Chapter 123 - I Could Kill You-I

The wind brushes faster surrounding them and in the place where there was only the two of them, Seoyeon couldn't help but felt herself in a trap he laid.

Jung Hwa stared at her eyes with a grin, "You are expecting something," he said, surprising her as her eyes grew wide. "And I'm correct." He added after taking her expression.

"No, you're not." She quickly denied but her heartbeat continued to raise. She quickly turned her face to the wolf and put anything that come from her mind to her lips, "He look well fed. Did you often come here and feed him?"

Jung Hwa chuckled and let the girl have her way out for today. Placing one hand above the wolf for the wolf to lick his hand, he replied, "He does?" The wolf's body was large and the fur was silk which made Seoyeon think that could be possible. "I don't often come here only at some time when I want to see the moon. As for the wolf, I fed him only at those times." His grin that was pulled high now was directed at the wolf, "Did you eat any delicious human meat, wolfie?" and as if knowing what Jung Hwa meant, the wolf barked at him.

Seoyeon didn't know what she should comment on the pureblood and the wolf who seemed to have the same dark humor between them. "You are not going to bring him to your home?" she asked.

"He isn't my wolf." replied Jung Hwa yet he was close enough to make jokes with the wolf thought Seoyeon.

"I thought he was. He likes you." When she had just stood still the wolf tried to growl and bite her but it was a clear different attitude when it come to Jung Hwa. She heard a hooking humming came from the man beside her, turning her head, she saw his brows raising high.

"Jealous, my sweet cat? Don't worry, I like you better than anything. You are the best..." He left the word hanging and Seoyeon gave him a blank expression.

She opened her mouth only to close it and seeing her compliance, Jung Hwa took her hand, tugging it for her to come, "Come and pat, he'll not bite on you. He knows what I like and what I doesn't."

"You sound close but I will refuse that."

"Let's not be too hasty. Rejecting without even trying, look you're making him sad." Jung Hwa clicked his tongue as if putting the wolf. "Nothing can be done without a try, sweetheart. You have to start by raising your hand and leave the rest by trusting me. Go on." He coaxed her and the wolf as if on cue with Jung Hwa, turned his head at her, startling her heart to pick a raise once again.

Seoyeon saw how her the wolf's mouth that were closed slightly open and the sharp teeth glimmering. Remembering how the wolf had glared and growled on her, she didn't want to be a wolf's food. "What if I get bitten." She responded.

"No problem, I'll lick to heal you. Remember I can heal you." Jing Hwa gave her a wink she felt not needed right now. He had it wrong, the problem was with the pain not the after wound!

Jung Hwa had pulled her hand gently tugging her only so she wouldn't run. By now, the cat Seoyeon was ready to jump into a high tree out of fear but that only make him want to bully her a little more. "We can stay here all night, spending the night together if you want to."

Seoyeon sent him a quiet glare. Was this the effect of finding out that she was a witch? Seoyeon stared at the wolf who stared back at her and she gingerly raised her hand. Her fingertips shakes as it grew closer to the wolf's black nose. Unable to watch her own hand getting close to the wide and sharp mouth, Seoyeon shut her eyes until her fingers arrived at a very soft feeling. She rubbed slowly and her eyes began to open to see the wolf had come to her hand. The wolf subdued on her hands, it first waited and when rub his tail behind began to wag, looking similar to a local dog.

"I told you, didn't I?" Jung Hwa's smile came as a smug jab to her and he dusted his hand where the fur had filled his palm. "That's one step to our strong bond of trust. We have to plan for the second one."

Seoyeon looked at him with a disbelief look. "Did you just purposely had me touch the wolf?" His way to make other trust him was dangerous.

He brought his shoulder up, "Remember a certain someone this afternoon says trust need to take time? I have time but not the patient. Don't worry, I will never do anything to you." There was no mischief on his words as he whispered the last sentence at her. His eyes looking at her were daunting but it didn't terrify her.

"Why are you kind to me?" She asked, her eyes staring at him didn't deter, "I may be a witch."

The sharpness on his eyes mellowed with his sweet smile appearing, "You may be one but you're the only one that I want."

Seoyeon truthfully couldn't understand his love nor his reason for one. There was nothing she had done for him to love her but he did. She bite the inside of her cheek, feeling overwhelmed by his words with emotions surging to her deepest corner. "If I am a dark witch, I could kill you." she whispered.

Jung Hwa could see how her eyes looking at him was deflecting as she whisper the question. "You wouldn't." He said for sure because her heartbeat fell shorts when his death was mentioned. The words she had brew lies when her lips uttered the word he could kill him and even more than herself, Jung Hwa knew the emotions in her heart.

"You never know."

"Yes I do." He hold her hand and another on her waist that snug to her. Pulling one of her hand, he placed it above his chest where his heart which wasn't dead beat on her palm. "You'll never kill me, Seoyeon. And even if you do, don't worry, I will never die for your sake.." The hold on his hand tightened and he watched how the human girl he love watch her back with all attention on him.
