Chapter 491 - JADE'S SMART MOUTH

Everyone knew what accelerate learning means. It was known for children who were extremely smart to attend school who offers accelerate learning. Which means to say, Jade was extremely smart to skip grades. There parents who thought that their children were smart but when they took the test to skip grades, the couldn't pass the test.

Accelerate learning was for children who can learn things for their age and the things meant for older students. The woman who spoke about the 'particular needs' shut her mouth and excused herself to get some drinks.

Hearing about what they have discussed, Tiffany, one of the women who came with her husband Mr. Kroger, excused herself from the business discussion and went to the lady of the house who was also the birthday celebrant. "Happy birthday, Mrs. Madrigal." The woman greeted with a smile and sat on the chair on the other side of Jade. "I heard you want to enroll your daughter to an accelerate learning school?"

Jillyanna nodded at the woman who came to talk to her. Ever since she arrived with her husband, she didn't really mingle with the other's wives present. She stayed with her husband and listened to their business discussion. It looked like that she wasn't just an empty vase unlike the other women. Jillyanna instantly liked her!

"My husband and I were planning to do that. However, there are just so many things to consider. It would be boring for her to learn something that she already knew. At the same time, it would be a bit challenging to socialize with other people if they aren't the same age as her. Don't you think so?" Jillyanna expressed her opinion when she finally found someone who seemed to understand her.

"I agree with you on that, Mrs. Madrigal. What grade is she currently learning?"

"She just finished the 4th grader books that I gave her last time. We are planning to buy books for 5th and 6th grader." Jillyanna's answer made the other ladies stiffened. They were just planning to belittle the child since she wasn't related to Jillyanna and Travis anyway. But they failed without a single fight.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Madrigal. I'll just go and find my husband."

"….I'll just get a drink."

"…I'd like to taste the food that were prepared for your birthday."

One after another, the first batch of women who came to "chat" with her left. She didn't care about them though so she ignored them and looked towards the woman in front of her. "Just call me Jillyanna."

"Tiffany."

The two of them started talking about their children once again. "I have a son who goes to Trine Elite University. It is in city A. They offer accelerated learning and he's currently in 6th grade."

"That's so great of you. You should bring him and visit us sometimes. My little Jade has no playmates here."

"I have you and everyone else to play with." Jade corrected Jillyanna for this matter as well.

"Right. You have all the adults to play with but no one of the same age as you. It's good to socialize with other children of your age." Jillyanna told her daughter. She was growing faster with the adults around her and she was afraid that she won't get the chance to spoil her.

"What about Jemson and Kyle?" Jade questioned regarding her step-cousins.

"It's a little complicated to get them to visit us." It was because Winter hasn't made peace with her family yet. Travis was implicated since he was protecting his cousin. As his wife and daughter, they would naturally become part of the people that the Avery family doesn't like.

Jade didn't say anything anymore. She just continued to eat the food that she like and didn't bother her mother anymore. Tiffany couldn't help herself but chuckle at the little girl. She was just like her son who could think of many reasons to say 'No' to her.

"Little Princess, I will come and visit with my son someday. He is a little moody since he's got no one to play with. If you can be friends with him, I'd be really happy."

"He doesn't have anyone to play with? You don't play with him? My Mommy and Daddy always play with me."

Tiffany was stumped at her words. She suddenly felt guilty because she didn't really spend time with her son. They rarely talk to each other as well. He would always stay cooped up in his room and would only come out during meal time. "I like you Jade. I hope my son is like you."

"No, you can't wish like that. I am me. He is he. Auntie Tiffany, don't you like him because he is not like me?"

"Alright. Stop talking and finish eating your food. It's past bedtime already. You have to sleep soon." Jillyanna stopped her daughter from spouting another word. She was just too smart to handle. "I'm sorry about that." She apologized to Tiffany who only smiled faintly. "She spent so much time with adults that she learned so many things. She can easily deduce something from few clues as well. I am really worried about this side of her."

Tiffany took a deep breath and sighed. "Your daughter is actually right. Thanks to her, I learned something. Do you want to exchange numbers? That way, we can keep in touch regarding the school."

"Sure. I don't mind." Jillyanna took out her phone to save Tiffany's number as well as gave her own.

Jade, who finished her food, didn't have any idea that she just reprimanded her future mother-in-law. But that's a story for the next two decades. We'll have to wait until they grow old, old enough for me to write something about them.

As the party neared its end, Jade went back to her room first to take a half bath. Tiffany and her mother continued to talk while her father chat with the businessmen with the baby in his arms. Baby Raizel wasn't making any noise and it seemed like he was listening to their conversation.
