Chapter 138 - A Delusional Psychopath (1)

The estimated time for them to arrive back at the country was about 3 hours. So a lot of people wanted to take a stroll around the ship one last time and also take some pictures.

Joreen had been too occupied with a lot of things including trying to 'woo' Hoy so she didn't take much pictures and hadn't updated her social media page in a while.

"I'll be back after an hour or more." She told Reen before leaving the room while Reen called after her, advising her to be careful.

There were also a lot of people taking pictures in every corner. A couple even pleaded with her to take one of them. After handing them back their phones and they thanked her, she turned to continue walking when she noticed someone looking at her.

It was the blue haired boy, Long Lijun.

When she locked eyes with him, he smiled at her and approached.

"Hi!" He greeted.

"Hi" Joreen greeted back awkwardly.

"I understand. You may hate me now. But I am sorry about what my cousin did to you. I heard from my uncle and aunt. When I told you to be careful with her earlier, I didn't realise she had already done something to hurt you—"

"It's fine." She shook her head. "You warned me about her. I don't blame you for anything. Just because you are related to her doesn't mean you are a part of what she did or would be punished for her crimes."

"I just wanted to apologize. I didn't know how you would perceive the whole thing but I am glad you aren't perceiving it the way I assumed. I really wanted to be just friends since you are cool and you know... a celebrity." He added the last part with a wink.

She laughed. "You are a gold digger?"

"Celebrity digger." He corrected with a laugh before he turned serious,

"Look... if you really plan to punish sister Xi, you all should go ahead. Don't hesitate because I am nice to you. She deserves every single thing."

"You must really dislike her?" She asked curiously.

"Not really. I can't say I dislike her. But I think it's time someone taught her a lesson and make her understand the world doesn't revolve around her. She is used to acting like a spoilt brat and making everyone uncomfortable."

Joreen nodded. Left for her, she would let it all go. But her family was handling everything. It hadn't just affected her but also Hoy and the entire family.

They both began to stroll and he offered to help her take a few pictures of her with her phone, when she told him she was out to look around one last time and keep the memories.

Soon, they both exchanged taking each other pictures. Joreen was enjoying herself a lot since she wasn't used to having good friends she could just stroll around with and laugh with except Reen and her assistant.

"So how did it go with him?"

"With whom?" She asked in confusion.

"HIM. The HIM in your life who dragged you away from me because he was jealous." He said with a smirk, laying emphasis on every word.

Joreen blushed and looked around. "Well... nothing... much happened." She lied. Since this wasn't going to be official soon especially considering the fact that he was related to the Long family, she had to keep it away from him.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I can understand your reasons. I just hope you'll be happy."

She liked how really understanding he was. Thank God he wasn't pushing her to say more.

"Thanks."

They exchanged numbers and talked a little more before his phone began to ring. When he saw the caller, he smiled. "Boyfriend calling. See you later."

"Oka— huh?" Joreen asked, a little surprised.

He laughed and shrugged. "Don't tell anyone." He pressed his index finger to his lips and with a final wink, he walked away.

As he walked farther away, she could hear him say, "... you are going to freeze to death if you wait out there. We won't be arriving until the next two hours or so. Get the hell out of there!....."

His voice eventually faded with each step he took.

Joreen smiled at his back. She really hoped they were going to be good friends.

She walked a bit more around the 4th floor where the gym room and some other rooms was located. This place was isolated with no one in sight so she turned around to leave when all of a sudden, someone grabbed her wrist. She didn't know what was happening until she was forcefully dragged inside the nearest room and the door was locked.

She immediately panicked as she tried to see who it was.

"Hey!"

It was Kyle, who smiled boyishly at her.

Taking her by surprise again, he suddenly hugged her, enveloping her small figure with his tall frame.

"What are you doing?" She asked in panic as she tried to push him away. He was too strong for her but thankfully, he eventually let go of her and looked at her in confusion.

"What's wrong baby?"

"B...aby? Are you crazy? Why did you pull me in here!" She shrieked and turned to leave but he pulled her back and stood between her and the door.

Everything was making her both scared, nervous and uncomfortable. The room wasn't very large but it was filled with bleach, disinfectants and soaps. The smell made her want to throw up.

"What is the meaning of this?" He asked with irritation in his voice. "Are you mad at me about something?"

"Kyle! This isn't funny!" She glared at him. "How can you just pull me in here and refuse to let me leave?"

"Are you playing hard to get right now?" He asked in a mocking tone.

"What... are you talking about?" She asked in both confusion and irritation.

"Look... I understand you are angry with me about everything. What that stupid waiter said was a lie. I had nothing to do with any employee here. Why I delayed this much was because of Reen. I didn't want you to get into trouble with her so I had to wait. But what do you think you are doing hanging around that Hoy guy or whatever his name is? Do you like him?" He looked furious as he asked.

Joreen had never been more confused in her life. What was he talking about right now?
