Chapter 142 - Aren Is Coming

Chapter 142 Aren Is Coming

“So what? The girl he likes is not a good person anyway. Maybe when he knows what Jocelyn really is, he will fall in love with boys!” Rodney retorted loudly with a sinister voice.

What Rodney said was heard loud and clear by everyone in the quiet lecture hall.

His voice echoed across the spacious lecture hall and made people direct their attention at him.

Rodney noticed that Bevis’s eyes were on him, and he subconsciously straightened his back. However, the moment Rodney said that, he felt regret.

The scene of Jocelyn hitting the man appeared in his mind at this moment, making Rodney break out in cold sweat. However, he was unwilling to show his weakness in front of Bevis, and he could not possibly take back his words and apologize in front of so many people. So even if he regretted it, he still looked innocently.

“What do you mean by what Jocelyn really is? Tell me about it.”

Rodney’s eyes lit up at the question. The question indicated that Bevis had no clue about Jocelyn.

At the thought that he had already offended Jocelyn anyway, Rodney became bold and thought he might as well help Bevis escape from this evil witch, Jocelyn.

At this moment, he was like a knight who was going to save the princess. His entire body seemed to be emitting an invisible radiance.

He looked at Jocelyn disdainfully and said, “Don’t you know? Jocelyn hasn’t gone back home at all these days. I don’t know which man she is fooling around with. She is not only not grateful that Mr. Aren helped her clarify the rumors on the internet, but she even cheated on him.”

As Rodney loudly accused Jocelyn of her “crime,” he carefully observed Bevis’ expression. He wanted to see with his own eyes how Bevis would react to that.

However, he was disappointed as Bevis remained perfectly calm.

Bevis knew Jocelyn very well. She was busy every day, either studying or working. How could she have time to fool around with other men?

In short, Bevis did not believe what Rodney said about Jocelyn, but he was very grateful to Rodney because he gave him a chance to make Jocelyn like him.

“Please don’t talk nonsense. I believe in Miss Jocelyn’s character. She would never do such a thing.” Bevis stood firmly beside Jocelyn and defended her.

What Bevis did comforted Jocelyn a little, and her tense face relaxed for a moment.

Although she did not like Bevis, when faced with people who helped her, Jocelyn could not treat them coldly.

“Thank you for your trust in me,” Jocelyn said with a smile. Although Jocelyn only smiled very faintly, it was still seen by Aren who had just arrived.

Looking at Jocelyn, who was cold to him but gentle to others, Aren suddenly felt that the roses in his hand were burning his hand like hot lava.

Aren and Bevis had completely different styles. Different from Bevis’s personality and appearance, Aren was an iceberg that could not be melted.

But now, the iceberg was holding a bouquet of red roses. The contrast was so strong that many girls in the classroom were excited.

“Oh, my god! What kind of luck do I have today to be able to see two handsome guys?”

A girl sitting closer to Aren in the front row held her chest with both hands and slowly fell back. She had an intoxicated expression on her face, looking like she had drunk a glass of strong vodka. Her drunken look successfully infected the people around her.

“Quick, let me see who the other lucky person in our class is. Let me see who exactly won the favor of this handsome man.”

Some girls extended their necks and started searching the classroom. From the corner of their eye, they saw Aren tighten his grip on the rose in his hand and walk towards Jocelyn with a sharp gaze. “Oh, Jesus, no.”

Some girls covered their mouths in disbelief.
