Chapter 104: God?

"Are you alright?" Nolan looked at the man worriedly.

"I— cough!" The man tried to speak but only blood came out of his mouth, drowning his face in red liquid.

"Don't speak!" Nolan said hurriedly, trying to stop the man from speaking.

However, the man just smiled when he saw the worried look on the boy's face. He was completely stranger, but this boy still showed such a concerned look, his heart must be very kind.

After that, a determined expression appeared on the man's face. He flicked his hand, using his remaining strength. He took out an egg-sized white stone from his space ring.

"Th-this is a sup-supreme treasure. Even gods would covet if they knew of its existence. Never tell anyone about its existence—" before the man could finish his sentence. The egg-sized stone started to shine in his hand and flew directly towards Nolan.

A shocked look emerged on the man's face, at this strange development. He had tried thousands of methods to subdue this stone but he failed every time miserably, even injured himself a few times.

At last, people found out about the existence of the stone and ambushed him. That was the reason he was in this condition. However, right now, a mortal boy could easily get a treasure without any effort. The man felt extremely tired at this moment.

Eventually, the white light covered Nolan's entire body — Nolan had closed his eyes and saw his every cell was evolving at this moment with a rapid pace.

When the man could get over with his shock, he laughed uproariously, "Hahaha! Fate is such a bitch. They say every treasure has its rightful owner. I never believed in it, however, now I have to believe it — cough cough."

The man coughed even more blood but there was still a smile hung at the corner of his mouth.

After five minutes later, Nolan opened his eyes, one eye had turned dark, releasing a sense of death while another was shining with green light full of life.

"That's it?" The man looked at Nolan with a gobsmacked face. He couldn't believe that the treasure which even gods coveted was refined just like that by a mere brat in the mortal realm.

"You are very fortunate, young man," as he said that he again flicked his finger and pagoda appeared in his hand, "Though I don't know anything about that egg, I know about this pagoda. It is my strongest treasure by using this treasure you can easily dominate this mortal realm if you were able to survive that is—"

Suddenly, the man stopped speaking, his eyes still wide open. However, the trace of life had already left his body.

The man's pagoda shined and went inside Nolan's body, assimilating in just a breath with his body. After the pagoda left the body of the man, his body slowly started to wither. In just a few seconds, the entire corpse turned into nothing but dirt.

When the gust of the wind passed, all the dirt spread in the surrounding.

However, what happened in the next second shocked Nolan to his core. The ordinary grass in the surrounding became a spirit grass. The trees evolved; every vegetation in the forest changed.

Furthermore, it was just an instant evolution; who knew how much the forest would evolve after some time.

"Oh shit! I need to get out of here!" Nolan cursed suddenly. The evolution of the forest would definitely shock higher-ups of the clan. If they suspected him somehow, that would be a really bad thing.

Without dwelling, he dashed towards the other side of the forest. As he dashed away he realized that the forest's evolution in this area wasn't that strong. However, this part of the forest was also evolving, though slowly, it was an only matter of time before an entire forest would evolve.

"Who was that man? Dammit, even the remains of his body are so powerful, evolving the entire forest. Was he a god or something?" as he thought, he shook his head. Though there were stories about gods. No one ever saw any god in this world. It was a myth, nothing else.

"God or not, he was really powerful," Nolan said with his shining eyes, longing for strength could be seen in his eyes.

"However, that man said even gods would covet the egg-like stone he has given me. I don't know what he wanted to say. Are there really gods in this world?" he shook his head, not lingering on the issue of the gods. He found an empty cave and sat inside it before analysing the treasure inside his body.

Immediately, he saw an egg-like stone was flying above his consciousness. It was continuously releasing dark black energy full of death and a green full of life. Two opposite energies were coexisting together without any trouble; it was an unbelievable thing.

At the other side of the consciousness was a pagoda, shining with a gentle white light.

Without wasting any time, he used his energy to probe the stone in his consciousness. Though the man was at the death door and people say that a dying man never lies, humans are strange creatures; so Nolan thought it would be better to probe these treasures first. He wanted to see what they were.

However, when his energy reached the stone, it was sucked inside the stone. Not only his energy but even his consciousness was dragged by the stone. Thereafter, he appeared in front of a vast mountain — mountain full of swords!

Nolan sucked a cold breath when he saw a majestic mountain of swords. Millions of swords could be seen standing tall on the mountain.

Immediately, Nolan felt increased in the comprehension of his swords; after he realised that he could increase his comprehension of sword Dao, he became thrilled and fully focused his attention on the mountain of swords.

"Argh!" immediately he felt as if a sword was trying to hack his consciousness with a sword and fell backwards on his butt. His entire body drenched in a cold sweat and stopped his comprehension promptly.

"I was too greedy and rash. I tried to comprehend everything in a single breath..sigh," Nolan sighed when he realised his mistake and focused on a single sword.
