Chapter 115 - A Love That Consumed Her

Ivy reached the underground carpark and saw Teo waiting for her with the car door opened, she smiled at him and greeted him normally.

"Morning Teo, could we go to view the last two properties we were supposed to view yesterday, please. Oh but I need a coffee first, I'm sure you both do too." Ivy them entered the back passenger seat.

Teo smiled at Ivy and sighed, he was very glad that the misunderstanding seemed to of been forgotten about, "No problem Ivy, coffee first." Teo then closed the car door and looked at Thomas who was jumping in the front passenger seat and nodded.

Teo drove to Ivys favourite coffee shop after getting the address from Thomas. Teo just parked and Thomas was about to get out and go get the coffees when Ivy stopped him.

"I will go, you two stay. I don't like to be waited on remember. I'll be back before you know it. One black coffee and one cappuccino?" Ivy asked as she grabbed her bag and started to get out of the car.

"Yes please," Teo responded knowing her personality she wouldn't take no for an answer.

"Are you sure Ivy?" Thomas though wanted to make her life easier if he could, so wanted to go get the coffees for her.

"Sit tight, I will be back soon." Ivy smiled and got out of the car with her bag and walked straight into the coffee shop.

It was a small coffee shop called 'Little Wing.' It was run by a mother-daughter duo and that's why Ivy liked it, it wasn't a global chain but a family business.

"Morning Sophie, can I have my usual please plus a large black coffee and a large cappuccino." Ivy had greeted a petite girl with dyed purple hair, she was the daughter that helped run the shop.

"Morning Ivy, it's been a while. Have you been busy?" Bella responded with a smile.

Ivy leaned on the counter, Belle was easy to talk to and very sweet, "Got myself back in business and a boyfriend."

Belle beamed at Ivy, "I am so happy for you, glad your back at work too."

"How's your mum?" Ivy asked.

"Good, she's out the back checking the stock." Belle finished up the three to-go cups and handed them to Ivy.

"Thanks, say hi to your mum for me. I'll be back to being your regular now. See you soon." Ivy picked up her coffees and headed for the door.

Ivy walked out of Little Wing and headed for the car, we're she saw Thomas and Teo waiting like two puppies waiting for their owner to return. She smiled and saw that Thomas jumped out of the car and took the coffees from Ivy.

"Thanks," Ivy responded and got in the passenger back seat with her caramel latte.

Ivy glanced at the two eligible bachelors in the front seat, "Do either of you want a blind date with an amazing girl?"

Both men turned to look at Ivy and answered at the same time, "No."

Ivy smiled at their response and nodded, Bella would be perfect for eight of them. She would let them get her coffee next time. Sipping the strong but sweet drink it warmed her from the inside, she heard a bing and looked at her bag.

Ivy took out her phone and saw the message from Noah.

(Hey beautiful, rest up today as tonight I plan to thoroughly love you in every position known to man and give you more pleasure than you have ever experienced before)

Ivy shook her head and smiled at the seamless man before putting her phone back in her bag. Teo drove off and headed for the first property Ivy had to view.

Ivy sipped her coffee and thought about the Governor Anna scandal she knew she had to fight back but now she was patiently waiting on Anna's retaliation. A woman like Anna had used every despicable means and slept with a harem of men just to get the Governor's job and what was it all for? She did it for her Noah.

Anna was too late and Ivy didn't plan on sharing Noah. This time in her life she wanted to protect what she valued the most and that was her business and her relationship with Noah.

They had chemistry, passion, adventure and love that consumed her. She felt Noah was her forever love and she will be dammed if she sat back and let someone else come in and ruin that.

She showed him parts of her that weren't so pretty and with every word he fixed them. How could she let go of such a love, he taught her to love again.

Too many times had she seen and even experienced the cruelty of love and being left for another. It was hard to open up but once she did she showed all of herself to Noah and he accepted her as she did him.

Noah himself was the perfect package but even he had his demons. But what he saw as his flaws she saw as his strength.

Just then Teo pulled up and Ivy thanked him before getting out of the car. This property was recently built and it still looked like a building site. It had scaffolding still up and bricks piled up in the corner.

Teo and Thomas got out of the car together and followed Ivy as she looked around. Ivy made notes on her phone to forward on to Tony. She decided to take on the interior design of this property. It would make them a lot of money if they could get the price down.

As Ivy made notes Thomas had been looking around and so was Teo. Thomas heard a noise and looked up he suddenly saw a shadow out of the corner of his eye from above. Then saw a large brick falling, it would hit Ivy.

Thomas rushed forward and was glad that he had stayed close to her. Thomas pushed Ivy out of the way shielding her. He felt the impact of the large brick on his back.
