Ki was still quite nimble even though she had Ren on her back. She jumped forward and threw a water ball blade right at the assassin catching them unaware.

The whole scene could only be described as complete chaos. I glanced across at Sora who was fighting Haia once more time and ran through the fighting crowd behind Ki.

There were a few stray blades that I had either dodged or knocked away. Kibbles at some point had jumped on my shoulder to aim a few fireballs behind me to make sure I wasn't surprised and we finally made it out of the alleyway.

We walked into the throngs of people that were on the main road and Ki used her cloak to cover Ren to try and make us less suspicious. We pushed through the crowd for a while before we made it to an alleyway on the opposite side of the battle we had just fought.

I looked down at the blade that Ren and given me that was wrapped in my holster and frowned.

" Young Master we have to get out of town. They will be looking for us. Those bandits were too injured to hold them off for long. I am surprised that they lasted that long" Ki said as she looked at Ren.

" What are be going to do about Ren?" I said as I watched Ki undress Rens shoulder plate.

She looked over his wound and clicked her tongue.

" Cantrella poison, see this lines write here? It is definitely Cantrella. It won't kill him right away but he will get very sick if it is not treated soon." Ki said as she recovered his shoulder.

I couldn't believe how calm Ki could be in such a horrible situation. We heard footsteps racing around and we knew that we were being looked for. Ki quietly covered her wounds and then took something out of her bag and sprayed me, then Ren and finally herself.

" This will stop them from being able to follow us with snout beasts. There is a safe place not to far from here we will stay there the night and get Ren treated before heading back to the estate" Ki said quietly.

" I can't! I have to find my father!" I said in reply.

" I know this is difficult young master, but please do not be selfish. Ren is very sick we have to get him back and report what has happened." Ki said as she looked at me disappointedly.

[ I didn't ask you both to follow me ]

If it wasn't for Ki and Ren I would probably be dead right now. I looked at the people passing on the street and decided I would try again once I had gotten settled into school. I looked at Ki and nodded my head.

She smiled in return.

" Thank you, young master," Ki said as she petted my head.

Her hand feels very warm.

" Ki, I have decided that if you and Ren decide to get married I will give my blessings," I said as I looked down and Ren that was curled in her lap.

Ki had flushed bright red as she realised exactly how Ren was sleeping on her. He was using her breasts as a pillow.

" Young master do not joke like this!" Ki huffed as she gently stood up and picked up Ren.

She signalled with her hand for me to follow her as she jumped on some barrels and headed for the rooftop. Kibbles had jumped on my shoulder and we began to follow her.

I was not as agile as her even when she had Ren but I managed to keep up.

We jumped from rooftop to rooftop.

From what I could see there was a massive building coming into view. It took me a few moments to realise where we were going but when I finally understood it struck me as genius.

Sato Blooms Auction house was written in massive bold letters in front of a grand building that just screamed wealth. We ducked around and dodged the main entrance before jumping through one of the windows that were open on the second floor.

I looked around to see that no one was using this room. Ki straightened up and nodded before straightening her clothes and taking a badge from her holster.

The badge had my families coat of arms on at it as well as some fancy lettering that said " For the Emperor"

I guessed that it was a way of saying that we were from the Aikyo family. Since the Sato family own this auction house they would most likely help us. Ki had thought very quickly and I realised just how smart she was.

[ It is a waste for Ki to be stuck as a maid]

I sighed and looked over at Ki.

" Wait here a moment, I need to visit a friend," Ki said as she left Ren in my arms. He was warm to the touch and sweating quite badly. His pale cheeks were bright red and he was in a lot of pain.

I gently moved his hair out of his face used my sleeve to wipe off the sweat.

" We will get you fixed up really soon, hang in there Ren," I said before looking around in the empty room.

Kibbles walked up to Ren and licked his face. I looked over at Kibbles and smiled.

" Do you think he will be okay?" Kibbles responded.

" Mm I think so, Ki is pretty smart" I replied quietly.

" Are you sure you want to turn back, you know exactly what is waiting for you" Kibbles questioned as he jumped on Ren and looked at me.

" Of course I don't want to go back but I do not what Ren or Ki to be in danger either," I said quietly.

