307 Hello Message

"Open the door." Ailwin ordered Ruven.

"I don't have the passcode...why don't we wait until she comes bac-"

*Bam!**Crunch*

Ailwin hit the passcode lock beside the door, ripping the outer casting off of the wall; twisting wires together, the door opened to a stunned shitless Ruven.

Entering and looking around the living space, Ailwin eyebrows furrowed.

"This…" Ruven had joined him inside and couldn't believe what he saw.

The entirely living space was empty. There were no chairs, bed, clothes, food...nothing.

The last time Ruven was invited inside this room, he remembers the space being totally decorated from ceiling to floor. Everything was filled with stuff.

"You sure this is the room?" Ruven jumped at Ailwin sharp stare.

"Y-yes! I swear it… T-this is the room!" Ruven might not have been the brightest advisor in Rowood City, but he knew when something was not right and the mysterious disappearance of an advisor is one of them.

"What is his name?"

"Who?"

"The advisor who is supposed to be in this room!" Ailwin was quickly losing his temper with all the stress he was currently feeling.

"I-it's not a he, it's a she…..her name is Gwynnestri."

She?...Gwynnestri? Where have I heard of that name before?

Ailwin couldn't recall where he heard of that namr before, no matter how hard he thought on it the information eluded him.

"Get me everything you have on this Gwynnestri, now."

"Yes, sir."

Ruven ran out of the room, eager to be away from the fuming prince. Ailwin watched as Ruven rushed out the door before investigating the room by himself.

He wanted to make sure he didn't miss any clues that might have been left behind that can tell him about why the King was here.

During this whole mission, Ailwin had a constant feeling that something was amiss. He just couldn't place it. Rubbing the back of his neck, Ailwin stood there thinking of everything that has happened since receiving the King's orders.

What the hell is this nagging feeling? What am I missing?

Eventually he had to give up the search, there was nothing in the room but bare walls and floors. Ailwin sucked his teeth and turned off the light before leaving the room.

When the door close behind him and all the light was gone from the room, a faint light appeared on a wall. A crudely drawn glowing smiley face was on the wall opposite of the door.

Ailwin had missed Gwynnestri's greeting for him.

Unaware of the secret message, Ailwin stood in middle of the empty hallway with nothing to do for the moment. Thinking to rest for a bit before Braeden gets back with the new panel board, he walked back towards Governor Kelim's office.

Outside, the soldiers Braeden and Ailwin brought with them off air carrier were standing outside Bizana clan's estate. Having warned them about the foul smell and the sight of Lord Elre's body. Everyone already came prepared with mask and gloves covering their faces and hands.

When they arrived at the estate, the soldiers all thought General Gilwenys was overreacting on his description of the smell from this place. Yet, immediately after they entered the household they all  had the same reaction. Like Braeden they ran back outside the front door.

"General! What is that!?" They couldn't believe that this was the smell of a sick person.

They have all smelt death before many times on the battle field, but this odor coming from a living person smelt worst than death. They wouldn't have believed it if they weren't here experiencing it.

"Quiet. I have already warned you of what to expect. Now get on with the mission." Braeden responded indifferently.

"...but…"

"….but what?"

"How come you're the only one who get to stay outside the gate, General?" All the men looked back at their fierce General, who was staying inside the land rover outside the front gate to the estate with the windows tightly rolled up and binoculars in his hands.

"...Someone has to hold base."

When has a land rover ever been headquarters!?

They never wouldn't have thought they'll see the day of their mighty General hiding in a land rover.

"Hurry up! We don't have all day, the sun is already going down. Stop being wusses."

"Boo...booo…" The men couldn't hold back their injustice and booed Braeden on the comms.

"Shut up, this is your General talking! Get in there now and get the panel board, that is an order!"

Unable to say anything back to their commanding officer, the soldiers were left with no other option but to grumble underneath their breaths about Braeden's shameless behavior and reenter the house.

"Heh...suckers…." Braeden smirked when he heard they're mumbles coming in on the comms.
