Chapter 500 - DISCUSSION OF THE CHOSEN SCHOOL

Jillyanna slapped her forehead mentally. She remembered that he wanted to be present during the visit of Tiffany and Ethan, and now, he's practically scaring the child.

"Darling, what are you doing scaring your guests?" she mumbled while gesturing Tiffany and her son to sit on the couch.

Travis still looked domineering as she strode to the living room. "You can't marry my daughter, young man. You are too young to get married."

"Then, when I'm old enough, can I marry her?"

Travis' mouth twitched when he got to hear his retort. "Let's not talk about it."

Tiffany slightly bowed her head to apologize to them. "I'm really sorry for his rudeness. This is the first time that this has happened to him."

"Of course, this is the first time. It's my first time so see such warm house." Ethan added to which made a surprise look in Jillyanna's face.

So, it wasn't because he fell in love with their daughter but he fell in love to the ambiance of their house.

"That's alright. I'm glad to see that our house cheers him." Jillyanna responded with a faint smile on her lips. "So, regarding the school."

"Right. I brought their current manual with me." Tiffany reached out for her bag and took out the manual and a magazine which features the school. "This is their guide and this magazine features the school facilities. As for first hand experience, you can ask my son."

Jade was sitting in between her parents and she kept glancing on the little man in front of her. His eyes were sparkling while he looked around the living room.

'Is his house not as huge as ours? But he's going to an expensive school so they must be rich, right?' Jade thought to herself. When her mother received the manual and the magazine, she looked at the pictures as well.

The school looked majestic in the picture and there were features of their security as well. There were photos of children playing, eating, having a class, doing experiments and so on.

"I like this school." Jade mumbled softly to herself.

"You like this? You'd have to get up early since this is located in another city. Would that be fine?" Travis asked her since she would be sacrificing her sleep to wake up early for school.

"That's fine Dad. I can manage. Besides, I always wake up early even when I don't go to school." Jade told him with a little insistent.

"Little sister, what year do you want to skip?" Ethan asked her since she will have to take the acceleration test.

"I am currently doing the 5th grade course. So, I guess I'll skip it and move to 6th grade."

"Wow! You're that smart?!" Ethan exclaimed happily with face full of surprise.

"I am not really smart. I just got so much time in hand which is why I studied at home." she humbly replied while clutching on to the hem of her skirt. She was a little bit shy that someone outside her family complimented her.

"If you decide to study in Trine, I will look after you. In that way, you won't feel lonely." Ethan suggested which perked up Travis' ears. However, he did not make a comment on that since the offer was good. His daughter will have a friend and she won't feel lonely and bored in school.

"When do they usually take the examination?" Travis asked Tiffany, his mind was already set on the school that Ethan goes to.

"You just have to contact their administrator and they will give you a date as to when you can come and take the exam." Tiffany answered.

"As for their material, do they gave it themselves or are we buying it?" Jillyanna questioned as well.

"They will provide it since it is part of the school fees."

Jillyanna turned to Ethan to gather a little bit of information about the students. "Are their any bullies in your school?"

"Bullies? Oh, there are. There are so many arrogant fools in school who likes to pick on those who looked weak but, I never got bullied. I am so smart that they would better scram out of my sight."

Travis couldn't help but laugh at his statement. He was just talking about arrogant fool but he was arrogant himself as well, boasting his intelligence in front of them. There wasn't anything wrong with that though since what he said was true. He was indeed smart.

"If that is the case, I will entrust my daughter's life in school to you. Don't let anyone bully her, okay?" Jillyanna spoke to the young boy with a smile.

"Yes, ma'am!" He even made a salute to show his sincerity.

Tiffany didn't what had gotten inside her son's mind but she was happy to see that he was cheerful and smiled. She had never seen her son smile that happily in front of her.

"Since you've been studying in Trine for quite sometimes, how is it like? Is it fun?" Travis asked. He didn't want to bore his own child in a school that purely focused in academic fields. He hated it. He experienced it before when he was in States and he didn't like them. He even hated his father for sending him to schools like that.

Ethan thought for a while before he opened his mouth again to answer. "I honestly don't know the answer to that. I don't particularly find it fun or boring. There are so many school activities all throughout the year but, I don't like joining in any of them. Most of the students in my grade are older than me and I don't have anyone to talk to. So, if little sister studies in my school, maybe I'd have a little fun."

"I like your honesty." Travis retorted back to the young man. "Alright, since she will be under your care in school, it would be better that you get to know her. This is my daughter, Jade."

"Hello! I'm Ethan. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too." Jade slightly bowed her head in response. "I'll be in your care."

"Hn. I got your back." Ethan responded happily. She wasn't admitted to the school yet but, they were already certain that she'd make it.
