Chapter 110 - Witchess Test-III

The case was found and small in the width of a palm. Most people on the room seemed to also not know what the case was or what was inside the case. Her eyes shifted from the case to Jung Hwa who wasn't too far from her now. Looking at his expression Seoyeon found nothing to read and the man who held the case went to her. As if on cue, when the judge raised his finger, the man who held the case opened and placed it in front of her.

Inside the case was a powder of some sort. The color was white which almost seem like sugar powder to Seoyeon. As she didn't know what it was used for, she watch and studied the powder with curiosity.

"It's a simple work, Ms. Han. You would only need to touch the powder for a few seconds." said the white bearded judges.

Seoyeon stepped closer for a reason she felt nervous from touching the powder. She could feel how the gaze of the judges change once they asked her to touch the powder. She found the powder didn't look frightening or dangerous instead because of the white color it seemed normal. But is there anything normal in the world of the night creature?

Seeing that Jung Hwa didn't stop anyone, she recalled his words which ask if she believes him. Seoyeon had replied the word with logic that she felt right. But deep down she knows and Jung Hwa also knows with her actions that spoke volumes of how she had trusted him. Just like now, Seoyeon reached out her hand to touch the powder with trust that it wasn't dangerous.

When she touched the powder, the judges stared at her face for a long moment. Until a minute passed, the judges stopped looking at her as if they had lost interest. She noticed how they seemed disappointed.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Ms. Han. With your help we are able to find conclusive evidences." said the same man who Seoyeon thought to be the youngest.

So there wasn't anything wrong with her thought Seoyeon and her heart felt relieved. As she was allowed to leave, Seoyeon went back to Jung Hwa but before she did, one of the judges came to ask her, "Ms. Han the first time you meet Ms. Gwon. Do you know she is a vampire?"

When the question arose, eyes were at her again. Seoyeon also felt startled. She knows for sure Jung Hwa had hide the fact that she knows vampires early before Ms. Gwon not to bring her into the world of vampires. Knowing it all, Seoyeon knows how it meant a lot to her. He tried not to bring her in but her misfortune brought herself in. Fortunately she had Jung Hwa and if she didn't, she wondered if she would enter the building and leave without having her blood dried? She could feel the animosity vampires had for humans and they thought humans are their food.

Jung Hwa leaned on the wall his back look loose and his manner was calm. Noticing how Seoyeon didn't look at him to question what should she reply, he smiled. The girl was smart and clever, seeing how she knows what to do, a smile appeared on his lips.

"I don't." came the lies that seemed like the truth. For a moment the judges didn't say anything before a nod was given to her.

"The court is adjourn." announced the same man who was told to bring the case of powder. In her seat, Seoyeon exhaled a breath. She felt stiff and it was hard to breath while being interrogated with the vampires. She didn't stay long at the seat. Standing up, she walked toward Jung Hwa who was at the same place from where they were. Then her eyes found how he was standing while talking with the youngest judge she saw earlier.

Walking toward where he was, Seoyeon noticed how they seemed to be in the middle of an important talk, she hesitantly waited behind. Being not near Jung Hwa, she could feel how there were many vampires still staring at her. Now at this moment the thought of her as a small fawn in a den of lions weren't wrong. The eyes they watch her with seemed as if they were ready to sink their fangs into her neck. But none dared to come close to her and it was all thanks to Jung Hwa being close to her. The vampires still didn't know what their relationship was and didn't rashly act in their instinct.

Jung Hwa saw how she was out of her mind and pulled her waist close beside him. Surprised, she felt her hand raised up but dropped when she saw Jung Hwa. Although she didn't reject him, her hand went to push him from holding her waist too intimately. He did released his hand but he didn't let her to move away from the spot she was now.

He grinned and spoke, "This is Seoyeon."

She saw the man with black hair and deep red eyes look at her with a smile and returned the smile. The man stared at her for a good one minute and he turned to Jung Hwa with a low hum, "The desire." he joked. Seoyeon couldn't understand what he meant but Jung Hwa seemed to have an idea. The man then turned his face at Seoyeon, "My name is Lee Young, Jung Hwa's grandfather's friend."

Seoyeon's brows raised and her eyes moved at Jung Hwa. The man seemed no older than Jung Hwa by a few years. He claimed to be Jung Hwa's grandfather's friend which mean he must be older than he looked now. But then vampires are older than they look. Which had Seoyeon to ask how old was Jung Hwa? He spoke with a tone older than her and perhaps he was.

"The witchess test didn't work on her. She is clean." Lee Young said to Jung Hwa.

Jung Hwa chuckled as if it was his win, "I've said that before didn't I?" Then he saw his adorable girl looking at him with a look and she ask,

"What test?"
