79 Childs Play

I grabbed Loki hand while Kibbles jumped on his shoulder and rushed him downstairs out the back door and into my training ground.

I panted furiously while Loki looked on with amusement.

" Is there a reason you wanted to take me to such a quiet place?" Loki said as he winked.

" Young Master!" I heard women's shout from further near the estate.

" Yuki!" a more masculine call was heard.

Ren and Ki rushed up to my side as they eyed the long black haired boy with an eyebrow raised.

" Who is this young man? We saw you run away from the estate like it was burning down… Is everything okay? Did we perhaps interrupt something?" Ki said thinking out loud.

Ren looked at me and then at Loki and a bright red sheen eclipsed his face unsure of what to say.

" If Yuki and I were in THAT sort of relationship," Loki said as he wrapped his arms around me.

" I wouldn't let you two dumb dumbs even look at him!" Loki said and grinned.

" Yeah, Meowster! You tell them who is boss!" Kibbles said telepathically instantly picking sides.

My whole body involuntarily shook as I was not used to being touched so intimately. My cheeks flushed and I felt dizzy. Loki's hot breath was on my neck and I thought I was going to collapse while my eyes watered slightly.

" Please stop bullying the young master," Ki said as she grabbed my arm and separated us.

My vision returned but my heart wouldn't stop thumping. I knew that Loki was just being a jerk but the older me who never got to experience real love was still very nieve. I couldn't believe that I was being played around with like this and felt pretty angry.

My cheeks filled with air and I angrily stared at Loki.

Loki glanced at me briefly while I was gaining back my senses and laughed while wiping a tear from his eye.

He then stretched and did a perfect bow.

" I am Hidden Dagger one of Tama's secret guards. You two can call me Loki, I guess we will be comrades from now on" Loki said with a playful expression.

" Hidden guard? You? " Ren said unable to hide his scepticism.

" Want to taste my blades and find out?" Loki said as he reached into his robe.

" Now now don't bully children," Ki said with an eyebrow raised as she looked at Ren.

Ren looked at Loki and Loki stared back. I swore at that moment that sparks were flying.

" A child in stature but not in training. I could have you beaten with one finger" Loki said without so much as blinking.

[ This is bad ]

" Hey everyone please calm down," I said feeling the tension in the air.

" Yes, young master," Loki said in a light tone before saluting at me.

[ He is a really good actor ]

Ki merely bowed and Ren made a Tch sound with his tongue before cooling his head.

" I see," Ki said after a moment of thought.

Before I could even blick she throw a dagger from under her maid's outfit at Loki. Loki grinned and caught it between to fingers.

" Too slow," Loki said making sure each word bore into Ki's ears.

Loki walked up to my side and grabbed my hands.

" Young master, your fellows do not trust that I can protect you. Could you please allow me to prove my worth as your protector?" Loki said with puppy dog eyes to me.

I looked over at Ki and Ren who nodded approving of what Loki had said.

" As long as you all don't hurt each other," I said looking at everyone.

" Since there are two of you on the team I will take Kibble's," Loki said and smiled.

Kibbles brushed up on Loki as if he was made of his favourite food and I knew that I had been betrayed.

[ Hey don't steal Kibble's from me!!! ]

I sighed dejectely as I grabbed four leafy vines from one of the plants I was keeping on my training ground and handed them out.

" The rules are simple, grab the vine from the other person," I said as I pointed to where they should be attached.

Ki, Ren and Loki looked at me before nodding.

They all placed the vines on their waste before Loki fasted the vine around Kibbles's tail.

I willed the other plants to move slightly so they would get caught in the crossfire while I wondered what magic Loki would use here.

I took a few steps away from the training ring. I then sat down off to the side. I looked at Kibbles and Loki before staring at Ren and Ki.

" Match Start!" I said out loud.

They all began running at each other.

I watched as Ki threw a few daggers near Kibble's feet as Ren unsheathed his sword and aimed at Loki.

Loki's hair flew in the wind as he threw something I couldn't see. Everyone was using their movement techniques to avoid one another.

Since no one seemed to gain the upper hand magic was formed from each person. Ki started off with some water balls before Kibbles spat some fire at her.

The two magics were equal and turned into steam.

Ren too this moment to dash at Loki using the steam as a cover before using his darkness magic to blur his body.

" Childs play!" Loki said as his body glowed with a pure white blinding everyone. It was as if he was a lighthouse created near the ocean, showing sailors where the rocks were.

" Light magic?" I mumbled.

It was at that moment that Loki used a movement technique I had never seen before. His body looked so light that a mear gust of wind would blow him away as he grabbed Ren's then Ki's vines.

" I win," he said as if losing was never an option.

Ki, Ren and Kibbles opened their eyes before looking at Loki.

Loki ignored them and walked straight up to me before he presented the vines as if they were trophies.

" Do I win a prize?" Loki said as he bowed on one knee.

" PRIZE YOUR FOOT!" I said as I kicked him.

" hahah your foot is an excellent prize," Loki said as his eyes shone like galaxies.

I moved my eyes away as soon as I noticed remembering what happened with the Lubu system upgrade and shivered.

" Right, Loki won." I said flatly.

" My apologies," Ki said and bowed towards Loki.

" I shouldn't have doubted you," Ren said with his teeth gnashing.

" No need for your apologies. You are already forgiven. Would you be so kind as to show me where my room is? Old man Reo just too me directly to young master Yuki after we met" Loki said as if nothing had happened.

" I see, right this way" Ki said as she looked over in my direction with a complicated stare.

Loki and Ki took one last look at me before they saluted and left, leaving Kibbles, Ren and I alone.

Ren plopped down on the ground in the middle on the training ground and spread out like a kid making snow angels.

" Just who does that twerp think he is?" Ren aid out loud.

I walked over to Ren and plopped down next to him.

" You two will get used to him soon enough," I said unsure of what to say.

" He shouldn't tease you like that" Ren said as he rolled to his side and looked at me.

I looked over at Ren with my head cocked to the side.

" I may not get a lot of things, but I.. I mean both Ki and I decided that we just want you to be happy. Those half-assed displays of flattery Loki gave you made me angry." Ren said before looking away embarrassed.

" What do you mean?" I said confused.

" I mean if you want a to be with a man..over women. That man better treat you like a king. You got that Yuki?" Ren said determinedly.

I was honestly unsure of what to say as I looked over at Ren who was avoiding my gaze.

" Did you just say You and Ki?" I said changing the subject.

" YUKI!" Ren said as he lightly tapped my head.

" I am still waiting on my godchildren," I said teasing.

Ren stood up and went to kick me before I dodged. I teased him mercilessly as he chased me around the training ground with a bright red face.

And so came the end of the day and the start of a brand new adventure into my second attempt at high school.
