568 Rose

Two days later,

In front of Heavenly Sword City, Rose flew in the sky. She had just finished the mission even though she was already at the same level as Charya, a 10-Star Martial Lord. Alex's task about the mission was still etched on her heart as she never skipped a mission in her entire journey. If not, she might have already reached Martial King and gone to the Northern Continent.

Meanwhile, Alex's mission really raised her up because she could see many matters from perspectives. At first, when she was only a Martial Master, she needed to struggle as a nobody because Alex wanted to have her struggle with her own strength. That time, she was underestimated, poorly treated, and so on. She endured all of it because she already grew accustomed to it before she became Alex's disciple.

When she became a Martial Grandmaster, people started looking at her as equal because she could be considered an inner disciple who was supposed to be an elite in the sect. She started implementing all her plans in the mission, and it turned out nicely. Although some of them were failures, she considered it seriously and made better next time.

It was after she finally became Martial Lord, her efforts were rewarded. The people began to recognize her, and before long, the matter about her being Alex's disciples blew up. At that time, she could see the top view because everyone started idolizing her like crazy. However, even with the power on her hands, she still treated others fairly because she understood what kind of view she saw at the bottom.

Of course, she beat the crap of those entitled ones. Alex's influence was already too big on this continent. Not only was he similar to Evelyn's mentor and had some relationship with Letizia, who both were going to the Northern Continent to pursue higher levels. 

It was at this time another trouble that wouldn't go away appeared in front of her.

"A coincidence in meeting you here, I also just came back from my matter with my elder since I need to kill a few 10-Star Martial Lord monsters." A male's voice resounded on her right ear.

An unpleasant expression quickly replaced Rose's serious expression. The pest that never left her side, the young lord of the Sansuin Family, Erze Sansuin.

Obviously, one of her motivations to reach a higher stage was to make this person leave. Because he threatened that Sansuin Family and Joyful Union Sect would thrash Alex, she didn't do anything against him. Only when he was too close that she was forced to act.

Erze already asked the sect master of Heavenly Sword Sect, Xiang Bai, for Rose's hand in marriage, albeit Xiang Bai rejected that offer.

Erze tried to harass the female disciples of the sect, but all he got was Rose's arrows. Even when threatening that she would kill the female disciples if Rose didn't drink with him, it only made Rose hate him more and didn't care about the disciples' lives.

Out of frustration, Erze asked the elder that accompanied him to hunt her down. It was at this time Ngina worked in the dark and blasted him away mysteriously, scaring the elder to not approach Rose. 

Even though Ngina didn't come to the Northern Continent, he was still a Spirit Nest member. The exp that came from killing monsters still flowed inside of him and raised his level. Just like the other spies, Ngina managed to reach the Martial Emperor Stage. 

The elder was too scared to move after that despite hearing all the rants that Erze threw at him. Rose didn't know this, so she thought the elder wouldn't move at all unless it were a life-threatening matter.

Thinking about it, she made an annoyed face before glaring at him. "Coincidence, please don't say such a bullsh*t. This is why Master is the only one for me. Unlike you, men, he never lied to me."

The cold voice from her quickly changed the expression of Erze. His brown hair swayed by the wind, but it suddenly blew in the opposite direction because the Spiritual Energy was coming out of his body.

"What? Are you planning to challenge me? You are just trash. For what reason do you think you are qualified to pursue me? Your Family? Spare me from that joke. Without your family, you can't do anything at all. My Master left me alone, so I can fend the world by myself, knowing more than anyone should. How about you? You can only rely on your family and don't know most matters. Without your family, you wouldn't know anything at all." Rose cursed at him. 

"Hmph. Then why don't you kill me already? If it's not because of my family sparing him, your master will already die." Erze blatantly took this matter to another level. Not only he wasn't ashamed of those insults, but he was also proud of it. "No men are equal. All of us already have talent and background. If someone is complaining about it, they sound like envious people and petty people."

His statement didn't trigger Rose from being angry as she knew it would only make him happy. Rose only snorted. "I will see what kind of expression you would have after your family is destroyed."

"You-" Her words triggered him because this was the same as her cursing his family. 

The elder appeared beside Erze and said, "Young Lady… your statement is quite heavy, you know. This sentence could bring trouble to your master. Heh… I will also see what kind of expression when you know your master has died because of your statement."

"You… All of you wouldn't be able to beat my master!" Rose narrowed her eyes before taking out of her bow.

The situation became pretty heated, and no one in Heavenly Sword Town was brave enough to stop the fight between these two because of both identities. The only thing they could do was to pray that the fight wouldn't destroy the Heavenly Sword Town, especially when they looked at the 8-Star Martial King. 

