Chapter 459 - TO THE AMUSEMENT PARK

Ryden lost contact of his men after they were captured. He had been on the run for two days after finding out that he was added on the wanted lists. There was even a price for anyone who would sell him out. He got a bounty of two thousand dollars hovering over his head.

"F*ck! F*ck! F*ck that bitch! How dare she do this to me?! Did she think I'd be afraid?! Huh! Let's see. I will make sure that you would beg me on your knees." His sinister smile crept across his lips as he walked from alleys to alleys. He didn't bring any money with him in case someone would rob him in the street. He didn't want to garner attention and expose himself to the crowd.

He had been walking for two days back to their house. After what happened to his father, his whole family left the city and abandoned their house. They never visited their father in prison as well. However, he was the most stubborn of them all. He didn't want to abandon the life that he grew up and take a setback. He wanted to avenge the pride and prestige that his family gathered for years. He wanted to humiliate Jillyanna the same way that she did to his father.

Sometime, anger can blind people's judgement. In his eyes and mind, Jillyanna was the wrong person in this whole ordeal. His father was the good one who was unjustly put to jail because of a vixen. He completely forgotten the fact that his father humiliated Jillyanna first. His father stole from the people's contributed taxes. His father proposed a project which could put peoples' lives in danger. His father killed other people to seal their mouth. His father beat several women and abused them for lustful desires. The whole being of his father was corrupted but he failed to see it. He was arrogant and a prideful man.

Just before noon time, he arrived at the abandoned house. The once, prestigious mansion was now empty. The flowers in the garden weren't kept properly. Weeds grew everywhere after few months of abandonment. The pavements were mossy and you might slip up if you aren't careful. The fountain was dried up. Twigs and dried leaves scattered on the ground. The colorful paint of the walls faded and there were broken window panes. The place looked like a haunted house.

Ryden opened the door, the creaking sound startled him as he made his way to the living room. "I'm home." He whispered softly even though no one would respond to him. The living room was bare from any furniture. The place was so dusty and cobwebs were weaved all over the place.

"I will make sure that you will pay for all of the things you took away from me. I will make sure that you live I hell! There's no way I'd let you become happy!" He mumbled through gritted teeth. As of now, he needed to hide and plan for his next move. He no longer has anyone to rely on. The only thing he was afraid of was, the captured men would rat on him.

He had reason to be afraid about it but there's no need for anyone to do all that. They already know about his identity without asking his men. Jade was enough to make him trip on his own trap.

In the hospital, Jillyanna and Travis just finished eating their lunch. Jade was waiting for them while talking to Winter and the teacher. Kids have so many things that they were interested about and Jade was no different than the other kids. Her curiosity can make everyone wonder, too.

"What comes first, the chicken or egg?" Jade question while looking at them. "I was eating a fried chicken and I was just wondering which comes first."

"The mother hen."

"The egg."

Winter and the teacher got different answers making Jade even more confused.

"If it was the mother hen, where did she come from? If it was the egg, where did the egg come from?"

"Oh, my goodness! I am starting to have a headache." Winter stood up and excused herself. "I'll go to the pharmacy and buy some medicine."

"I'll come with you." Her teacher responded.

In the end, Jade looked at them with doubt. "How can they have a headache? They don't even look like someone in pain. Did they just make an excuse to leave me?" she asked herself with her round eyes widened in shock and surprise at this realization. She turned to Jillyanna who was currently tying her hair. "Mommy, what comes first, the chicken or the egg?"

Jillyanna tried to think for a while but she wasn't sure either. In the end, she played it with words. "There are so many things in this world that you couldn't fathom or understand. Just like your question, no one really understands which of them comes first."

"I see. I did hear about the mysteries of the world." Jade responded softly.

"Where did you get this question by the way?"

"Uncle Shein."

Jillyanna coughed drily because of her answer. Instead of teaching the child about computers, he was telling her about different stuff that could obviously confused the kid. "Your Uncle Shein has weird hobbies in finding mysterious things."

"I know but, I always have fun when I am with him."

"That's good to know." She turned towards Travis who was busy keeping his things. "Aren't you done yet?"

"Almost. Just give me a minute." Travis responded while closing his laptop before placing it inside his bag and locked it inside his drawer. "Is Top already here?"

"Hn. He is currently talking to Hawk outside the room. They must be talking about security measures again. That's what they always talk about."

"I see. Let me talk to him for a sec. We can leave after I am done." He didn't really have anything important to say other than asking him to think about the Christmas party that the guards can have. He was thinking of giving them a one week off but they needed to find ways about that since Jillyanna's security was the most important matter.

Travis, Hawk and Top talked about it outside. "I'll talk to everyone about it and discuss any options that we can come up with." Top responded politely.

"Once you come up with an idea, let me know as soon as possible." Travis reminded him. "Anyway, we will be leaving. I will leave the room in your care."

"No problem, boss."

Soon, Hawk left the hospital to discuss the new mission with Savannah, Valkyrie and Brown. He just stayed earlier to wait for Top to come over. Jillyanna, Jade and Travis came out as well and found Winter and the teacher sitting on the bench near the entrance to the hospital.

"Auntie Winter, is your headache okay now?" Jade asked the woman who was happily chatting with her teacher.

Winter chuckled awkwardly at her question but she still nodded her head. "I am fine now. Thank you for your concern."

Jillyanna could only shake her head at her best friend. Travis snorted at his cousin. But none of them said anything. The five of them went to the car that Winter drove and got inside to got to the amusement park.

A loud ringtone rang in the whole abandoned mansion. Ryden was wise enough to charge his phone at the hotel and kept it off while escaping. Now, he still got a whole battery life. A string of familiar number reflected on his phone and he was reluctant to answer it. "There's no way I'd let you trace me." He let the phone rang until the person decided to end the call.

'Ding!'

A text message arrived in his inbox instead. "Boss, I have been monitoring the hospital and found the couple with several people come out of the hospital."

Ryden's eyes lit up immediately. "You weren't caught by the soldiers?" he texted back.

"No, boss. I managed to escape at the first rise of suspicion. I was looking for you but your phone had been off."

"I can't take any action for now. I am in the wanted list. I have to hide for a while."

"Alright boss, then I will keep an eye with the couple for you."
