Chapter 139 - We Need To Find Your Boyfriend!

"We need to find your boyfriend!" Selene declared to Eros with urgency in her voice.

Eros: "..."

'Eh, what? Did I just hear it wrong?' Eros looked at Selene. His face was covered with confusion.

"Hey, Gabriel! Don't just stare at me. Please say something." Selene nudged his shoulder when she didn't get any response from him.

It looked like he was still trying to absorb her words. Then after a few seconds, Eros finally found his voice.

"Huh? What boyfriend? What for?" Eros asked her, forgetting about the fact he pretended being a gay and having boyfriend in front of Renz, Samantha, Arthur, and Mr. M.

Selene facepalmed after seeing his  I-Know-Nothing-About-What-You-Are-Talking expression.

"Have you forgotten? You are pretending to be a gay and that… you also have a boyfriend," Selene said, reminding him.

Eros's eyebrows were drawn together after hearing that.

"Yes, I remember. I did that to make up some excuses when we barged into Samantha's hotel room," Eros stated matter-of-factly.

Then he glanced at Selene suspiciously. "The issue was solved. So why are you mentioning the non-existent boyfriend of mine? And what do you mean it's our big problem now?"

Selene sighed deeply while putting on a pitiful face. It was her fault. She should have told Samantha that Eros and his boyfriend already broke up.

She thought Samantha was just asking some random questions about Eros and his 'non-existent- boyfriend so she just answered her casually.

Who would have thought that Samantha would ask her to bring and introduce Eros's boyfriend to her?

It was too late since she already told her that Eros and his boyfriend were just fine and everything about cheating was a misunderstanding.

Now Samantha requested her to convince Eros to bring his boyfriend during the photoshoot with the bridesmaid and groomsmen.

"Samantha wants to meet your boyfriend. She asked me to convince you to introduce your boyfriend to her and bring him during our photoshoot."

"Eh? What? Don't tell me you agree?!" Eros asked her exasperatedly. There was a look of utter disbelief on his handsome face.

Selene chewed on her lower lip before nodding her head. "Yes, I did," she meekly said.

She felt guilty for Eros. "I'm sorry. I didn't have a choice."

Eros fell silent for a moment, just staring at Selene. Seeing her apologetic look, Eros could not bring himself to get annoyed or upset with her.

In the end, he just accepted his fate. He had to do this for Selene.

"Alright. I got it. I understand. No need to look like that as if you committed a grave sin against me," Eros sighed in defeat.

"But, where are we going to find someone who will pose as my boyfriend?" Eros asked Selene.

Selene shrugged her shoulders since she didn't have any idea as well.

"I only know a few men. And they are my classmates. Of course, we can't ask them to pretend. It's too risky. That's why I am telling you this, Gab."

"I know that compared to me, you have more male friends whom you can ask this favor of. Just pretend one day. After that, we can start telling some alibis that you broke up with him so that he will no longer pretend to be your boyfriend in the future."

"Do you have someone in mind? A close friend with whom you can be comfortable while pretending?" Selene asked him expectantly.

Eros blinked his eyes several times, not saying a word. He just remembered that Selene thought he was an ordinary human who has human friends as well.

Little did she know, just like her, Eros didn't have male HUMAN friends. All his friends were heavenly beings. Eros couldn't tell this fact to Selene.

Now he was put in a difficult situation. 'Who? Who should I ask? The photoshoot will be in two days from now.'

Selene was still waiting for his response. Eros sighed deeply once more.

"Alright. I will find a way. I will find a guy who can pretend to be my boyfriend. So don't worry too much."

Selene's face brightened up when she heard him.

"Thanks, Gab! I owe you this one. I promise I will compensate you next time," she said with her elated voice.

Eros flashed his cheeky smile the moment he heard the word 'compensate'.

"Ahem, Really? I would love that. I am sacrificing my male ego here just for you. So make sure that I will get the right compensation from you," Eros said meaningfully with his suave tone.

Selene narrowed her eyes at Eros. She felt like he was up to something again with that kind of smile.

"Don't smile and don't rejoice yet. You only have two days left to find a suitable candidate to be your boyfriend. Do you think you can really do this?" Selene asked him anxiously.

"Yeah. Just leave everything to me! You already inspired me after telling me about my compensation, of course, I can do this," Eros said, winking at her.

Eros and Selene were still talking when Renz joined them. He was hosting the game with the girls a while ago when he noticed Selene and Eros.

Renz didn't know what had gotten into him but he just felt like wanted to separate those two from each other.

Was he jealous of Gabriel, Selene's gay friend?

"Hey, Gab, Selene… come and join us. Let's play."

Renz's voice interrupted the two. Selene's heart almost jumped out of her chest because of Renz's sudden arrival.

She was so engrossed in talking to Eros that she didn't notice that Renz was already walking towards them.

Eros gave her a reassuring smile as if he was telling her that Renz didn't hear their conversation.

Renz was now standing behind Selene. She turned around to face him, flashing her awkward smile.

"Yes, I'm joining."

"It looks like the two of you are having a serious conversation, care to share?" Renz asked them, his sharp gaze was fixed on Eros.

Selene felt the pressure around them. She didn't know whether she just imagined it or not. Was Renz looking dagger at Eros?

"Oh, it's not serious. I am just informing Gabriel that he could bring his boyfriend during our last photoshoot with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Samantha wanted to meet his boyfriend."

Renz's eyes softened upon hearing that.

'I think I am just overthinking. Gabriel has a boyfriend. I have no reason to be jealous of him.'
