"Let me drop you home."

Jairus requested leaving the ice cream parlour with her.

"Uumm...no need I can go. I'll take a cab."

With her arm slipped into his she replied him softly.

"Well you'd take advantage of your rich boyfriend !"

Jairus reminded her with a chuckle.

"I'm not that type SIR."

She stressed while pouting like a child.

"I know I know. That's why you're different. I mean you're quite different from others, I wonder if you're a human !"

Walking towards the parking area Jairus teased her but that sentence caught Agnes off guard. She blankly starred at him. With fear visible in her eyes.

"What happened ?"

"Wh-what do you mean by Not human ?"

Agnes held his arm tight as if her 'not so little' secret was out. She felt fear__fear of losing him.

"Oh my love, I was kidding. Relax I was just teasing you."

He scooped her face into both hands, his voice__soft.

"Let's go"

Jairus stretched his arm along her shoulder as they reached the car.

Jairus POV:

I don't know what was bothering her she was quiet during the way back home. I don't know the reason but I'll find it for sure & will erase it from her life !

Yeah I can anything to bring smile on her face.

But for one thing I'm happy that she understands me well and she loves me.

I do see her perfect__

a wifey material.

I think I'm rushing towards her I'd give her time if I'll ask her to marry maybe she'll refuse.

It's possible and there are many chances of it.

As she told me her secret of that night & she doesn't know who the man was. And I can't tell her either at least not now.

Our relationship has just begun I don't want to spoil it by going that fast.

I love her and I can't loose her, no matter what I'll stay by her side.

I know it'll be hard for her to believe me as I do have a dark past with many secrets. But I'll prove  it to her that she's the only one that crept into my heart. And She is the only one I want to spend my life with.

Though I want her badly. I admit that I want to touch her badly. But not that way like Genevieve said. It's different I don't know but when she's close to me I want her__every inch.

Today in the morning when she was close to me, we're kissing suddenly I felt my hot like something was rising in me. It's kinda creepy but I didn't felt like ME !

I felt a sudden hunger for her__like I was a hunter and she was my prey.

I was ready to hunt when I moved my fingers below her ear I felt the blood flowing in her vein.

I don't know what overcame me I licked her skin there, her sweet scent tantalized my senses__ hunger of blood !

I wanted to bite her !

"Good morning Caitlin."

Agnes greeted her 'new' friend while entering the building.

"Good morning sweety."

Caitlin came around the table and hugged her which Agnes returned with same warmth.

"So how was your date?"

Agnes ogle her with narrow-teasing eyes as she patted her elbow on Caitlin's tummy.

"You're so naughty Regena. It was good. I mean soooo good. We went for movie, shopping and then to his apartment."

Caitlin sounded excited to remind all that.

"So you did "IT" ?"

Agnes seemed interested and eager to find out.

"Ah yeah ! And believe me it was amazing."

She whispered to her and winked.

"Uh !  Yeah maybe."

"Maybe ?

So you haven't  ?"

Caitlin was surprised more like shocked.

Though Agnes shared that feeling but with someone she doesn't remember.

"Uh No !

I'll  have that with my love when I'll find him !"

"Waiting for Mr. Perfect ?"

"Yeah. I'll get going now or boss will be angry."

Agnes avoided futher questions.

"Sure. See you around."

Caitlin waved her as Agnes took the elevator.

Something was strange !

Wait

Agnes was unable to sense Jairus' scent in the elevator.

How's that even possible ?

Something was wrong with her vampiric senses !

Or something was wrong with Jairus' scent !

She hurriedly went to his cabin__in a worried state.

During her rush towards the cabin she didn't either felt his aura there.

Not even after reaching the cabin door  !

What was happening ?

Maybe he didn't came today that's why she didn't smell anything.

With pumping heart she pulled the glass door and__

Yes he was in !

Leaning against his chair with wine glass in hand  and scattered files all around & air conditioner kept high.

Agnes felt a sudden shudder at the temperature of room.

( wait vampires feel cold ? )

Something was definitely not right.

She went close to him and greeted in normal tone. Jairus lifted his head at once. And within a blink of eye he hugged her__tight.

Very tight, he almost squeezed her and she winced in pain.

Agnes POV:

What was wrong with him ?

He wasn't behaving like his usual- self.

He was Jairus but he wasn't  !

Something was different about him.

NO ! actually everything was different about him.

He never comes with hair such a mess and dressed so__so roughly.

Though he was wearing a  grey suit but not properly.

His eyes were becoming red perhaps he haven't slept last night. His skin was pale actually icey-white. His hands were cold, his whole body was cold when he hugged me. Why didn't he turned off the AC when he was feeling cold !

I asked him but he refused me to do so.

Maybe something was bothering him.

But what ?

During the work I kept an eye on him sure he wasn't fine. I watched him sweating profusely in the cold air !

He was rubbing his eyes again n again moreover he handed me a file  & requested to blow air with it. I asked him what he was feeling ?

His voice was husky when he told me he was feeling something hot inside as if something burning__ like magma.

All of the above he was licking his lips and canines like a hungry predator !

I noticed him doing that when I was standing close by him.

But why I wasn't able to sense anything in that cabin ?

Perhaps something was definitely wrong with my vampiric senses.

I was behaving more like humans, my body adjusted the temperature like them. I wasn't cold skinned anymore. My taste buds started to sense different flavours. I used to eat like normal people and specific dishes but from past some weeks I was craving for some different tastes. And was eating more than usual. My eye colour was still changing but not often it stayed that gem black, but started to change when I think of Jairus. Oh I forgot that scar was healed but slowly and that's odd in us, vampires. My skin was becoming somewhat more like humans.
