Chapter 111 - Meeting The Witch-I

Seoyeon didn't remember taking test. All she did was replying to questions after question before she was told to touch the powder. Recalling the powder, her furrowed brows turn lax, she whispered, "The powder." That was the test. It was the only thing she took that could have pointed her to be a witch.

The man Lee Young smiled at the human's cleverness, "Yes. It is a test for witches to prove whether the humans are a witch. It is something that had been given from our ancestors in order to defend ourself from witches as they are not much different from humans." explained the man generously. For a vampire he seemed to be polite to her who was a human unlike the vampires she met today.

Still curious, she posed another question, "How will it shows if I'm a witches?"

Jung Hwa's hand slipped to her, surprising her but he didn't do anything then pulling the sleeve of her blouse that had her wondered what he was doing and saw his eyes looking at her skin. "If you are a witch by now red rashes will appear to you like an allergic response. Or worse witchess who always took other's appearance will have their skin rot and peeled to show their true nature."

There was a tone that Jung Hwa used which had her vividly imagine how a witch would hav ether appearance rot. She gulped finding hard to speak words as her imagination was running wild. After a while she managed to smile and say, "That sounds like a witches's trick." her words meant no offend but Lee Young who was standing against them turn to look at her. The stare had her scold herself from speaking of her mind.

"You are not entirely wrong. I had my suspicions it was made by a witch. They did say only a night creature can kill another." replied Lee Young then he turn at Jung Hwa, "I heard you ask Ji Hyeang about the humans, come with me. I'll show you the way."

Seoyeon didn't know where they were going to but she went. Jung Hwa who has held her hand look at her before rolling her sleeve back. His expression turns rigid before he pulled his coat from his body, taking it off, he draped it over her body. "Wear it. The place is too cold for you that your nose had turned pink." He smiled then pinch her nose witch a chuckle, "You remind me of a rabbit with pink nose."

"If I am a rabbit, what would you be?" she questioned and rubbed the nose he pinch. Seoyeon felt that Jung Hwa's approach and his touchy-feely behavior to be too forward. But she had never felt a man approaching her the way he did. Pushing her to the wall, holding her waist, leaning his face close. She wondered if this was normal.

He brought his hand to her cheeks, the slide was swift and soft, there were warmth he shared to her cheeks that she felt cold. "A lion, perhaps? Because I feel like I'm about to pounce on you."

The way he spoke pounce could be two thing. She didn't know which meaning to take and chose to take the other one which was less embarrassing, "Don't pounce on me, I'm not delicious." and Seoyeon moved her eyes away from him but couldn't as Jung Hwa was holding the side of her cheeks.

"Who knows? I haven't tasted you yet." His fingers on her cheeks rubbed and moved down, the slower he moved, the warmth create a stark comparison with her cold skin had her shivered and her skin tingle. "You could be delicious." he whispered, and at the same time, his two fingers stopped at the side of her neck. The gaze he has while staring at her skin was demanding.

"I'm sure I'm not." Seoyeon was sure her blood wouldn't taste good and she didn't want him to have ideas on drinking her blood. She could help him if he was in danger but to feel teeth sinking to her neck was unimaginable to her.

"And I'm sure you are." His voice fell low, the words he said because shuddering to her ears, "You always smell sweet and your blood should be no less than how I imagined you to be." with a grin, he left her skin.

There were warmth she could still feel when his skin left her. Seoyeon brought her hand to cover the place he had touched earlier. Now the warm didn't stopped only at her neck but also across her cheeks and ears. She pulled the coat to her shoulders. Unsure if she should give the coat back but he was not near here anymore and indeed she felt cold. Bringing her hand to tuck her arm to the coat, then she felt her skin on her arm itch. Bringing her hand, she rubbed her skin that hinted a red patches of color in her skin which she didn't noticed.

Lee Young spoke the entire time with Jung Hwa while Seoyeon followed from behind. Seeing him spoke, she saw that Jung Hwa seemed to be very familiar with Lee Young. There was also the way they could discuss matters on the same page that had her stare at the back of Jung Hwa's head for a long time. She had seen Jung Hwa work as his secretary but she found that in the Associates he had become a different person.

"She has been staring at you." Lee Young asserted without looking behind and their words failed to reach Seoyeon's ears.

"She always stares at me but when I look at her she would avoid her eyes, adorable aren't she?" Jung Hwa chimed and spoke like how a pet owner would speak about their adorable kitten.

"I noticed she lied earlier, to lie across vampires she is braver than she looks. She knows about you before the accident of Ms. Gwon." said Lee Young that had Jung Hwa narrowing his eyes at the meaning the man alluded.

Jung Hwa snuck his hand to his trouser pocket and his eyes shifted up at Lee Young, "I saved her and revealed myself. She is not a witch, you've seen that she wasn't affected by it."

Lee Young's red eyes moved to the corner and noticing the coat she wore which belonged to Jung Hwa, he only reply, "Maybe. You have to be careful. You wouldn't want getting stabbed to death by a woman." and his reply had Jung Hwa to grin.

"Whatever she does to me, she became more adorable with time and even if she stab me I think I would still find her adorable."

Lee Young shook his head and sighed, he could not see what was different from Seoyeon. The human girl look normal. She wasn't pretty to look at but she also wasn't ugly. In a human term she could be said to be beautiful but not the most beautiful. There wasn't anything he found to be gorgeous from her but Jung Hwa apparently finds her to be beautiful. Each people have their taste and he wasn't to judge.

"The choice is yours. Keep her well, humans are like lambs to this building. Having one running innocently would bring some attention to her."

Jung Hwa brought his shoulders up and tilted his neck, "She is mine. Do you think I would let anyone touch her.." The words he said wasn't a question but a statement and declaration.
