Chapter 442 - INTRODUCED AS HER UNCLE

Jade just smiled at him before going back to Jillyanna. "Mom, what are we going to do today?"

"Today, we well make bracelets to pass the time." Jillyanna opened the drawer beside her bed and took out several boxes. "We will use these things here."

As she explained to Jade the things inside the box, Travis spoke to Walter Damien. "What will you do now? She's already right in front of you."

"Does she really hates me?"

"Why don't you give it a try?" Travis challenged him. "I don't really mind." He stood up and walked to his daughter and wife who were busy checking the small items. "Jade I have something to tell you."

"Don't!" Walter Damien stopped him as soon as possible. "Don't say it." He thought his heart was going to burst. He was afraid to see the hatred in his daughter's eyes.

She was genuinely happy around her new family and it was obvious that they all cared for him. He didn't want to destroy that happiness.

"Uncle, don't shout here. My mother is pregnant so you can't be very noisy." Jade reprimanded him which made Travis smirked at the man.

Walter Damien apologized immediately. "Sorry." He found a pen and paper under the coffee table so he wrote something and gave it to Travis.

Travis couldn't help himself but chuckle at the wise tactic written on a piece of paper. He looked towards Jade who was watching Jillyanna making a bracelet before looking towards the man who was eagerly waiting for his decision.

"I don't want to lie to my child." He wrote back on the piece of paper.

"You can just explain it to her when she's old enough to understand." Walter wrote back to him.

Travis didn't bother with him anymore. He crumpled the piece of paper and throw it inside the trash bin.

"I'm begging you." he unexpectedly kowtowed in front of him. Not only Travis, but everyone else was taken aback with his sudden action.

"Sir, what are you doing?" his subordinate was so shocked that he didn't know what to do.

"I don't care about my pride. Seeing her is the most important." he begged him on his knees, asking him to do him a favor.

Travis looked at the man once again. He was the first person who begged him like this. "Fine."

"Really?"

"Stand up before I change my mind."

"Thank you Mr. Madrigal. I'll think of this as a huge favor. Let me know if you need help someday. I will do my best to accomplish it." He rose to his feet and dusted off his pants.

Jade was really confused with what was happening around her but she didn't really care. The most important thing for her was to spend time with her mother and father.

Travis rubbed the child's head to get her attention. "By the way little princess, this man is a friend from one of my business. He came to visit your mom today. You can call him Uncle Walter."

Jade turned to look at the man who was on his knees earlier. "Did he do something wrong Dad? Why was he on his knees earlier?"

"Yes, he did something wrong but he already regreted it.You will see him more often from now on. Just treat him like how you treat everyone at home."

"Okay. Nice to meet you, Uncle Walter." Jade smiled at the man.

"Nice to meet you, too." He turned to Travis and smiled at him. "I'll go home for now. I don't have any presents for her."

"Just do whatever you want. Just make sure you won't do anything stupid."

"Of course, I won't. I'm leaving first. Bye for now." He instantly left with a bright smile on his face. Hawk looked at him weirdly but Walter didn't notice it. He was just too happy to see his daughter.

"You are letting him go just like that?" Sky asked because she couldn't understand why Travis did it. The man could take action against them any moment.

"Don't worry about it Ma. Rather than being hated by his daughter for his whole life, he would rather spend few years of happiness with her. When she's old enough to understand things, perhaps, she won't hate him so much by then."

And Travis was right. That was the last plan that Walter Damien thought would benefit him the most. He even thought of kidnapping his own daughter but there were so many consequences. His daughter would hate him even more, his business will decline and he could be imprison.

"So, you wanted to act as her Uncle to avoid all these worries?" his subordinate asked him helplessly.

"If you can avoid it, why not? I can spend time with her as an Uncle. Perhaps, when she's old enough, she wouldn't hate me as much as she hates me right now."

"You have a point in that matter. But would Mrs. Madrigal allow it? I heard she's very possessive to the people who belongs to her family clan."

"I will propose something like visiting them once a week. In that way, the child won't suspect anything. She would be wondering for someone like me to visit her everyday thus, once a week is better choice."

"It's your decision sir. I will just support you." his subordinate couldn't change his mind but he was also happy that his boss got the chance to see his daughter and will have even more time to spend with her. Only he knows, how much his boss missed his daughter over the years.

If not because of the danger, he wouldn't leave them. In the end, his ambition caused him his wife and children. Now, he can't even stand as her father.

Just as they thought they have escaped this issue, Jade spoke softly, almost a whisper to herself.

"You lied to me."

"Jade?" Jillyanna held on to the girl's shoulders. "You knew?"

The girl nodded her head as two fresh drop of tears fell on her lap. "I knew."