This was also one of the reasons why the Heavenly Sword Sect wasn't afraid of them. They knew Alex had killed 8-Star Martial King a few years ago. With his cultivation speed, he should be able to kill this person easily. Unfortunately, they didn't know whether Alex would come back or not, so they couldn't take any appropriate action.

Rose looked at the elder while taking out her bow. The lightning already sparked around her body as she pulled the string, aiming at the Elder.

"Heh, you brat. Are you planning to attack me?" The elder made a smug smile.

Rose hesitated. There were many reasons why she didn't take on the elder. Still, she felt that this situation could only be resolved by defeating the elder or escaping inside the sect. 

Just like a ray of hope, another male's voice resounded on Rose's ears. 

"Hit him with your strongest attack. I want to see what kind of progress you will show me in these few years…"

Rose's body shook as she never expected to hear this voice again. She trusted this voice completely despite finding no one in her surroundings.

The lightning slowly flowed to her arrow as the Bow Domain made its appearance. There was blue colored lightning spinning in the tip of her arrow, looking very ferocious.

"You know the consequences of attacking me, right?" The elder threatened her with empty lies. There were no consequences of attacking him because the elder was actually afraid of someone behind Rose. The memory about him being repelled by a shadow was still fresh on his mind, especially about the shadow's cultivation.

He threatened just to make her stop since he noticed that the shadow wouldn't make a move unless he involved himself in this matter. 

The elder thought the shadow would make a move here if Rose decided to attack him. The only way to stop this was to threaten her, so she didn't shoot her arrow. 

"Young Lady, my young master is smitten by you. Why don't you accept him already? After that, you can even make this elder move according to your direction." The old man said while searching if the shadow was nearby.

"What about him? If an ugly duckling suddenly comes to him, saying she loves him and he should become her man, will you accept? No right? Especially if she is talentless without any redeeming quality." Rose snorted as she looked at Erze like looking at garbage.

"You-"

"You couldn't compare it like that. There is a big differ-" Erze tried to rebuke her statement, but Rose suddenly released her arrow.

"Take this. Draconic Arrow."

The arrow suddenly turned into an eastern dragon, covered with lightning. This dragon was big enough to barely swallow a person alive. If Erze took this attack head-on, the only outcome for him was death. 

However, he didn't know why, but the arrow seemed to be targeting his elder. He made a smug smile, thinking she missed the target or made a foolish move. 

Unfortunately, the elder sweatdropped because this finally escalated to the way he didn't want to. He took out his sword to destroy this attack before he could threaten her again. 

The Spiritual Energy flashed on his sword as he was going to use a technique to show the difference between them. This would make his empty threat more effective. 

It was at this moment, another person finally made his move. The lightning from Rose's thunder dragon suddenly magnified before turning into a bolt of lightning, flying toward the elder.

The bolt lightning struck the elder before the dragon arrived. This weak attack suddenly turned into a powerful strike.

Feeling the dreadful aura from this bolt of lightning, he decided to destroy this attack first.

"Sansuin Great Slash!"

The sword emanated an orange light, clashing with the energy from the single bolt of lightning. It created a huge shockwave that could be felt through the Heavenly Sword Town, albeit one second later, the bolt finally beat his power and dispelled all the Spiritual Energy he used.

"Kh!" It blew his sword away. He looked at the dragon coming toward him. He didn't have enough time to use another attack, and his sword already flew out of his hand.

With the little time to react, he channeled a portion of his Spiritual Energy and struck forth with his fist.

"Don't underestimate me."

"Boom!" The dragon exploded after touching his fist.

Even Erze dropped his jaw, looking at the explosion to see if the elder was alright. This was the first time something like this happened, and it was impossible to happen. His elder was the strongest on this continent and to think a Martial Lord could do such a thing.

The smoke slowly dispersed by the wind, revealing the elder figure. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate, the elder looked fine, but if one took a look at his fist, it was covered with blood.

"Hehe… I heard some interesting words earlier, all of you. Do you think that your family and Joyful Union Sect is sparing my life and not the other way around? I am also wondering what kind of expression you would have if your family is destroyed. And that old man also said interestingly, I am wondering what kind of consequence my disciple would have if she attacks you?" A male's voice resounded through the Heavenly Sword Town, commenting on Rose, Erze, and the elder's words.

A smile that Erze had never seen suddenly appeared on her face, making her look so pretty. Rose didn't care about other reactions and quickly turned her head, shouting. "Master!"

"Rose. It's been a while. How are you doing?"
