But all good things come to an end. It was the next morning, when I opened my eyes I knew something was about to go down.

Loki was asleep, his arms curled around me, holding me to his chest.

I felt an icy hand on my shoulder.

"He's been put to sleep and will awake in minutes, now get out.'' Laufey stood over me, his freezing hand burning my shoulder.

"Can I at least say goodbye?" I asked.

"No.'' His tone was cold.

I pressed my lips against his forehead.

"Enough, now out.'' Laufey grabbed me by my arm and dragged me  out.

Ice spread throughout my body, throwing me into a cold sleep.

When I woke Ingrid was in my arms.

She stirred as if she sensed my  awakening.

"Morning.'' She whispered her voice had a slight touch of cold to it.

"Ingrid, you sound different. Are you feeling okay?" I quizzed.

"Yeah I'm fine, just feeling a bit off.'' She smiled gently.

A metallic sound rung throughout the cells.

"Rise and shine, my prisoners.'' A frost giant's voice echoed around us.

The door opened and four giants stood.

"Everybody out or face certain death.''

Ingrid shot straight up, I followed suit.

"Now get out!"

Ingrid grabbed my hand and rushed out. Her hand was rather cold.

"Ingrid,'' I whispered to her, "your hand is freezing.''

She retracted her hand and smiled at me.

The frost giants reached up and blind folded us, and pushed us  forward.

The air got cooler, then snow started to fall upon my head.

"Where are you taking us?" I quizzed.

"We have no use of you, so we'll let you endure your last hours on Midgard.''

"How generous.'' I muttered.

When I woke I was on an operating table. A plain white dress was all that was on me.

"Holy guacamole where the hell am I?" I demanded to no-one in-particular.

"You are Experiment Number One.''

"Yay, 'cause I always wanted to be named Experiment Number One.'' I murmured.

"You should feel honoured Ingrid, you can be first of a new super-breed.''

"And that breed would be?"

"Half Midgard, half Jotunheim.''

I rolled my eyes, "Wow I'm so honoured.''

The voice chuckled, "As you should be.''

A frost giant approached the table holding a needle.

"Now I won't lie, but this will hurt.''

I let out a cry of pain as the needle entered my right arm.

Finally I freed my left wrist and ripped the needle out of my arm and stabbed it into the frost giants neck.

They removed our blindfolds and shoved us into the snow.

"By the way you have a minute to get away otherwise you die.''

''Ingrid, we need to run.'' I tugged her arm.

"No, Loki I can't.''

I walked up to her, "Why not?"

"I-I just can't.''

"Ingrid ple-''

"Just go.'' She pleaded.

"No.''

She pushed me  down into the snow.

Suddenly she gasped. Ice  spread from her chest, and infested her entire body.

"No!" I screamed.

Then like a diamond hitting the ground, she shattered.

***Ingrid's P.O.V***

I released myself from my bonds and ran to the door. Surprisingly it was unlocked. It opened to an opened hall.

I chose to run right, following the path of the windows. I heard thundering footsteps behind me.

I ran right, then bashed into a window, shattering it and falling through it.

Glass cut at my skin as I fell, the dress whipped around my head.

I let out a scream as I started to spin mid-air.

I hit the snow with a heavy 'thump'.
