Chapter 170 - Against The Celestial Trio

Name:Godslayer's Legend Author:_michael
About thirty to forty-five minutes before Creusery set out toward planet Nemo, Arthur, alongside the rest of the airborne entities and objects on planet Nemo were falling back to the ground as the gravity had returned to normal.

The reason for the shockwaves, bright flashes, and abnormal gravity was because a planet in the same star system as planet Nemo was destroyed and the destruction was affecting all the planets in the star system.

This was a result of the battles between deities that were occurring outside the planet's atmosphere.

Arthur stood up and dusted his body before looking around.

'I've spent far too much time here; I have to leave before someone comes around.'

Unfortunately, it was a bit too late for that, as not one or two but three people had already come around.

"Lightning."

There was a bright flash as a bolt of lightning dropped from the skies towards Arthur. He hurriedly opened up his wings and flapped them hard enough to generate wind pressure to propel himself backwards.

***BOOOOOOMMMM!!!!

The lightning hit the ground and created another crater in it.

"Hmm? Those wings? So he's a devil, Perfect."

He heard the voice of one of his assailants and looked up to see a trio of masked men, each emanating the aura of the inferior stage of the legendary realm.

The next moment, one of them flicked his fingers as a spear of pure celestial energy appeared in his hands. He then threw the spear towards Arthur who hurriedly summoned Celestia and launched an aura-based attack.

"Sword of Victory."

A wave of silver aura poured towards the incoming spear and collided with it midair, resulting in a large explosion that generated a small mushroom cloud.

***KAAABOOOOM!!!

Arthur attempted to take advantage of the explosion to run away but he suddenly felt a chill down his spine and retracted his wings before ducking.

The next moment, a slash of celestial energy passed where his neck was and went on to slice through the debris in front of him.

***BOOOM!!!

The slash turned about a few buildings' worth of debris to dust instantly before dissipating.

Arthur then rolled on the ground to dodge the incoming spear that threatened to pierce his head. Afterward, he coated his body with aura and rose his hands in an 'X' to block the kick that was released by the one with the spear.

**BAAM!!

He was sent flying into a nearby pile of rocks and ended up cracking a few bones in his arm due to the force behind the kick.

Arthur poured magic power into his arms and his wounds healed instantly. He then stood up and looked at the three inferior stage legendary realm celestials who were surrounding him.

He spat out a bit of blood and cracked his neck before re summoning Celestia and grasping the sword tightly.

Seeing that he intended to fight back, one of the celestials then spoke up with a condescending tone.

"Give us the box with the law crystal and we'd spare you measly life."

Hearing his words, Arthur was shocked, as he did not know why they were so sure he was the one with the box.

However, he put those thoughts at the back of his mind and glared at the celestials in front of him.

Next, he began powering up.

He activated his pseudo authority of the progenitor to boost his base parameters, he then flicked the switch under his gauntlets while removing the torn and tattered blazer.

Pouring magic power into the gauntlets, his base stats that were already boosted by the authority then received another 6x boost at the cost of half his maximum magic power.

His aura on the other hand, spiked to the point that the legendary realm celestials in front of him felt threatened.

"Dangerous!"

The one with the spear shouted as he dashed towards Arthur, however, Arthur showed no fear and only spoke with a cold voice.

"Aura Burst."

**BOOOM!!!!

He released a burst of pure aura in all directions, clearing out the debris in the area and forcing the celestials back by a considerable distance. The pieces of shattered blocks and broken buildings around him were all turned to dust by his aura as the area around him turned into a large clearing.

He then walked forward and rose his sword, pouring more aura into it and calling out with a small almost inaudible voice.

"Havoc."

The technique was used by the late northern emperor from planet Phirex. He stabbed his sword into the ground and the ground around him cracked, then a mighty shockwave surged like a fountain.

The trio of masked celestials hurriedly jumped out of the way to avoid getting caught up. Arthur on the other hand zeroed in on the one that was the slowest and kicked off the ground towards him.

Instantly arriving in front of him, he rose his sword and called out the name of a technique he had not used in a while.

"Wind Sword."

The technique was one that rose his speed with the sword to frightening levels. The celestial hurriedly created a blade of celestial energy and attempted to block Arthur's sword.

***SWISH, SLASH, SWISH!

**SHATTER!!!

His resistance did not last long as Arthur shattered his hurriedly created weapon and attempted to deliver a lethal strike to the head.

Arthur was already able to defeat superior stage grandmasters in his normal state, throw in the strengthening from the pseudo authority and the multiplication from his gauntlets, and his current power easily trumped any average inferior stage legendary.

The current Arthur was comparable to an inferior stage legendary on the verge of becoming an intermediate stage!

