoyeon, her eyes on him curves as she smiled.

Jung Hwa raised his brows slightly, like her she was smiling but now it was with his slight mischief, "And what are you thanking me for?" he asked her.

Seoyeon was sure that if she had met a pureblood vampire that wasn't Jung Hwa, she wouldn't be here and Seulgi must have died. Her friend may now turned into a vampire but the fact she is alive was a blessing to many including her. Even more after knowing that she was a witch, a being he despise the most for killing his mother.

"For helping Seulgi," and many other more, added Seoyeon in her mind. "You forced to show her blood in order to have her drink and not to attack others, didn't you?" He asked him, her eyes looking straight at him.

"Everything for you, Seoyeon," he replied as it was the most obvious thing to do. He raised his hand bringing it up and beckoned her to come, "Come a little here, I have something I forgot to tell you."

Seoyeon questioned what it was and bending her body, she went inside, placing one hand on the seat she was before and came nearer toward him when she felt a soft touch on her cheeks. Her eyes widened when Jung Hwa had moved back. She saw him smiling, "Good night, Seoyeon and have a sweet dream of me." Jung Hwa didn't forget to tell her to dream of him so she would spend her night thinking of him which was what he liked her to do.

Seoyeon stood stunned with her hand over her cheeks, covering the place where Jung Hwa had pressed his lips on. Seoyeon's cheeks turned red at the kiss. She darted her eyes away, feeling her pounding heartbeat on her ears and began to walk inside her apartment, ascending to the stairs while her mind was still filled with the texture of his lips. Jung Hwa's lips was soft and moist which remind her of his lips she had often watch while talking with him.

When she reached to the floor where her room was, Seoyeon placed her hand down to the sides from her cheek to see the person standing before her door. The young man as tall, his hair of a brown color which was lighter than Seoyeon and the moment he saw Seoyeon arrival, his lips widened to a smile, "Sister!" he addressed, seeing Seoyeon happiness bounced at him.

"Seojun, how are you here?" Seoyeon asked him, she walked nearer to receive a hug from her little brother. He had grown taller, even more than her despite being the youngest in the family which mean he grew up well that had Seoyeon to smile.

"I received holiday for a day today and I thought I should come." said Seojun when he pulled himself from Seoyeon. "It's been three months I haven't seen sister, how are you?" He asked her, concern in his eyes as he knew how Seoyeon often worked herself too hard.

"I am great," replied Seoyeon dotingly, picking the key from her pocket, Seoyeon opened the door to her apartment room with her eyes watching the long case where most long papers and projects are kept in the case in order for the paper not to be ruined.. "Did you come here from college?" asked Seoyeon curiously.
