Chapter 106 - Taking A Stance

Chapter 106 Taking A Stance

Keller shook his head. The expression on his face was like a mask that prevented Susan from reading his true emotions.

“Do you think Aren is a good-for-nothing who can be threatened at will? If any woman can grasp his secret and threaten him into marriage, Aren won’t be where he is today. South Side won’t allow such a leader.”

What Keller said made Susan’s face change. She realized what a stupid thing she had just said. She looked embarrassed and even ashamed.

Keller, who used to be a gentleman and was polite, didn’t give off the warmth that belonged to him at this moment. Instead, he was like a wind blade in the winter, and his gaze was so sharp that Susan didn’t dare to look at him.

“And Aren has asked me to organize a party for him. He will introduce his fiancée to all his friends at the party. Nothing you worry about will happen.” Aren wanted to introduce Jocelyn to his friends, which meant that her guess was wrong.

At the thought that she was acting like a clown, trying to get Keller to agree with her in order to get Diana to meet Aren, Susan felt like she had been slapped hard across the face.

She did not expect that Aren would really fall in love with that good-for-nothing woman, Jocelyn.

What if Diana found out that Aren was no longer waiting for her and was ready to embrace a new life?

To lose her career and her ex-lover, this must be a huge blow to her!

Susan looked at Diana sadly. When she saw Diana looking at her with a smile, she immediately looked away.

She had not thought of how to explain this to Diana. She did not dare to imagine how devastated and sad Diana would be when she found out.

While the two of them were talking, Yolanda glanced at her watch unhappily and kicked the ground with her high heels. “It’s been two minutes. How long is your friend going to talk to Keller? You guys are taking up our date time,” Yolanda complained unhappily.

“They probably have something important to talk about. I don’t think it will take up too much of your time. I hope you can understand.” Diana’s voice was gentle and comforting

But looking at Susan and Keller, who looked like they were going to talk non-stop, no matter how friendly Diana acted, Yolanda could not bring herself to be nice to her.

“Then I’ll give your friend two more minutes. If she doesn’t end the conversation in two minutes, I’ll go up and interrupt them.” Yolanda gave Diana an ultimatum. Seeing that Yolanda was jealous and that her eyes were filled with possessiveness, Diana sighed and said, “Thank you for your generosity.” Meanwhile, Keller and Susan were about to finish their conversation.

“Relationships are between two people. We’re just outsiders, so it’s best not to interfere too much. Instead of getting Miss Diana and Aren back together, I think you should consider helping Miss Diana move on.”

“Aren already has a new beginning. I hope Miss Diana can also have a new beginning.”

“Alright, two minutes are up. My darling is probably getting anxious from waiting, so I’ll take my leave first. Have fun.” If Susan still supported Diana and tried to intervene in Aren’s relationship, Keller thought it was probably no longer possible to be friends with Susan.

Looking at Keller’s back as he left, Susan stood rooted to the ground, feeling like something was missing from her body. Her heart felt heavy and uncomfortable.

But Susan didn’t think much of it. She attributed this feeling to not being able to help Diana.

Yolanda, who had been waiting for a long time, walked quickly in Keller’s direction with her handbag.

She pounced on Keller and cooed, “We agreed on two minutes, but you guys talked more than two minutes, you dishonest bastard.”

As Yolanda spoke, she reached out to sneak an attack on Keller.

“It’s my fault. You can buy whatever you want today, alright?” Keller’s generosity made Yolanda beam with smiles.

“Have a good date today. I’m going to go find Susan.” Diana glanced in Susan’s direction. After saying goodbye to Keller, she walked towards Susan.

However, she did not know what Susan was thinking. She did not react until Diana walked up to her.

Something about Susan’s strangeness attracted Diana’s attention. She put her hand on Susan’s shoulder and brought her back to reality.

“What’s wrong? What were the two of you talking about? Why are you zoned out?”
