Chapter 192: Lion King

In the cold weather and on the damp ground, the group stumbled and peered through the bushes and wilds of the Green Forest. Their clothes had been torn from many places, as they walked through and between the narrow nooks and crannies of the jungle. The trees were densely packed and sharp and thorny, ripping their clothes bit by bit from their bodies. Now and then the thorns would dig into their flesh, and drops of blood would paint their ragged clothes.

It was hard to find a wide open space in between the forest, and if they found one, another magical beast would have already captured it, and to get the ownership of the place, they would kill the beast and rest at the place every while.

As they moved deeper into the forest, the jungle became even more deadly, as the encounter with beasts became more frequent. Since now everyone has fought at least a battle with these wild and vicious monsters. No one wanted to stay behind and initiated by themselves when facing the beasts. Only Leafwhisk was the one who had yet to fight. She was lost somewhere else—in the world of medicines; she had found in the jungle—there were many precious medicines hidden in the jungle, and to Leafwhisk, these herbs were like precious jewellery to any woman.

She had no interest in fighting with the magical beasts. In front of herbs, she completely disregarded them and let everyone else solve those nuisances on their own. From time to time she would ask Akash or Ifre's assistance.

She would also teach them the use of some herbs, making them grin from ear to ear in delight—while Ayaan's face turned green with envy, he also wanted to learn a high-level potion making—he was a low-level potion maker after all, and the first stage was to know herbs. However, no one was there to teach him, and as for Leafwhisk… she won't teach him—she wanted him to focus on his fighting skills and on cultivation. No distraction was allowed, and potion making was nothing but a distraction to Ayaan in her eyes.

The group travelled through the jungle and ate and camped all the while through their journey. Time to time they would stop and hunt a prey, not tiger or bear, but bull or deer or another such animal, as their meat was more delicious, and in this vast Green Forest, there was no lack of such animals.

Though the strange thing was that—they had yet to encounter Heaven Rank Beasts. Whenever any beast attacked them, it turned out to be a King Beast that made Ayaan to arc his brows. Didn't rumor say that Heaven Beasts roamed in this forest and ruled like kings? Where are they now? Ayaan looked around to find even more shrubs and bushes and shook his head. He would see them when they showed up, anyway; and if they don't show up, it would be even better.

While Ayaan's group walked through the jungle, inside the same forest, a group of vicious and domineering looking magical beasts gathered. However, their eyes glittered like no other beasts, Ayaan or his group encountered till now—they were Heaven Rank, and they were five!

At the center sat a Lion—the place it sat was little protruded towards the sky, making the Lion's body at a higher level than the other beasts. Either sides of the Lion were a Wolf and an App, beside the App sat Bear, and with Wolf sat a Fox.

"Boss, are we really letting them pass just like that?" It was Wolf who broke the silence. "It is our territory. How dare those humans pass our territory so casually?!"

"Yes, boss, we should just kill those disgusting humans." A sexy voice of the Fox sounded, and it was completely talking in wolf's favour.

"Woman, I know Wolf King is warming your bed," the App who was silent all this time spoke in his dignified voice. "But you better not speak in this matter if you don't have any idea what is going on."

"Bed, what bed? He must have ravaged her on the dried leaves." Bear also took the advantage of the situation and mocked Fox while winking at her with very human-like emotions.

"You…!" The Fox was on the verge of losing control when she heard two of them mocking her so savagely.

"App King, you better shut your fucking mouth!" shouted Wolf King, glaring at App King with red eyes. "What we do that is our private matter."

"No shame, you used to scream about the purity of blood and now you are fucking lady from the other race." The App mocked. "What was that human's saying… ahh… yes, white skin makes one go wild and lose sense. No wonder this seductress seduced you." He stopped and looked lecherously at the Fox. "However, I wonder if Wolf King could satisfy you with his tiny peepee? You can come to use in the darkness of night some time if you feel lonely."

"Roar!"

Suddenly the Wolf King sprang up and looked at App King with rage and growled furiously. "That's enough!" However, before he could vent his anger, a more dignified voice sounded and his growls turned into mews. Others also shut their mouths, not daring to speak anything further.

"I have decided, no one would hinder those humans." The Lion opened his dignified golden eyes and said in a domineering and commanding tone. "You understand?"

"But…" The Wolf felt dissatisfied with this decision.

"If you have a death wish, then go ahead, but I won't accompany you in death." The Lion said, showing no anger. "However, let me tell you, I have sent quite a few King Beasts, and they killed them as if they were nothing but toys. I have also observed them from a distance, but even then I felt pressure. It is good that they didn't notice me."

After speaking to this point, the Lion King fell silent and closed its eyes once more. While Wolf King stood in the same place with a wooden expression, even App King was jolted after hearing Lion King's words. Who was the Lion King? He was at the Peak of Heaven Rank!