His sword moved towards the head of the celestial at a speed the latter could barely perceive, luckily, he was not alone.

"Tsk..."

Arthur loudly clicked his tongue and canceled his swing; he then used the celestial's body as a foothold and jumped out of the area.

**CRACKLEEEE!!!! BOOM!!!

Lightning dropped from the sky to the ground where he was standing, however, the celestial he was just clashing blades with was not harmed!.

'So his attacks can ignore his allies huh?'

Reaching that conclusion, Arthur twisted his body midair and swung his sword, clashing with the spear that attempted to puncture a hole in his chest.

**CLANG!! CLANG!!! CLANG!!!!!

Sword and spear met each other again repeatedly in midair before gravity did its work and brought the wielders to the ground.

**FLAP!!

Releasing his wings, Arthur kept himself afloat long enough for the celestial to hit the ground. He then plunged from midair to strike the ground below.

**BAMM!!!

The ground cracked open and Arthur manipulated his magic power to cover some of the giant shards of earth. He then caused these shards to levitate and fired them towards the Lightning using celestial who was most likely casting another spell as he clicked his tongue and coated his fists with lightning before punching the incoming shards of earth.

Arthur on the other hand, filled his sword with aura and spun around, releasing an omnidirectional slash that threatened to split everything around him in two.

***SWISH!!!!!

The celestial with the spear stabbed it into the ground and tore out a chunk of the earth and flung it towards Arthur who was attempting to regain his balance before ducking to avoid the slash.

"You two, take distance! Tell 'him' to not take action yet!"

He shouted towards his fellow celestials and they heeded his warning, ducking to avoid the slash before turning around and running away.

The spear-wielding celestial then turned to Arthur and spoke, his tone laced with annoyance.

"Playtime is over brat, let me show you what it means to be a 'Legendary'."

**BOOM

He released enormous amounts of magic power from his body, the magic power then went on to form a giant half-body avatar with him at the center.

The giant humanoid avatar wielded a spear on one hand just like the celestial and a square shield on the other.

Raising the spear, the avatar thrust it towards Arthur who hurriedly spread his wings and shot up into the air.

He felt his hairs stand on end and instantly filled his sword with aura and rose it to clash with the lightning bolt that dropped from above.

Multiple magic circles then formed around him and more lightning bolts shot out of it. He was about to block when the giant spear-wielding avatar, pulled its spear out of the ground and swung it towards the airborne Arthur.

A giant sword of celestial energy then appeared above his head and dropped down towards him.

Against the three simultaneous attacks, Arthur released a loud battle cry as he created an omnidirectional barrier of aura around his body.

****BOOOOOOMMM!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!! KAAAAABOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

The spear was swung, the lightning bolts were fired and the giant sword stabbed at the same time.

The trio was convinced Arthur could not survive this, after all, the explosion and its resulting shockwaves decimated anything within a roughly 50,000-kilometer square distance of the origin point.

That was easily half the size of an average island!

It was only natural that they did not expect Arthur to survive. However, that was only applicable if he was hit by the full force of the attack in the first place.

The celestial with lightning-based abilities had a special skill that allowed him to prevent both himself and those he designated as allies from being damaged by celestial energy-based attacks.

Both his lightning bolts and the giant sword fell under this category as such he was able to lessen the damage he actually had to block by a large margin. He also used that to lessen the damage that his companions took from the explosion.

The celestial with the giant avatar reduced its size while condensing the energy it was composed of, making it more durable. He also used the shield to reduce the amount of damage the avatar's actual body took.

As for the third celestial, he had used a teleportation stone to get the fuck out of the range of the explosion.

Due to this, he was the one who was the farthest from the other two but he didn't really care much, after all, Arthur was supposed to be dead and the box they wanted to retrieve was not something that would be destroyed by their combined attacks.

He let his guard down, which was why by the time he noticed the attack heading for him, it was already too late. He sensed an aura can coming from above and looked up to see the other person who escaped from the explosion with a teleportation crystal.

Inside the bag that Arthur got from the deceased lightning mage was a bunch of teleportation crystals, using one of them, Arthur was able to escape unscathed after his aura barrier broke.

Arthur plunged down from the sky with Celestia thrust forward. He then launched a beam of concentrated aura towards the celestial intending to finish him off.

**BOOOM

Naturally, it would not be so easy to kill an inferior stage legendary, in fact, the celestial managed to sacrifice his arm to block Arthur's attack before jumping backward.

However, a humanoid who was missing a body part, couldn't maintain their balance as easily as when they had all their body parts complete.

The celestial's landing was flawed, he ended up stumbling and Arthur took advantage of this.

"Extreme Nothingness."