" So you will sacrifice your happiness for theirs?" Kibbles said as he looked at Ren.

" mm If Ki and Ren can live happily ever after then at least someone will. " I said a sinking feeling welled inside my stomach.

Kibbles swiped at Ren's face with an open paw.

Puff!

He hadn't used his claws but Rens faced wobbled slightly. Ren was still out cold, however, even with the provocation.

" What was that for?!" I gasped as I looked at Kibbles.

" You may be okay with it, but I am not. I was made to help you find happiness." Kibbles replied as he stepped on Ren and approached my side.

" I see, I am glad you didn't hurt him. Thank you Kibbles" I replied as I looked at Ren's face again.

Suddenly the door opened wide and Ki followed by two security guards had come. The guards walked forwards and saluted before picking up Ren from my arms.

I looked over at Ki who nodded.

" These are Sato people. He will be fine." Ki said quickly as she held out her hand to help me up.

" What do we do now?" I said as I stood up still carrying my bag. I looked at my clothing that had been shredded and covered in blood. Then I looked at Ki who was much worse off and finally at Ren who was leaving.

The mission really did fail badly.

" We will meet with the Sato family branch members later. Ru Wen after he has made arrangements for Ren. Please follow me, they have found some rooms to accommodate us" Ki said as she walked forward.

" Ru Wen?" I said as I followed behind.

" He is the caretaker of this establishment. He manages it for the Sato clan. He is also a childhood friend of mine" Ki said and giggled.

[ Childhood friend?!]

" Did you grow up in Nova?" I said following behind Ki.

" Really want to know?" Ki said as she winked at me.

" Why do I feel like I am going to die if you tell me?" I said as I looked at Ki.

" Because you probably will young master Aikyo" A young man from behind us said and belly laughed.

It looked like a shiver had shot up Ki's spine. I turned to look behind me. There was a tall yet slim man wearing glasses and wearing a grand looking Yukata. He had short black hair and stern eyes. He was grinning with perfectly white teeth.

Ki gave him a vicious smile before she bowed politely. " Mr Wen, thank you for taking us in at such short notice"

[ Is she pretending to not know him? Just what relationship do they have exactly?! ]

" Young Master, I am sorry for being delayed in welcoming you. I have to organise some medicine for your guard. Kiki when I was told you were here my heart was sent aflutter!" Wen at first sounded polite but became perverse as soon as Ki was mentioned.

[ I don't like this guy]

" There is no problem at all Mr Ru Wen. In our time of need, you have helped us and we are grateful to this auction house and yourself, however, I would ask that you do not tease my maid while I am here. We have a very close relationship" I said as I bowed perfectly.

Ki looked at me and realised what I was implying and played along. She blushed and hid her face away.

Ru looked down at me disgust flashed on his face for a moment before he was all smiles once again.

" You have very good taste Yuki Aikyo. I apologise I would not act so friendly in future." Ru said as he glanced up at Ki.

[ Better not. I can't stand harassers! ]

" Follow me I will personally take you to your room," Ru said before gesturing us to follow.

We walked past walls that held more wealth then I am guessing the Sato family knew what to do with. They were lined with ancient paintings, scrolls with famous poems that were drawn on precious papers and even the flooring had all been hand carved.

There were a few open rooms that I peeked into as we walked. There were open spaces that I guessed would be used when the auctions started. Wen had taken this opportunity to tell me about when this branch of the Sato family auction house opened.

He had also carefully explained each painting on the wall as well as generally given a sale pitch for the place. After walking for long enough to make my feet tired we finally arrived at a big set of double doors.

Wen pushed them open and the biggest most lavish bedroom I had ever seen appeared in front of me. My eyes popped open when I say how many precious stones had been used in everything from the side panels on the bed to the chandelier that hung on the ceiling.

" This is the royal room since you are an honoured guest please rest here for a while. There is a second door on your left" Wen paused before he pointed at the door.

" for your servants. I will have dinner sent to your room before we talk about your next steps," Wen said before he watched my utter shock and stifled a laugh.

" I will also have some clothes delivered, there is already some hot baths waiting and a doctor to look at Kiki." Ru said and fixed his robes.

" Well then, I have some business so please excuse me," Ru said before he bowed and left.
