Chapter 127 - Adventures Of Aurora And Inglis, Ambush And Counterattack

Name:Godslayer's Legend Author:_michael
[Authority of Gravity]

The other celestial had his hand stretched out towards her, he made a downward motion and Inglis found herself crashing down on a nearby planet.

However, she did not scream out in pain or get enraged, instead she asked a completely normal question.

"There's no gravity in space so how did that work?

I should have really comprehended the law of gravity too."

She stood up and jumped back up, turning into a streak of light and dashing towards the celestial who was preparing another attack.

Right before she could clash with him, she sensed another aura and rose an eyebrow in surprise.

'Rory?'

She backed away at the last moment and the celestial's sword slash missed, cleaving the planet she just jumped from in half.

Many other planets and celestial bodies behind also exploded after being sliced in two.

"Rory what's wro-"

|Glis, he gave us wrong numbers, there're two more cel-|

Aurora, who had cut Inglis off, could not finish her words.

That was because she sensed it, Inglis also did and her face paled rapidly.

The celestial who just missed his chance to cleave Inglis in half smiled and spoke.

|Finally!|

A few meters above Aurora, an individual warped into the area.

In his hand was a gigantic sword of flames.

|Aurora!!|

Inglis unconsciously called out Aurora's full first name in her true voice.

The intruder instantly activated three authorities at once.

[Authority of Space]

[Authority of Destruction]

[Authority of Fire]

The second the celestial Inglis was fighting heard the last Authority the intruder activated, it was his turn to have his face pale.

Aurora on the other hand, reflexively turned her head and activated a thought acceleration spell.

'I was careless!'

Aurora had initially come go warn Inglis that there were two other celestial high tier deities, however she ended up being attacked by one of them.

Feeling the aura of destruction from the attack, she automatically prepared herself to take fatal damage.

The sword's target was a vital point; her head.

Even if she would survive the attack, she would be out of commission temporarily

Her regeneration needed a bit of time to kick in so it was best to just abandon this body together.

She was about to activate her authority of reincarnation and was ready to abandon her current body and reincarnate herself into her back up clone.

That was when her rational mind informed her of something.

She was acting hastily as such she ended up not noticing something that should have been natural for her to notice.

It was the composition of the attack.

If one were to represent the attack in percentages, it would be as follows.

15% space attribute

15% destruction attribute

70% fire attribute

And Aurora was a phoenix.

A being that was born from flames, lived from flames, and died in flames.

'I feel a bit foolish now...'

As a phoenix, Aurora's affinity for anything fire related was off the charts.

More importantly, she was immune to damage from fire based attacks

Although she was not immune to the law of space and destruction in the attack, she was a deity, her body was strong enough to withstand that level of damage.

Any other deity on her level might have taken lethal damage from such an attack to the head but not her.

Besides, it was not so fast that she could not stop it, it was just that she had unconsciously given up on doing so due to the immense amount of energy contained within the attack.

If someone were to view the galaxy they were in from afar, a red line could be seen cutting through at least a third of the giant spiral.

That was how ridiculous the attack was.

'I can use this against him instead.'

Having that thought, Aurora stretched out her arms and created a wall of flames over her head the moment the thought acceleration spell wore off.

However, the sword easily phased through the wall of flames.

'Law of Space!'

Aurora held back her sudden urge to curse as the gigantic sword increased in speed and thundered down towards her.

With her outstretched arms, she caught the blade between her palms.

The sword's length was enormous but it didn't have much in the way of width.

As such, it was possible for her to catch it within her palms.

She heard loud cracking sounds.

Most likely the sounds of her bones breaking, the law of destruction was already doing its job of destroying her body.

Her skin peeled off and her flesh shredded, blood splattered everywhere.

The pain coursed through her entire being.

Feathery Wings of flames burst from her back and a tiara of flames appeared on her head.

Her hands became covered in scales and her nails had turned into claws.

She gripped the sword tightly with those claws.

Her arms were broken and bleeding, she felt great pain coursing through her entire body.

However-

"Whew..."

-she was still alive.

At that point, her regeneration kicked in.

Her arms were engulfed in healing flames.

Taking advantage of the celestial's stunned state from having his full powered attack thwarted so easily, she began absorbing the flames in the attack.

Her feathery wings of flames burned brighter and her hair flared up wildly.

Sensing the energy in his attack decrease, the stunned celestial recovered himself and tried to back away, intending to attack once again with the sword.

He was aware that there were two assailants, however he was not informed of their characteristics.

That was why he immediately attacked Aurora as soon as he arrived.

To him, it looked like she was moving to aid Inglis and did not want that to happen, so he immediately attacked at full power.

He sensed her level at the superior stage of the high tier deity realm so he believed using his full power was the best way to take her out in one hit.

He ended up using his three most powerful authorities, however, that was a mistake.

His target turned out to be a phoenix.

And his most powerful authority was that of fire.

70% of the attack that was composed of fire.

This was absorbed by her almost instantly.

All these happened within the span of 10 seconds.

And then Inglis sent a thought transmission to Aurora before speaking out.

|Are you retarded or what?

You used flames against her, a Phoenix.|

Right after she spoke Aurora condensed the energy she absorbed into her palm and amplified it with her own energy before delivering a palm strike towards the celestial.

He hurriedly tried to teleport away but it was already too late.

His defenceless chest was hit by Aurora's full powered palm strike.

**BBAAAMM!!!

Flames burst out from his back and seared through the void of space behind him.

Asteroids, moons, planets, stars, star systems, realms.

Almost everything in the path of the flames was destroyed and reduced to space dust.

As for the celestial, he had a giant hole in his torso.

From his chest down to his stomach.

One didn't need to be a genius to realise he was dead.

Aurora's counter attack killed him instantly.

The celestial who was battling Inglis had his mouth wide open.

He was still shocked from the scene he just witnessed.

Meanwhile, the one who created this scene, used more flames to burn the rest of the celestial's body and then healed herself before releasing a burst of flames, an action that seemed unnecessary.

She looked towards Inglis and spoke.

|You gonna end him or what?|

It was then that the last celestial snapped out of his shock and remembered the Devil of Envy who was behind him.

He hurriedly turned around and activated an ability.

One that only those with a domain or territory under their rule could use.

||Domain Deceleration: Hallowed Ground||

A golden light burst out from the body and covered the area around them.

Thousands of light-years were covered in this golden light, giant golden structures were formed and they all emitted enormous amounts of energy.

Most of these structures were projectile weapon constructs, they targeted both Inglis and Aurora.

However, before he could give the order to fire the celestial energy based projectiles at the duo, he suddenly coughed up blood.

|Guh...h-how?|

He looked down at his chest and saw a staff sticking out of it.

Turning around, he was met with the figure of a dark haired devil smiling at him.

|Thanks for the clone Rory.|

She spoke out and Aurora nodded before disabling the clone of Inglis that the celestial had believed was the real one.

The burst of flames Aurora released earlier were a diversion, one aimed at preventing the celestial from realizing that the real Inglis had moved and a flame clone had taken her place.

This was Inglis' idea, which she told to Aurora in her thought transmission right before Aurora killed the intruding celestial.

[Authority of Death: Dust to Dust - Overdrive]

Activating the lethal ability that returned the target to dust at full power, Inglis put an end to the life of the last celestial remaining in the area.
