Chapter 63 - Water well

Burning sun, with fresh air blowing in the wind and man looking at the forest, Ezekiel.

At night, Ezekiel studied the structure of the farm, and noticed it is very easy to break the fences or if human come through easily, so he thought of various ideas.

While Ezekiel studied the structure, Glenn ran to the barn to have fun with Maggie, he threw the bag of clothes up and climbed the barn, after he entered, he heard some noise but didn't think about it. After seconds the noise started getting louder and Glenn could distinguish this was a walker's sound, he looked down and almost fell to the ground, the whole barn was full of walkers.

Ezekiel looked at the barn and couldn't help but smile thinking of the situation of Glenn. He knows that Glenn will probably not reveal the information about the walkers in the barn until he talks it with Maggie, but it doesn't matter to him.

-----

Afternoon, everyone surrounded a water well and looked inside, there was a very fat walker.

Ezekiel was first to break the silence: "Glenn you go down, and tie the rope to the walker, and all will push when I say"

Glenn looked as everyone looked at him, he could only sigh and agree: "Yes, okay I get it"

Maggie looked as Glenn got down and put the rope around the walker, everyone got Glenn out and started pull the rope of the walker, when the walker reached the edge, he said: "Stop don't pull more, and continue after my say" Ezekiel finished and ran to the walker.

He pulled the legs with another rope from the other side, as to not break the body: "Now pull".

Everyone pulled and they soon took the walker out without any problems.

Ezekiel came to everyone and took the rope; he dragged the walker a farther place and killed him. He continued looking at the well and said: "Clear all the water, pumping it, and block the well with some wood as to not contaminate it.

Everyone nodded and got to work, Ezekiel went to the room of Carl and saw the situation of the little boy, and knew he would be okay in a few days.

He went to Rick and said: "Tomorrow in the morning, meeting all come" before leaving he said, "as for your kid don't worry, he will be fine in a couple of days".

Rick and Lori looked at each other and couldn't hide the joy of seeing Carl alright.
