Chapter 484 - SPOILING THE MOTHER

In the Madrid's villa, Jillyanna was sitting on the couch with her arms crossed over her chest. She left with a smile on her face but when she arrived, the smile disappeared and she was sulking. "He really just allowed me to go? Isn't he worried about me? He didn't even ask me if I have arrived safely."

Cielo rolled her eyes when she heard her sister speak those words again. She had been repeating the same questions in the same tone with grievances. She didn't know what to say. Not long ago, she was sulking because Travis won't allow her to leave the house. Now that she was allowed to go out, she was still sulking because he didn't stop her. Just what exactly does she want her husband to do?

Jade looked at her mother before going to the kitchen to find Sky. "Grandma, can I borrow your phone?"

"Sure. Give me sec honey." Sky stated while placing the apples on the table, wiped her hands and fished out her phone from her pocket. She gave it to jade who immediately called her father.

Travis felt the vibration of his phone from his coat so he pulled it out and saw Sky's number flashing on the screen. When he answered it, it wasn't Sky who spoke to her though but his daughter.

"Dad, call mommy right now." Jade whispered with urgency. "She's sulking and frowning because you didn't call her."

Travis chuckled when he heard about this news. "I can't call her baby. She might notice something and come back home. The preparation isn't done yet."

"Then, what should I do?' Jade inquired. "We can't allow her to continue being like this because it is not good for her health."

"How about you ask her to bake with you. Tell her that I want some cookies or anything that can occupy her mind."

"The only one who can occupy her mind is you. Don't you know that, Dad?"

Sky who was listening on the side couldn't help herself but laugh. She was so young but she already knew this kind of things and it was the most probable thing when it comes to Jillyanna's thinking. Just imagine, when she woke up from being unconscious for more than a month, the first person she looked for was him. She didn't even ask about their child!

Travis also laughed on the other end of the line. "I guess you are right on that matter. Just think of anything to occupy her." Travis stated. "Your baby brother is awake now, I still need to feed him. Do your best in helping Daddy?"

"Okay." Jade mumbled helplessly. Her mother was still thinking about her father. Her father was busy with the baby. She was the only one left with an intact awareness of her surroundings. At the young age of six, she lost count of the numbers that she sighed because of her parents. She returned the phone to Sky after the call ended.

"Do you want to make an apple pie with your mother?" Sky asked knowing what the child worried in that moment.

Jade nodded her head and looked at the apples on the table. "Is it okay to use your kitchen grandma?"

"Sure thing. Go and call your mother." Sky responded and Jade immediately went back to the living room, only to find her mother slouching lazily.

'My parents are worrisome.' Jade thought to herself. "Mommy, I remembered that Daddy wanted to eat an apple pie. I checked the kitchen and found several apples. Can you help me bake it?"

Jillyanna rose to her feet and took hold of her daughter's hand. "You have to teach me how to bake it."

"Okay." Jade smiled happily as the two of them went to the kitchen. Jillyanna actually knew how to bake an apple pie but she wanted to give Jade the leverage to 'teach' her something. Cielo could only watch her sister acting silly because of Travis. She followed them to the kitchen and pulled out a chair to watch the mother-daughter pair bake an apple pie.

"You should actually be thankful that Travis still allowed you to go out after what happened to you. He didn't even pressure you or ask you to take care of the children. You are rather carefree for a housewife and a mother." Cielo commented with her chin on his palm.

"But I don't like it when he is shouldering everything on his own."

"Then make sure to properly take care of yourself. Once you're back to how you were, strong and healthy, he would probably allow you to take care of him. I mean, the children." Cielo laughed at this intentional slip of the tongue.

Jillyanna blushed when flashes of memories assaulted her mind. She suddenly thought that the temperature inside the room was getting hot. "Go and lower the AC temp. I'm getting hot in here." Jillyanna ordered Cielo but the woman didn't move at all. Jade was also looking at her in worry.

"Mommy, you look so red. Are you okay? It is not hot here. Are you feeling ill? Should we call uncle Eli to take a look at you? Should I ask Dad to call Dr. Alison?"

Jillyanna, for the first time, realized that she adopted a child which matches Travis when it comes to nagging her. She was so like her father and she started to think that Jade was sent by her husband to keep her in place. 'Sigh. My husband and daughter keep on nagging me.' She thought to herself. She calmed herself and ruffled Jade's hair. "I am fine. I just got a little nervous since I don't know how to make an apple pie. I am afraid that you father won't like it."

"That's impossible." Jade exclaimed firmly. "Dad won't do that. Even if your food is unpalatable, he would still eat it because you are the one who makes it."

Jillyanna didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this statement. Well, Jade had the reason to think that Jillyanna didn't know how to cook since Jillyanna had not cooked for a long time. Travis didn't permit her to use the kitchen ever since the two of them got together. It was either he would cook, the helpers would cook, their friends would cook, their parents would cook, her siblings would cook but never did it happen that she was allowed to cook.

So, jade had never known that her mother knew how to cook as well. Jillyanna didn't correct that and just allowed her daughter to spoil her mother, instead of spoiling the daughter.

While the two of them started preparing for their baking lesson, Sky talked to Jackie about some things that Jillyanna might prefer. Unlike the twins who spent a couple of years with Jillyanna, Sky raised Jillyanna since she was thirteen up until she got married. Basically, she knew more things than them.

Riley was busy helping the organizer to blow the balloons while Shein helped with the other matters. Savannah was busy coordinating with the construction workers who were trying to finish their task before the day ends. Some people were slowly cleaning the debris that the workers left. Some were watering the newly planted plant. Some were fixing the lights that will be used later. They were very busy. Jenny was in the kitchen, helping Auntie Fei and Auntie Sisi cook the food for dinner.

Travis was on the other side, feeding the baby with milk. They couldn't have Jillyanna breastfed the child because of the medications that she was taking for her heart. So, Travis looked for the best milk formula even if it was expensive. He's got money to spend so he wasn't the least bit worried.

'Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!'

The time slowly passed and Jillyanna kept glancing at her watch. It had been three hours since she arrived in the villa but Travis didn't call her even once. "I don't like this. I'm going home now." She declared and picked up her bag to go back home without waiting for anyone to stop her.
