Chapter 499 - CAN I MARRY YOUR DAUGHTER?

Six months have passed since Jillyanna gave birth to a healthy baby boy and in these six months, she was in comatose for two months. The four months that should be spent with her son was divided into different schedules and her time for baby Raizel was the least amount.

Imagine, she was the mother and she only got ten minutes at most to hold her own baby. She was so frustrated about it but Travis was so difficult to persuade. She needed to be strong first before she can take care of the children and his way of testing her was the reason why she'd lost so much energy.

"How should I make him work so I can take care of the children?" she mumbled to herself while walking aimlessly in their back garden. "I've always wanted to become a mother but he isn't giving me that chance because of what happened."

"Mommy? What are you talking about?" Jade asked her when she noticed that her mother had been talking to herself while spacing out.

Jillyanna snapped out from her daze and looked at her daughter. "Jade, it's almost time to go to school. Let's ask your Daddy about it. Also, Tiffany will visit this afternoon with her son. Let's ask them about the school."

Jade just nodded her head even though her mother didn't answer her question. She was a little bit worried about her mom. An idea popped inside her mind and she excused herself to get back to the house. Jillyanna didn't know why Jade left in a hurry but she didn't follow her since she knew the little girl won't cause any trouble.

Jade ran upstairs and looked for her father. She remembered something before the wedding and it was something that her aunties planned. The honeymoon! "Dad!" she opened the door to Raizel's room where Travis spent most of his time.

"What happened? Why were you running? What if you tripped over?' he questioned while taking a tissue and wiped her sweat. "What's the matter?"

"Daddy, you and Mommy haven't gone to your honeymoon yet, right?"

"No, we didn't have time for that."

"What about now? I am big already so, I can take care of myself. I can keep watch of the baby, too."

"What made you bring this matter up? Aside from that, this shouldn't be what you're thinking now."

"I know. I didn't really mind it at first but, Mommy looked so sad earlier. I couldn't think of the reason and I remembered that she once told me she'd go on a date with you."

"Come to think of it, I heard it from her, too."

"See? And you haven't taken her on a date. You are busy with baby Raizel all the time. And, I remember that Auntie Savannah and the others bought a ticket to Bali for the both of you."

What Jade stated made sense and Travis realized that he had been focusing on the baby so much. 'Did I make her feel neglected? But she had always been honest to me and she never mentioned anything about this.'

"Daddy?"

Travis looked at his daughter and smiled. "Thank you for your concern. I will think of a way."

"Okay. I just want both of you to be happy." Jade added. "And it is not like you will be gone for a long time."

"Right. Jade is such a good girl." Travis kissed her cheek and ruffled her hair. "Go and play with your mother for a while. I will do some thinking about the date."

Jade nodded her head and walked out of the room. She was just about to close the door when she remembered the coming visitors. "One more thing, there will be visitors this afternoon. Mommy, said it is about my school."

"Alright. Let me know once they've arrived." He was left inside the room once again. He thought to what Jade said and to his wife's request one time. She had mentioned it multiple times but he had not fulfilled it yet. "Let's go on a honeymoon, then." He whispered to himself with a smile.

In the afternoon, Tiffany came to visit them with her son, Ethan. One single look and you can say that he was a child of high status. The air around him was full of aristocratic vibe. He was holding his mother's hand as they got inside Jillyanna's house. His eyes widened when he saw the place, not because it was huge or majestic but because, despite not having so many people around, it feels warm and full of love.

Unlike his home where people come and go, no time for each other and just minded their own business. They didn't care about anyone. Their house was like a boarding house and all of them were strangers living in the same house. He couldn't even say if it was really a home.

"Whose house is this?" Ethan asked his mother while looking at the pictures. He wasn't so familiar of the people in the pictures. How can he be familiar? Whenever there's gathering, he would not come out of his room and he spent most of his time studying. He didn't even like going to the mall to shop for clothes. All his clothes at home were customized and the tailors and seamstresses were the ones who came to his house to get his measurement.

Just as he finished his question, Jillyanna came inside from the back garden with Jade holding her hand. "I own this house. Do you like it?"

Ethan nodded his head and looked at Jade. "Little sister, are you the daughter of this household?"

Jade nodded her head slightly to give an affirmative answer. Ethan's eyes lit up when she nodded her head. She let go of her mother's hand and went to Jillyanna. "Auntie, I want to live here. Can I marry your daughter?"

The house sank into a deafening silence, in which only the ticking of the clock can be heard. Ethan's eyes were shining brightly while waiting for an answer. It was the first time that Tiffany saw such spark in her son's eyes.

"You can't marry my daughter!" A loud and angry voice came from the second floor and when four pairs of eyes looked up, Travis was standing there with a dark face.
