Chapter 105 - The Glimpse-I

Not far from where Seoyeon had entered, the young pureblood vampiress, clenched the glass she held in her hand tightly in pressure that the glass would break if it wasn't made for vampires. She glared at Seoyeon but with how many people had been staring at her, Seoyeon couldn't feel the deathly gaze pointed at her. Not because Seoyeon was not aware of the glare but because most women present in the room felt as if they were going to rip and suck her blood dry.

"Good afternoon, Hwa." A voice came to greet, an older woman came toward Jung Hwa and Seoyeon with a wide smile on her lips. Her eyes were red, the same color of the drink that she held. It took a second for Seoyeon to notice that the drink was blood of a human. Seoyeon then noticed the girl standing beside the older vampiress and saw that the woman and her daughter weren't a korean, possibily a foreigner.

"What a pleasant surprise, aunt Valerie. I thought you are still staying overseas." Jung Hwa replied, smile quirking up to a grin from the corner of his lips.

Was the woman Jung Hwa's aunt? Wondered Seoyeon but she doubted it as before she had judged wrong by thinking Che Hara was Jung Hwa's cousin.

"I had something important to do in Korea, also I have decided to stay in Korea." The woman answered, the smile she had was pulling high as her light brown hair rested above her shoulders. "On my flight back, I heard a news and thought that I should come as soon as I could."

Jung Hwa smiled and shrugged his shoulder, "Rumors are like a wind, it comes fast to your ears. Everyone is very curious about me."

"I'm your aunt, of course I will be curious about my dear nephew." The woman smiled confirming Seoyeon's thoughts. "Rumors are often twisted and turn I know that it isn't anything like that. I've heard that you tried to protect a human from being killed and brought her here to have her went through an examination to hung the witches."

"But the rumors came different, brother Hwa." laughed the girl beside Mrs. Valerie. "I say that rumors often became negative when time passes, they should stop gossiping people they are not well acquainted with."

"That would destroy the purpose of gossiping then, Barbara. Nowadays rumors are needed for people to gather informations which they could use for themselves, right Aunt Valerie?" Jung Hwa didn't forget to bring his aunt back to the talk, a smile creeping with evil intent to his face as he spoke to his aunt.

The atmosphere was taut between them and it wasn't only Seoyeon who noticed this but also Rae Neul who was silent beside Seoyeon. As the talk goes on, Seoyeon felt as if she was nonexistent which was good because as the family gathered, the stares on her has decreases.

"Excuse me," Rae Neul interjected and a displeasure came to the ladies' face, "I will have to go and help the court, I will come back once the court have been opened." Valerie gave a wave of her hand to tell the half vampire to leave and Rae Neul indeed left quickly, leaving Seoyeon alone. She wish she could pull the man and tell him not to go so she wouldn't feel alone but then she still have Jung Hwa, thought Seoyeon.

"Brother Hwa, would you come next time to visit our new house? Mother takes up many considerations to find a perfect house we could live in and finally we had a large garden that I wish you could also come to see." said the young vampiress with a childish smile and a look filled with joy.

"If I have time, I'll try to come. Grandfather will also like to come, you could invite him before me, he would be happy." Jung Hwa then turned his face at Seoyeon who was out of it. He heard the rate of her heartbeat carefully, noticing that there was nothing out of sort. It was said that humans are fragile and Jung Jwa would always find his time to hear her heart rate and confirm whether she was alright. "This is Han Seoyeon, I'm sure this is your first time meeting her."

Seoyeon's eyes shifted at him and her eyes questioning why he had to bring her back into the talk when she wished not to be there. With a smile, she greeted the vampiress who looked down at her with a judging look. Velarie took her time to peer at Seoyeon, the clothes she was wearing and her smile turned thin.

"Good afternoon, Missus, I am Han Seoyeon, Mister Jung's secretary. It's a pleasure to meet you." and when she looked up, she found how their friendly expression had changed. They were still smiling but she find they have stopped smiling at the same time.

"You are Jung Hwa's secretary? I never know you would bring her here. To the Associates." The vampiress commented before she pulled her smile, "It's good to see you two, Secretary. I'm Hwa's aunt, Valerie and my daughter, Barbara."

"Nice to meet you." Seoyeon said to the women and Barbara looked at her. After a while, Seoyeon smiled at her and the vampiress also smiled. Taking something from the table near them, Barbara passed a drink to Seoyeon's hand.

Seoyeon looked at the glass for a moment, inspecting the glass were filled with red blood liquid which was thick. From afar, blood could be seen similar to wine but when it was seen right in front of her eyes, the smell, and the red stain could make one nauseous to see the blood. Seoyeon was no different she was taken aback when the blood was offered but she didn't scream nor did her face went pale.

She only smiled and her eyes looked at Barbara who was smiling at her with a smug smile, "Do you find anything wrong with the blood, Miss Barbara?" asked Seoyeon with a look of an innocent.
