94 Battle Plan

" Yuki, you are an excellent person but you are as dimwitted as they come," Leopold said as he shook his head.

I was currently sitting in my dorm that had become more like a meeting room than a place to relax. I had just finished explaining to everyone how I had been tricked by the Crown Prince of Vance.

Maybe I just wanted to see the best in everyone but Leopold was right I really was a fool.

" What do all of you think I should do?" I said as I looked at my shoes.

" Put spiders in his socks," Ren said as he laughed.

" Wreck him in the guard battle!" Rosli said with an evil glint in her eyes.

" What you said is a given" Ki said as he looked at Rosli.

" Do any of you actually know anything about Crown Prince Romeo?" Nathan said as he shrugged.

" Not really, " Setsu said as she sighed.

" Yuki do you?" Loki said with his head tilted.

" He likes poetry, hates fish and likes causing Sora trouble," I said wearily.

" And he uses gossip and pretty words to trick his fellow students," Kibbles said telepathically.

Loki looked at Kibbles they both seemed to nod at each other before they started to laugh.

" Princess Rosli… Do you wish to help Yuki get some payback?" Loki said with his eyebrow raised.

" I am listening " Rosli responded.

Loki stood up walked to her side and whispered in her ear.

" What are you two talking about? " I said unsure of what to make of the situation.

Rosli was trying to keep a straight face as she was listening to Loki. Her face even flushed a shade of pink as if she had forgotten how to breathe.

" In..tresting idea," Rosli said as she nodded.

" Ki please come here a moment!" Rosli said as she beckoned my maid.

Ki raised her eyebrow before she walked over in steady steps and bowed down. The whispers had begun to drive everyone else a little crazy as they wanted to know what was being planned.

" You going to let the rest of us in?" Sestu said excitedly.

" Everyone else is welcome to know except Yuki. He is too delicate and would not agree to such a plan" Loki said he looked at me and smiled.

" It is an excellent plan," Ki said after a moment.

" I guess I should go for a walk" I knew I was going to be teased to no end if I stayed so I excused myself and let my friends who seemed more capable then I do the planning.

They all smiled and waved goodbye knowing that I wouldn't be offended I did cause problems to begin with. Just as I made it to my training area Ki, Loki and Ren followed me.

" We have a question, young master," Ki said politely.

" That is?" I said unsure of what was happening.

" The guard battles are they group battles or single? Do they allow overdrive abilities? Can we use our avatars?" Ren said excitedly.

" I guess you haven't learned about overdrive abilities yet. Hmm.. the easiest way to explain it is when we went into Tama forest and in order to save Ki you went out of control. With enough practice, you can harness a massive amount of power for a short period of time" Loki said in thought.

I looked down at my hand with the Lubu System inside and thought about the war system. Is that what it would be used for?

" Exactly," Loki said as if reading my mind.

" Do you all have avatars and overdrive abilities?" I said looking at Loki, Ki and Ren.

"We do," Ki said smiling.

" Can I see them?" I said excitedly.

" You can see them if we have to use them," Ren said as he shrugged.

" It is very tiring to use and both should only be used in emergencies. If you were to be attacked after we fell out of overdrive we would not be able to help much" Ki added as she looked around.

" Then in Tama forest?" I said unsure of what to make of the situation.

" As long as you are not in a complete emergency it is best not to use either. What if they had more guards in the Tama forest? We could have called a hoard of people and made things worse! You will learn about these things soon enough!" Ren said as he patted me on the shoulder.

" Is it correct to assume you do not know the duelling rules?" Ki said unsurely.

" Mm, I suggest you plan for anything" I replied promptly.

" Then Yuki you will have to train with us," Loki said bluntly.

" Why?" I said with more questions than answers.

"Vance has a competition on where the leader of the team will coordinate their troops like a miniature battleground. If Romeo is the type of jerk I think he is… this team style battle is definitely a possibility. " Ren said with his hand on his chin in thought.

" I see… but I only have theoretical knowledge" I said frowning.

" I am sure he is aware of that and will use it against you," Ki said and nodded.

" Don't worry Yuki we will help you and leave the payback to everyone else.. We are your friends' aren't we?" Ren said smiling as he held out his fist.

" Yeah.. we are friends," I said as I held mine out.

Ki held her fist out and Loki shrugged before he held his out.

" To victory!" Ren said smiling.

" To victory!" Everyone said in unison.

While the people inside were planning the so-called revenge Loki, Ki, Ren and myself all changed into our training clothes.

" We should start with tag teams I supposed," I said after I finished stretching.

" Great idea young master!" Ki said as she clapped excitedly.

I had always thought Ki was rather pretty but from an aesthetic standpoint her training uniform matched her the best. Her hair was tied back with a piece of leather and a cloth sweatband was on her. She looked in every way like a ninja. It seemed that she had trouble finding the correct fitting training uniform however because the chest region was to tight for her. Even I was unable to look away for a moment as she clapped like a school girl.

Ren, Loki and I were all shirtless wearing long training pants that were tied up near the ankle. I felt a little underwhelming in the looks department when I glanced over and saw them both and thought about wanting to put on a shirt.

Ren had tight abs, pale white skin and his white hair tied back in a messy bun. I hadn't really noticed how he had aged a little until seeing him now. His jaw had straightened out giving him a sporty look. I think back on earth he would have been the type to be good at every sport he touched and his body proved it. His red eyes were slightly crinkled due to laughing with Ki and I couldn't help smile.

Loki, on the other hand, looked like the Yin to Ren's yang. He was pale but his long dark hair was let loose down his body creating a handsome outline. If Ren looked like a sports star then Loki had more of a fragile beauty that would be seen on a catwalk. While Ren was the happy go lucky type, Loki was more cool-headed.

It was no wonder they had trouble getting along at first.

We had decided that it was going to be Ki and Loki verses Ren and me in the first practice match. We had taken our places apart from each other and decided that we would have a cup of teas time to plan.

" Do you know what we are going to do?" Ren said as he looked at me.

" I am not sure, to be honest" I replied.

" Well first think about their magic. Loki has light magic and Ki has water magic. How can you make use of your's and my magic to defeat them?" Ren asked trying to get me to lead.

" hmm I am guessing you and Loki would cancel each other out while Ki and I would have a draw?" I said thinking out loud.

Ren heard what I said before laughing and holding his belly.

" Sorry, Yuki... I think you are miss understanding Loki and I's Darkness and Light magic. Did you forget it is pure yin and yang energy… see observe." Ren said as he smiled before walking a little closer to Ki and Loki.

" Yo Loki! Throw some light magic at me!" Ren shouted.

Loki looked at me then at Ren and smiled.

Loki's eyes went pure white as he focused and a small ball of white magic energy was arranged in his hand before he threw it like a ball.

Ren then looked at the ball of light coming towards him and when it was halfway through his own dark magic at the ball of light.

What happened shocked me.

Instead of them cancelling each other out they melded together and burst into flames then exploded into water particles.

It was really amazing to watch like a firework that had been set off.

" What .. what just happened?!" I shouted over to Ren who was admiring his handiwork.

" Yin and Yang make up all elements. When the pure energies collide it creates an unstable fusion." Ren said as he was walked back and dusted his hands off.

" Pretty amazing right!" Ren said smiling.

" Mm very cool!" I said nodding.

" Cool?" Ren said confused.

[ Here we go again with the earth explanations ]

I looked up at Ren who was eager to hear my explanation and shook my head. It was going to be a long training session and I still had much to learn.
