Chapter 171 - Just Two Left...or Is It Really Just Two?

"Extreme Nothingness."

The essence of the laws of time and destruction coalesced around his sword and he fired them out as a hyper beam towards the celestial's body.

Arthur launched a mini version of his strongest attack to the celestial's torso, easily penetrating his armor, destroying his entire torso, and ending the celestial's life instantly.

The next moment, Arthur felt a spear pierce through his own torso. The wilder then piked him up and poured celestial energy into the spear.

"Gahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!"

Arthur screamed out in pain the injection of foreign energy messed with his internal organs and his body's natural energy flow.

The celestial who literally 'speared' Arthur, then held him high up in the air, long enough for the other celestial to arrive and drop a giant bolt of lightning on Arthur.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Arthur screamed out in pain once again as the lightning scorched his defenseless body. The celestial then flung him away before turning to his comrade.

"He's dead."

Their third companion was ended instantly the moment Arthur's extreme nothingness touched him.

"That damned!!"

He bellowed in rage and turned to where he threw Arthur and was about to dash forward, however, he sensed an explosion of aura as a frown crept up to his face.

"How is he still standing?!"

His gaze was trained on Arthur who was walking while dragging Celestia on the floor. The celestial saw the hole in Arthur's stomach close up perfectly like it was never there.

"Time magic!"

The lightning using celestial was able to recognize the difference between healing and reversal, as such he understood that what Arthur was doing was not healing, but reversing his body's state to before he was wounded.

Using the power of the law of time, Arthur turned back the flow of time on his body and 'saved' the state where he did not have a hole in his stomach nor were his internal organs messed up as his 'current' state.

It was similar to loading an old save file in a game and overwriting the more recent one with that old save file, except in this case, Arthur from a minute ago who did not have any serious injuries was the old save file and the injured Arthur was the recent file he wished to overwrite.

The spear-wielding celestial narrowed his eyes and reactivated his avatar. The giant humanoid half-body avatar, this time, made with celestial energy manifested around him.

It rose up its spear and energy converged at the tip, he then pointed it at Arthur and fired that condensed energy.

Arthur, who had expected such an attack, rose his sword and filled it with aura before slamming it down on the ground.

"Havoc!!!"

***BOOOOMMM!!!!!

The beam of energy clashed with the silver aura and the mighty shockwave that surged from the ground alongside it.

While this was happening, the lightning celestial blitzed to Arthur's back and clawed at him with hands covered in gloves of lightning that reached up until his elbows.

Arthur flicked his fingers and a giant black lightning panther emerged with its mouth wide open, causing the celestial to divert his attack to it instead.

***CRACKLE!!!! BOOM!!

Arthur then used the power of time to accelerate his speed and jumped out of the middle of the two.

The spear-wielding celestial canceled his beam of energy so as to not hit his ally and turned towards Arthur before engulfing the avatar's spear in flames and flinging it forwards.

The spear began spinning midflight and created a flame tornado that whirled around him. He then moved towards Arthur as the flaming tornado followed suit and dealt flame damage to everything in its path.

In response to this, Arthur channeled the little essence of destruction that he could and stomped the ground with it, causing pillars of destruction energy to burst out from the ground and destroy the tornado.

The celestial saw this and gave his avatar the command to punch towards Arthur as he jumped out of it to avoid getting caught up by the pillars of destruction energy.

Arthur spread his wings and flew up to avoid the punch before manipulating the destruction energy and forming spears with it. He then fired those spears to meet the incoming dragon-shaped lighting that was fired by the celestial.

***KABOOOOMM!!!!

"He's using the power of a law?! Just what realm is this kid in?!"

The spear-wielding celestial asked as he realized that Arthur was using the law of destruction's power. He saw Arthur pointing towards him and felt his blood run cold.

"Shit!"

He channeled celestial energy into his legs and jumped out of the area as fast as he could, an action that prevented him from getting hit by the rain of destruction arrows that crashed down where he was standing a few moments prior.

