Chapter 1089: Current Progress

A few days later, Alex still read everything that might be related to the Array God and his transformation. However, he still couldn't find the exact clue as to where he met the snake.

Lin Xingzhi walked toward the room where Alex spent all his time reading to report what she found along with the others' conditions.

"Alex…" Lin Xingzhi twitched her eyebrows. Alex was sitting in his usual position. Eve also roamed around the area to sort everything that had been sent here. Yet, there was one thing different from the usual situation.

There was another woman hugging him from the back while staring at what he read.

"Sherry. I have never thought that you are here." Lin Xingzhi shook her head helplessly.

"I just came here. I haven't met him for a long time, isn't this fine?" Sherry pouted, not wanting Lin Xingzhi to get mad.

"It's fine, but what about your job?"

"I have done it all. For now, I am resting because I have used up all my energy."

"Just inform me first next time, I thought that someone wanted to take advantage of this situation." Lin Xingzhi sighed.

"Are you talking about me?" Carissa suddenly entered the room while bringing a pile of documents.

"Yeah. Want me to throw you out right now?"

Carissa shrugged and looked down. "I am bringing these documents. You sure?"

"I am sure." Lin Xingzhi nodded with a serious face.

"You are just bullying me." Carissa pouted. When she was about to complain to Alex, Lin Xingzhi already arrived in front of her and grabbed a portion of her luggage, revealing a blue powder scattered on top of the paper.

"Then, can you explain this to me?" Lin Xingzhi narrowed her eyes.

"Ah." Carissa's heart skipped a beat before taking a step back. Her eyes looked away and she appeared to want to escape. "This is not an aphrodisiac; it's just a relaxant. His Majesty has been working for the past few days, so I want him to rest for a while."

Before Lin Xingzhi replied, Alex already asked another question. "And your real intention?"

"When you are asleep, I can start kissing you and doing another thing. Of course, I won't do anything excessive since I will die after that." Carissa stuck her tongue playfully before running away. "Bye."

The papers dropped to the ground as Alex used his Spiritual Energy to organize the papers and put it on the desk.

Yeah, this was how their day passed by. Alex only shook his head helplessly before asking Lin Xingzhi. "How is the situation?"

"We are eighty percent done. I believe everything will end by tomorrow. After that, we will become famous…Or you."

"Fair enough. I have no doubt that the Spirits can stop talking about it. And there is the Beast Kingdom. The other Divine Worlds would surely learn about this soon." Alex sighed.

"I have tried to suppress it for a while, but I don't think we can hold on for a week."

"I understand. How about the specific conditions?"

"If you are talking about the others, Anna and Anya were fighting together with Rilt and Vina. William seems to be accompanying Letizia and Evelyn because of their sword skill. Silvia keeps healing the injured while Alicia and Firia went with Sullivan. Sherry was also with him, but she is here now. As for Rose, she is with Helena right now because she wants to shoot underwater."

Alex thought for a moment and asked. "The others are fine, right?"

"Yes. We are suppressing them the whole time and we make sure everything is done painlessly. This is a war that will create a chain of hatred if we don't kill them… It's unfortunate for them, but we can't be too weak-willed."

"I understand and perfectly know about it. Don't worry. I am ready to shoulder that burden." Alex waved his hand, telling her he was fine. "For now, let's continue until everything is over…"

"Alex?" Lin Xingzhi tilted her head when she saw the change of expression on Alex's face.

"Where did the Array God get the inheritance from the former Array God?" Alex asked with a grim expression.

"Why? Did you just find something?" Lin Xingzhi asked while walking toward him, wanting to read what he just read.

"In this journal, Sun Gongming said that his father started to change right after getting the inheritance."

"Sun Gongming? The Prince?" Lin Xingzhi tilted her head in confusion. "Do you trust his words?"

Alex closed his eyes for a few seconds, recalling what happened when he killed him. "His expressions when I killed him was not anguish nor hatred. He was relieved. Unlike his own brother, he seemed to have a hope to make something better. He gave me this space ring containing his research about his father's changing behavior. After reading it for a while, I realize that it's indeed true."

"I am not sure myself because the place is very secretive, knowing the Array God. However, the Array God and War Goddess died at that time, so I believed they set up their inheritance at the last moment there. Unfortunately, I don't have the information of its specific location." Lin Xingzhi shook her head in disappointment.

"Do you have any general idea?"

"Yes. Though we need to search a quite big area, including all the words inside it. There are approximately three thousand worlds that need to be checked, so it will take a while."

