Chapter 140 - A Conversation With The Strange Man

Selene joined the game since Eros still needed to think of a way how he would find someone who was willing to become his boyfriend.

Eros tugged his hair tightly. He told Selene that he would handle it but he didn't have a concrete plan yet.

"God, what kind of trouble did I get myself into? I am wondering if this is still a part of my cupid role. But I can't refuse Selene."

He smacked his cheeks using both hands and said to himself, "Yes, Eros, just think of this as part of your Cupid Role. At least, Renz will not understand my relationship with Selene. This way no conflict will arise between them just because of me."

Eros also felt that Renz was not yet a hundred percent convinced that he was gay. He could tell that Renz had doubts by just observing the way Renz looked at him.

Eros heaved another deep sigh. He had lost count of how many times he sighed today.

Aside from finding a boyfriend, Eros still had lots of concerns. First, the guys should meet his standard. Of course, it should be as good-looking as him.

'No, I am the most handsome so no one can be as good looking as me,' Eros's narcissistic self spoke for himself.

Eros shook his head at that thought. He rubbed his chin as he continued racking his brain while finding the solution for his problem.

'I guess the guy I have to choose can match up even 70% of my handsomeness.'

'Second criteria… Aside from his physical appearance, he should be good at lying. Cough! Cough! I mean acting.'

Eros started to enumerate the criteria he needed to consider in choosing his fake boyfriend.

'Third criteria, of course, he should be a straight man, not gay, or else, I will be doomed. He might take advantage of me. Making the act so real.'

Eros felt like crying just imagining it.

'Ah, this is so hard. A straight man is so hard to convince. I wonder if someone will agree to do it. Maybe if I pay him a large amount of money. But I will have a hard time finding someone with 70% of my beauty.'

Eros massaged his temples. He decided to leave the pool and change. He needed to start finding a guy. Maybe he could try roaming around this hotel.

'Last criteria… I should be comfortable with him. Oh, God! I don't know if I can do it. Can I? Well, I should really ask Selene for a great compensation for this.'

Eros smiled inwardly at the last thought in his mind.

"Okay, now the search begins," Eros mumbled, cracking his knuckles.

Meanwhile, Grandma Elysa decided to go back to her room as she felt weak and sleepy.

She didn't want to disturb the young ones who were enjoying their time in the pool so Grandma Elysa just left quietly without saying goodbye to them.

When she took the lift, the same strange man before followed her inside the elevator. Grandma Elysa remembered seeing him a while ago so she smiled at him faintly.

The man had complex emotions on his face as he stared at her. It looked like he wanted to tell her something but he couldn't bring it up.

After a few seconds, the elevator stopped on the 5th floor where Grandma Elysa's room was located.

She was about to leave the elevator when Grandma Elysa suddenly felt dizzy. Fortunately, the man was quick enough to react.

He grabbed both her shoulders to support her. He guided her out of the elevator and brought her to the nearby sofa on the end corner of the hallway. The two of them sat down for a moment.

"Thank you. Sorry for troubling you. I just suddenly got dizzy moments ago," Grandma Elysa said with her weak voice. She suddenly felt tired and ill.

The man nodded his head. "It's okay. I understand. You already have a frail and weak body now as you are ill."

Grandma Elysa was taken aback when she heard that. How could he tell that? How did he know that she was sick? Is it really obvious now?

She wanted to ask him those questions but decided to just let it be. She didn't want to talk about her illness.

"Yes, because I am already old," she just simply said, hiding her troubles by smiling at him.

But he could still see through her.

"Can I ask you something?" The strange man suddenly blurted out.

Grandma Elysa glanced at him. She couldn't explain why but she felt some familiarity with this man but she couldn't pinpoint it. It seemed like he was not a stranger to her.

"Okay, you can just ask me." Grandma Elysa didn't mind it since this man helped her.

There's nothing wrong with answering a few questions from him for the kindness he had shown her.

"Don't you have any regrets in your life? If you have, what is your greatest regret?" The man asked her, making her stop for a moment to think it over.

'Regrets? Do I have regrets? If I look back on how I lived my life in the past… Do I have the greatest regret?' Grandma Elysa was also asking herself.

"If you will have the second chance to change something in your past life, what would it be?" The man asked her again.

Grandma Elysa couldn't understand why this stranger was asking her these questions.

Seeing the confusion on Grandma Elysa's face, the man just sighed deeply.

"Oh, never mind those questions."

"How are you and your granddaughter?" The man threw her another question, making Grandma Elysa more puzzled.

"Do you know me and my granddaughter?" Grandma Elysa asked the man instead of answering him.

The man was caught off guard by that question. His expression seemed like he just realized his mistake and he was not supposed to say that.

"I mean, I saw you with your granddaughter today. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you. I just noticed the special bond you have with each other."
