Chapter 488 I'sm A Married Woman

Name:Happy Together Author:Vegetable
Rachel woke up early and washed up in the bathroom. Hiram returned from his morning run and came into the bedroom to change into his work clothes.

Hearing the sound outside the bathroom, Rachel stuck her head out. "Honey? Mom called just now. She asked you to drive the kids to their house when you go to work. She wants them for two days..."

"All right," Hiram said as he stood in front of the mirror, tidying up his shirt.

He was already neatly dressed in his suit when Rachel came out of the bathroom. He slipped on his Rolex before walking toward the door to leave.

But as he reached the bedroom door, he suddenly sensed a gaze from behind him. He jerked his head around and was surprised to see that Rachel had already reached him. In a split second, she tiptoed and kissed him on his cheek.

"What? You don't want me to leave for work?" Hiram smiled and tenderly caressed her face, bare of makeup.

Rachel wrapped her arms around his waist, rested her face on his chest and asked, "Honey, will you still love me when I turn old and gray?"

Hiram hugged her tightly, gazed into her eyes and asked back, "I'm a few years older than you. So will you stop loving me when I'm old?"

Her eyes were locked with his. Rachel shook her head and replied, "Of course I won't. But women always get old faster than men do. I'm afraid that I will become a stooped old woman with wrinkles all over my face..."

No matter how she tried to keep fit, she couldn't preserve her youth forever. Age would begin to leave its traces on her face.

"Why are you suddenly afraid of aging?" Hiram asked as he massaged her face. "I am looking forward to the day when we are old. Then I can take you to travel around the world. I can hand over the whole company to our kids and I won't need to be so busy everyday!"

Sometimes, Hiram wished he'd had a brother to share the company business with, so he wouldn't be so busy and tired. He would've been able to spend more time with Rachel and the kids.

Rachel felt moved by his words. She nuzzled her head against his chest and said with a warm smile, "That day will come very soon. Maybe we just need to wait for twenty years. Our son and daughter will be grown up then."

Hiram chuckled and said, "No, we don't have to wait twenty years. You know what? I began to learn and take over my father's business when I was sixteen, and by eighteen, I had been able to deal with all the business affairs by myself. So we just need to wait for fifteen years at most."

After a pause, Hiram said in a reassuring tone, "Yes, just fifteen years. Honey, we won't be that much older in fifteen years, and we'll still be healthy enough to travel around the world.

I'll start training Jonny earlier, so I'm sure he's capable enough to take over as soon as possible."

But Rachel was shocked and speechless now. 'What a cruel

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.

Molly, who wants to run away from Brian, seems to be the only one to blame for Hannah's misfortune...

n her arm and said, "Rachel, we're both adults. Let bygones be bygones. Why do you dwell on the past?"

He continued, "What's more, as far as I know, Mr. Rong treats you the same as before. Can't you just forgive me?"

Rachel's anger rose with each of his words. How could she possibly forgive him? He had deliberately set a trap for her.

Marcus moved closer to her and held on to her waist with one arm. "Rachel, please forgive me, could you? I promise I won't do such a stupid thing anymore," he said in an apologetic tone.

"No, let go of me," Rachel yelled and tried to pull his arm away.

Instead of letting go, he grabbed hold of her struggling arms with his other arm and said, "Calm down and listen to me. I won't side with Flora anymore. I did promise her I'd help her once, so I felt obligated when she begged me to help with her plan.

I never wanted to hurt you!"

Rachel went silent. Now her theory proved to be correct. It was indeed Flora who had set a trap for her, trying to separate her from Hiram.

"I know you have a husband who loves you very much. You don't care about any other man. But... I can't control my feelings for you. I'm beginning to realize I might have fallen in love with you," Marcus slowly confessed.

His black eyes stared at Rachel, who was struggling more fiercely after his confession. "Please don't get angry! Calm down.

I'm not going to do anything to you. Take it easy. I won't do anything to you," Marcus said, trying to reassure her.

Bewildered, Rachel vigorously shook her head and said, "Marcus, please, please. Don't fall in love with me! I have nothing good in me! I'm a married woman, and I've already given birth to two babies. Please don't waste your time on me!"

She was growing worried and frightened. She had hurt Daniel's heart, and Patrick finally had stopped pestering her, but now, Marcus was falling in love with her?!