Arthur then stopped using the law of destruction's power as he had reached the limit of what he could use with his meager comprehension in it.

"I don't really know how to use divinity but here goes."

As he had exhausted his available magic power, he switched to divinity and channeled it into his sword, much to the shock of the two celestials as they were under the assumption that Arthur was a devil, and devils definitely did not use divinity.

He then decided to taunt the two celestials and pulled out the box from his interspatial ring, alongside a mirage artifact which he used to duplicate the box and he threw the fake towards them.

The spear-wielding celestial, reflexively attempted to get the box, however, his instincts warned him not to and he used his spear to root himself to the ground and prevent any further movement.

"Tsk..."

Hearing Arthur audibly click his tongue as the fake box turned into shards of light upon touching the ground confirmed his suspicion.

Arthur then dashed away while downing a magic potion to regenerate his lost energy.

He swung his sword and released divinity-filled slashes at the two celestials who were hot on his tail.

The two dodged and sped up in their chase, they had guessed Arthur was somehow getting exhausted, and they were right.

The spear-wielding celestial engaged Arthur in close combat to keep the latter's attention on him while the lightning user supported him from afar, occasionally covering his body with lightning and blitzing towards Arthur for a hit and run.

'Huh? That's...?!'

During their clashes, while he was watching Arthur's arm movements to predict where he was going to strike next, he ended up noticing the gauntlets on Arthur's arm that he had failed to notice earlier due to the attention diversion magic on them.

The magic was not all-powerful as if one was to concentrate on the area the artifact was, they may be able to notice it. For an inferior stage legendary like the celestial, his superior senses were able to detect the artifact with little difficulty.

Still, the fact that none of them noticed it for so long spoke of how much the attention diversion magic was doing its job.

Arthur clicked his tongue angrily and let the power of the law of time flow through his body. He decided to try out something different.

'I hope it works....!'

He infused his divinity with the powers of time and destruction and condensed it within his body. Sensing the rapidly condensing divinity, the celestial realized Arthur was about to do something.

Instantly covering his spear with flames and thrusting it towards Arthur's head, he intended to break Arthur's concentration, however, Arthur's left eye flashed a purple light and he dodged the spear with minimal movements.

Arthur then used his wing to swat away the celestial's spear, before flapping them to create enough wind pressure to lift himself off the ground.

**CCRACKLE!!!

Lightning arrows fired from the other celestial, moved towards his previous location, however, before the arrows could hit the ground, the spear-wielding celestial infused his spear with celestial energy and pierced it into the ground.

Next, the earth beneath his feet turned into a shiny reflective golden surface. The arrows then bounced off the surface and were reflected towards Arthur's current position in the air.

"That's not how physics works!"

Arthur swung Celestia and released an aura slash to counter the arrows, before beelining towards the person who fired them.

The celestial, however, ignored the charging Arthur and summoned a blood-red bow in his arms and pointed it at the sky. His originally golden lightning turned red and sparked around his body.

Arthur released a slash of aura while trying to contain the divinity that was condensed to the limit in his body, however, the spear-wielding celestial blitzed into the path of the slash and blocked it with his weapon.

"I'd be holding you off."

He spoke before pointing his spear at Arthur and twirling it around, flames surrounded his spear and began twirling around in tandem with his hand motion.

Pouring in more energy, the flames extended the reach of the spear, causing Arthur to back away for fear of being hit.

Meanwhile, the lightning using celestial, nocked two red lightning arrows on his bow and they began to shine brightly. He then released them and they flew at a speed so fast, they shattered the sound barrier, pierced the clouds, and left behind a glittering trail.

"Bow of Heaven."

Shortly after he spoke, there was a faint red light filling the sky and a sound similar to that of falling rain, but instead of it being a rain of water, it was a rain of arrows of red lightning falling onto the ground like a downpour at a speed faster than that of the two arrows fired into the sky.

**BOOOMMM!!!!

The sound barrier was shattered once more as the arrows of red lightning poured down from the sky while Arthur was still trying to get around the spear-wielding celestial.