"It's fine. Take your time. There is still time for us. At the very least, this one is the closest one we've ever gotten to those so-called weapons." Alex sighed.

"I understand. With this, we have confirmed the bat, snake, and phoenix's existences." She nodded. "I will handle everything at this point and may join the investigation myself."

"Who knows. All we can do is to prepare. Luckily, we can have three God Kings from Eulja alone. Coupled with the Palm God, we should be able to hold out for a while." Lin Xingzhi shrugged.

Alex nodded before opening it again, finding an Array appeared in the room.

"Master, Master!" Rose suddenly rushed to him with a curious expression. "Was there really a God King known as Bow God?"

"…" Alex nodded. "Yes."

"What?!" Rose dropped her jaw before dropping to her knees. She looked sad and betrayed. "Why didn't you tell me? I thought I could become the first Bow God."

"You will be the first Bow Goddess, not the first Bow God. Besides, I just learned it only recently." Alex shrugged.

"Really?" Rose pouted while doubting him again.

"Yeah. Do you remember when we visited the ten God Beasts? They told me about the ten God Kings. That's when I learned everything." Alex sighed, explaining the situation honestly.

"Then, why sister Xingzhi didn't tell me?" Rose turned to Lin Xingzhi.

"That's because I planned to have you go there in the future. My prediction was when you reached Rank 5 God, but now that you know it, I think you should go earlier." Lin Xingzhi let out a long sigh. "Before that, did Helena tell you about this?"

"Yes. She said there was someone in the past that could shoot down everything, known as the Bow God."

She facepalmed. "I should have told her to not say anything first."

"Why?" Rose seemed to take this matter seriously because she didn't wish to get fooled again.

"Do you know why Alex hasn't gone to the Dungeon God's inheritance yet?"

"Isn't it because Master has too many things going on, so he doesn't have time?"

"Nope. I have gotten the information that it's a very difficult place, so he needs to have Rank 5 God Strength first. Meanwhile, the Bow God is easier which probably requires you to be a Rank 8 if not Rank 7 God. However, unlike Alex's overbearing strength that could fight someone above his level, I am worried about your safety, so I thought you should go when you reached Rank 5 God."

"Is that so…" Rose looked down with a sad expression. However, the feeling was different. If last time she was angry due to Lin Xingzhi hiding it from her, now she was sad due to her not believing in Lin Xingzhi.

She had done so much in her life to the point she didn't know how she could repay her. Yet, to think she doubted her. Rose felt guilty.

Lin Xingzhi bent down and patted Rose's head. "I love you, Rose. Just like Alex, I also want to support you to the best I can. Please believe me, okay?"

"I am sorry." Rose lowered her head.

"It's fine. A smile will be more suited to a cute disciple like you, so don't be sad. I am not mad." She put on a gentle smile. "The place has been discovered by so many people, but no one can inherit that place yet. Hence, I will wait until you are ready before sending you there. Okay?"

"Un. I promise to not escape just for a petty reason." Rose repeatedly nodded.

"So, you are planning to escape just to challenge it if you know about this inheritance? It seems that I need to take back my word and punish you a little bit." Lin Xingzhi narrowed her eyes.

Rose's body shook as she stepped back. "No way! I am just going to train a little bit. Anyway, I still have a lot of energy. I should continue fighting with Helena right now! See you later."

Rose hurriedly escaped from Lin Xingzhi's grasp like Carissa.

Alex shook his head helplessly. "That's my disciple. What should I do about it?"

"Yes." Alex acknowledged the plan.

"You are going to leave this world immediately and head straight to the Dungeon God's inheritance. Hence, even when they know about that place, they can't enter it.

"By the way, I have the information that Aria will be coming soon. She is a 10-Star Martial Saint right now, only need one or two years to break through to Rank 10 God."

"Alright. Just send someone to that place and bring her to Eulja. I will let you arrange everything for her."

"Are you going to accept her?"

"What?" Alex tilted his head. "I don't have any intention in receiving her as a wife or a disciple. Instead, how about asking Anya to teach her? I am sure she will be delighted."

Alex sighed and looked at the ceiling. "To be honest, I have high hope for her. Unlike the others, she has the talent to simulate everything in her head. "Hopefully, she could become another strategist for Eulja. Although Eulja has many talented people like Anya, we need a Pure Strategist…The one that can predict the future. This will solidify our foundation."

"Do you think she can reach that stage?"

Alex shook his head. "I have no confidence, but I want to try."

"Well, I will arrange it." She nodded.
